John goes above and beyond. He educates while doing his job. When possible he relocates the pests instead of 'exterminating'. Uses people friendly products that I'm comfortable having him use around my kids. Would highly recommend. I have a service contract b/c this is the kind small business that earns my support.

Flying squirrels had gotten into the attic last spring and reproduced to a colony of around 15. I consulted with two national/regional exterminators; neither would take on the job. A local family-owned company came out twice to evaluate the situation, but didn't return calls in a timely fashion and, although they gave me some good trapping tips, ultimately didn't follow through on coming to do the work. I found Green Man Exterminator through Angie's List reviews. Although they are over 40 miles east of my location, they often take jobs in the area. First, compared to the other local family-owned pest control company that I dealt with, Green Man promptly answers or quickly returns calls. Kathy was well organized and flexible in scheduling John's visits to accommodate my schedule when he was in the area. If John was running late with other service calls, I always received a "heads up" or an update as to when he would arrive. During his first consultation, John did a thorough inspection of the attic and exterior of the house. He listened attentively when I explained the situation and demonstrated an impressive knowledge of methods of dealing with small animal pests. He found several points of entry, including a loose soffit that was the squirrels' primary entry point, along with a number of other areas along the roof line and siding. He sealed the siding caps at the corners of the house with pest block foam, along with some smaller holes around windows and roof edge. As I had already had some success in trapping some of the squirrels, we agreed it would be more cost effective for me to continue doing so until I had nearly eliminated them. (It would have been costly for him to travel each day to check the traps.) He supplied additional cage traps and various kinds of baits. After a few weeks of trapping, we felt the squirrels were pretty much gone, so he began the exclusion phase. Wearing a Hazmat suit, he carefully removed feces and urine-contaminated insulation from the attic and sprayed a sanitizing solution on the affected areas to repel the squirrels from returning. Part of the attic was accessible through a plywood catwalk, but John was exceedingly careful when moving on exposed beams and studs so as not to step through the ceiling below. He pumped cayenne powder in and around the main entry point and even infused some cayenne into the foam he used to seal the loose soffit with! He also liberally sprayed repellant spray, made from natural non-toxic oils, in the entire perimeter of the roof soffit. He made a couple of follow up visits during the fall to trim some of the pest-block foam that had expanded and to secure an additional loose piece of soffit that he discovered. The exclusion was guaranteed for one year. Fortunately there have been no further infestations after 10 months. John even stopped by once this spring to check in on the work. These folks are most professional in their dealings with customers. John is most knowledgeable, hard-working, and thorough; he definitely takes pride in his work. Kathy is always pleasant to deal with on the phone and keeps the customer informed. I highly recommend Green Man Exterminator.

The services and welcoming words to the community were great and we appreciate the assistance on the safe products and ease of use because we have many pets and want to ensure that proper care on pest control is taken. John was wonderful, informed, very "green" and knowledgeable. He contacted me after treating my property to make sure that I was happy and had no new questions. He knows a great deal about holistic medicine and gave me some great suggestions on holistic medicine. I recommend John without reservation. John arrived an hour late due to traffic. John's office was nice enough to call me prior to the scheduled appointment time to advise me that he was running an hour late. I was not inconvenienced at all. I appreciated the phone call.

John applied an eco-friendly solution to our ceilings and around the perimiter of the house. This is very important as my wife has COPD and chemicals are very bad for her health. He walked around the house and sealed any openings where mice could enter the basement. Squirrels were having football practice in the attic. In a few visits, John got rid of the squirrels, encased the attic fan (point of entry) in mesh and replaced the insulation in the attic that was damaged. He also added to the insulation in the attic to reduce heat loss. My wife and I are very pleased with the work he has done, the extra mile he will go to provide service and the excellent customer service he provides.

John was amazing and I was skeptical- everytime I asked him what was in a dispenser he popped some of the stuff in his mouth. Now I'm a believer.

It was so bad we were going to move. In 3 weeks we saw none. 1 year later, still none. Absolutely love this man.

