Spoke with the owner of TRU in June or July of 2020 to request a quote for waterproofing my basement. The owner was very nice and professional and scheduled someone to come to my home and provide the requested quote. The gentleman sent to quote was named Shane and he was very nice. He took his time reviewing my basement and talked to me about my issues while drawing out a diagram of my basement and making his notes. He discussed what his recommendation was for handling my issues. Shane informed me he would email me a quote in a couple days. The quote received a few days later was very professional and the price comparable to others received. I was very comfortable with two of the companies I met with, including TRU, and sent an email to Shane with several questions that I wanted to have answered before making my decision. I received no response to my email. I called Shane a number of times leaving messages and one time even spoke to a girl asking her to have Shane call me about the emailed questions. My last voicemail message even stated that if they (TRU) had decided they didn't want to do the job at my home to just please let me know so I can make my decision and pick a company. No reply whatsoever. Very disappointed. If they didn't want to do the job, fine, just be honest and tell me but don't blow me off and not reply. It is simply rude and unprofessional.

Tru Basement Waterproofing employees are excellent. All of them were very professional, prompt and responsive to all my questions. The workers explained everything they were doing each step in the repair. Jose and his crew were outstanding and my basement was cleaner when they left then when they arrived.

TRU-ly amateur operation. Made an appt for a foundation assessment for potential reinforcement needed, which had to wait 2 weeks for an 'opening', for 530pm which they even texted the day prior to confirm for 5:30. Guy shows up at 5pm and calls me at 5:05 from my driveway saying we had an appt 5 minutes ago. I told him it was at 5:30 and "Amy" even confirmed it last night. Guy says "ok, must've read it wrong" and i told him i was 15 minutes away on my way home from work. Guy then calls me again 2 minutes later grilling with questions while im trying to leave work to meet him...all items he could just wait til i get there, as scheduled, to ask. Based on my security cameras and my 13 y/o child, he snooped around my property, freaked my daughter out, who was home at the time by herself (seeing a creep walking around outside her window), then to top it off, he takes off before i get home...again, for our scheduled 530 appt...and ghosts my calls at 543 and 551 to see if he is coming back. The text number "Amy" that confirmed the appt -they didnt respond either. Again, TRU-ly amateur operation, and I wouldn't trust them for my foundation work simply based on that. I mean, seriously, who creeps around a client's house looking in their windows when you know they arent home. Now I have to make sure he didnt steal anything...Hire at your own risk.

Patrick, the owner, came to look at our basement and spent time with us discussing options. Our original plan was to resurface several areas of wall, but we decided to do a more extensive renovation, including removing old wood paneling, resurfacing all walls, adding a french drain around the perimeter and installing a new sump pump and dehumidifier. He provided a detailed written estimate on the spot. Victor was assigned to our project and he discussed progress with us along the way and answered any questions we had. He clearly took great pride in his work and we appreciated his attention to detail. Workmen showed up on time when expected and completed the project in 5 days. After several months our basement remains nice and dry even during hard rains. The dehumidifier helps to take care of any humidity and can be set to any level. We are very pleased with our new and improved basement!

Other contractors wanted to replace my french drain for double the price I paid, which was also unnecessary. I trust Patrick to give an honest solution. He even provides multiple options and costs based on what you want to do and what you can afford.

The work was done very professionally. The workers were very polite and efficient. Quote was accurate and gave extended payment terms which was helpful. So far no issues with al of the rain we have had subsequent to the work being done.

