+ 0 moreCT Builders Chimney Tech said in April they had a special running - that they would come and clean your chimney, and inspect it. Well that is just to get their foot in the door. When they got here - and I do have an older chimney - the thing is, they made it seem like it was really damaged. I should have checked around and got estimates. I am alone here and I just didn't check around and didn't ask any ones opinion. So I just got it in there. In the mean time next door, my neighbor got a whole new chimney for $2300. So I don't know. I think some of the bricks on mine were not to good and I asked them what they think. And they said: "Oh, it's pretty sturdy, but this is a life time guarantee on this chimney liner." They said it won't rust, it won't do this, it won't do that. So I went with their word. I did go on your list, now they came here and they had a B rating with the Better Business Buro. But they were prompt. They came when they said they would come and they were courteous. It's just that I, on my part, I should have gotten estimates. Maybe I could get it cheaper.
Description of Work: I did not plan on getting a new liner in my chimney. They came for a cleaning and inspection.