Green Man Exterminator is simply the BEST!!! John is incredibly knowledgeable about all types of pest extermination and uses only non-toxic products. The mouse infestation in my basement was so bad that they were nesting in my insulation. John spent a lot of time explaining the products he used and there effect on pests and the environment. The job was a nasty one. Pulling the infected areas of insulation down revealed lots of dead mice and piles of mouse poop. A very toxic environment. John took care of everything and his clean up was impeccable. Next John set out to find exactly where the mice were getting in. After a though search John found the various entry ways the mice had been using and closed them up tight. I love the fact that he uses only natural non-toxic products that work better than any pesticide. Plus he stands behind his work 100%. If you have any problems he takes care of them. A BIG THUMBS UP!! to John and Green Man Exterminator!

It was a sucess! He said we shouldn't see any more bugs and, if we did, to call him. We did see a couple more and he came right back and retreated for no cost! It was so effective that we contracted with John for quarterly treatments of the crawl space and some areas in the house for a year. We have not seen another cave cricket ! We plan to have John come back once a year for maintenance. He provides wonderful service and is constantly expanding his knowledge base. Everyone should be using his services!

The Green Man is an exterminator and he did his job very well. His methods and material are very ecologically sound and we and our dog weren't affected by his fumigation.

Very helpful. Took care of a nasty bee nest hidden under the deck. Offered professional advice on how to avoid reestablishment of a new nest.

They arrived as soon as promised, explained the process and completed the job. Showed medicate results. I will continue to use them. They are really a good company.

I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES!! FLEESE MELTED AWAY! he also sprayed carpenter ants outside the house ...they all died within seconds. This exterminator is the best!! and my house smelled like exotic oils. I trully couldnt believe my eyes! I wish i found him sooner. Do not waste your time with other exterminators that use harsh chemicals next to your family...call green man exterminator!!

He did a good job of treating our wooded land for bees and ants. He is responsive and cares about the quality of his work.

Things went very well. Due to heavy traffic, John from Green Man arrived 1/2 an hour after the scheduled time. I was not surprised as his office had called in advance to let me know John was running 1/2 an hour late (which was not a problem). John arrived and did a walk around my house and playground structure. He pointed out that carpenter bees had also begun to invade a small section of my porch as well as my son's playground set. John explained the process and products that he was going to use. All of the products he used were GREEN. This was very important to me given that I didn't want chemicals used on my son's playground set. He then filled in the holes made by the carpenter bees. For no additional costs, John also sprayed the perimeter of my house for spiders since I had way too many spiders. Well happily three weeks later, I am no longer walking into spider webs across my entry walkway. The playground set looks fine but I guess next summer (and next Carpenter Bee season) will be the true test to make sure the pesky insects are gone. I highly recommend Green Man Exterminators and feel terrific that I was able to address my "buggie" problem without needing the use of harmful chemicals.

I was REALLY confused as to who I should call for our groundhog problem. Having two dogs, and being concerned for their health and well-being, Green Man Exterminators seemed the most logical choice, and I'm quite happy I called. I first spoke with Kathy to set up an appointment with her husband, John. Kathy was friendly, polite and very helpful...a pleasure to speak with. John (exterminator) was extremely professional, personable, respectful and very helpful with tips to be more "green", with regards to pest and critter prevention. John, KNOWS his stuff!! Not only did he arrive on time, he entered our house and removed his work boots, so as not to track in yard dirt. We felt the estimate he gave us was more than fair (he actually charged us LESS than his original estimate, which was a nice surprise!). John came to the house to remove and set up cages, daily, and successfully caught one adult and four baby groundhogs, plus three baby possums! He also repaired two large holes caused by the animals. It's been one week, and we haven't spotted any groundhogs! I would (and have) HIGHLY recommend, Green Man Exterminators and will gladly welcome John back, should we have another pest issue. The whole experience was great. The gentleman, John, was very professional, courteous, and patient. He arrived on time, took his shoes off in the house without asking, explained what he was going to check for and what he was going to do and provided an estimate that was fair and acceptable. The fact that the extermination application is all natural and non-toxic was a real plus and I would HIGHLY recommend giving them a call if you need extermination.

They did a great job. They use natural products as opposed to strong pesticides. They are very thorough and go above and beyond. They are prompt, curteous and professional. The service has gone well. I would recommend them.

We have a new home and a dog – it’s flea & tick season – and we liked being able to have preventative measures performed without pesticides that are dangerous to our pet.

He came and used DE earth powder, an environmentally safe product, even safe for pets. Came when he said he would and explained the work as he went along, He was very personable and respectful. He returned in a few weeks to do a recheck, he called us to schedule the appointment, we did not have to call him.