After leaving a voice message during the weekend, Pat called me moments later asking about my issue and general questions on the home. He said he would have his receptionist call me Monday to schedule a day to come in and check it out. He came that same week. Very friendly and super knowledgeable about the scope of the work that needed to be performed. Was not pushy at all and made me feel very comfortable. I dealt with slight water seepage along the front wall of my house in the basement. Caused me to tear up carpet and do minor mold remediation behind my owens corning paneling. Wasn't huge amounts of flooding but it was enough of a nuisance that we couldn't properly and comfortably use our finished basement. After 2 or 3 brief conversations and going over small details for the job, Pat and I agreed on price and scheduled the work on a day that was very convenient for me. Workers arrived about an hour later then stated. 3 man crew showed up accessed the location and went to work right away. (Note: There English wasn't great and asked if I knew Spanish, luckily I am Spanish and was fluent in Spanish so we communicated perfectly.) Other then the slight tardiness, the workers were excellent. Worked quickly and kept me informed and up to date on everything they were doing. There was a slight miscalculation on the measurement of how much ground needed to be excavated which they informed me of right away. I agreed to the possible change in price due to the extra feet of work, Pat later called and said there will be no charge for the miscalculation. Work was completed right around 6pm same day and the guys cleaned up after themselves. They even made sure the sump pump was fully functional even after relocation and it not being there own. Overall great experience. Highly recommend Tru Basement Waterproofing. Pat's friendly attitude, knowledge and very competitive pricing; makes him an easy choice for the next call. Hopefully that call won't have to be made.

With the way above average rainfall our area has received over the past year, our overtaxed sump pump could find itself discharging every 90 seconds. Fortunately we contacted TRU Basement for an analysis and evaluation of our system before we experienced a flooded basement. The company president, Patrick DeDantis, developed a plan for upgrading our system that will handle the rainfall, did not impact our finished basement, and most importantly, gave us the most value for our money. In addition, the TRU Basement crew was very efficient, courteous, and professional. And as an added bonus, Tru Basement surprised us with an Edible Arrangement on our anniversary! We're so glad we selected Tru Basement and would recommend them without hesitation.

The job was completed as described and on the promised timeline.

It went well. There was some damage to the grass from taking the barrels of debris out. After the job was done, A big rain came and water started coming up from a crack in the middle of the floor. They came back a dug a trench along the crack and connected it to the main drain pipe. Haven't had any water since. The basement even smells better, not a musty smell anymore. I used to put on a respirator to go down there, but not now. Patrick was very responsive on all issues and made sure that i was satisfied. He's very easy to talk to. I chose him over another company who was rather pushy, but Patrick and I went over every little detail in the basement and what to do about it. 2 weeks after it was done, the cement cracked in some areas along the edges but after his inspection it's because I turned on the dehumidifiers too soon [my fault]. They repaired that for free and worked out a good price for the leaking cracks and sump pump. I'm happy with the work and have spent more time in the basement since the work has been done, maybe a month now.

Patrick initially came to my house to discuss a crack I had found in my floor after pulling up the carpet in the basement. Upon further inspection, we found an area that the previous homeowner had covered up which had been leaking. I decided to have Tru fill the crack and put in a basement waterproofing system. The team of guys arrived on time and finished the job in one day. They were polite, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. A couple weeks after the job was complete, I had our radon system tied into the waterproofing system as it increases the amount of radon removed. During that job, I learned the sump pump installed into the waterproofing system was pumping, but was not working as it should. Patrick sent his team the next day and they replaced the pump immediately. Great service! I would definitely recommend.

Excellent response to initial request, Patrick was out on a Sunday afternoon for an assessment and we had the work scheduled for that coming Wednesday. The crew was in and out in one day as promised and the house and yard were left clean and neat. The work was performed exactly as described and the workmanship was professional. The crew was polite and professional.

They repaired a water leak, and then had to come back twice to fix the leak. They were willing to come back to repair the issue, and so far there is no water leak. They did the inside and outside.

It was a pleasure interacting with Patrick and the whole team. Work went Shockingly quick and made me regret waiting so long to call a professional. Now I can't wait to get down to the basement every morning which has become oncemore a place where I can build and create things. A few nights ago a pipe burst just outside of the basement pooling water against the outside wall - that paired with melting snow and the unseasonable rain would have surely meant a flood but I heard the sub pump kick on and the basement is still dry :)

Compared to other organizations i reached out to, they did more for the money I spent, cleaned everything and had a dumpster for debris, they contained the entire pathway from the basement to the dumpster so I didnt get the rest of the home contaminated. installed a new reservoir window, and I was very pleased and they were flexible with a payment plan as well. They put in a sump pump as well.

They were very nice, efficient, and did job well. They solved our problem quickly.
