Coronado’s Pool Plaster, Inc. was contracted to re-plaster, tile, cope, and seal our pool in June 2020. The work was performed and completed roughly July/August 2021 (when the final rubber seal was applied). This was certainly no smooth process with many delays, issues, etc. Soon after the pool work was done, we noticed the Vulkum seal around the pool was sinking and coming lose. Also, we noticed that the pool plaster (which is not white but a quartz mix) was not evenly spread over the interior of the pool (see attached photo). We have records of water chemistry and brushed the pool as instructed. We advised the company of the issues with no response. When our pool was open in April 2022, it revealed further sinking of the seal around the pool and subsequently coping that was cracked due to the improper seal. The pool company was advised again and told that they could make arrangements to look at the damage and rectify this since it is a safety hazard. To date, the company has not made any arrangements to inspect or repair. Since we have safety concerns for ourselves and our guests, we have secured a contract with another company to repair that part of the project. We are currently working on obtaining an estimate for the improper plaster work. At this point, we have become frustrated with the lack of professionalism and communication of the pool company and its unwillingness to fix the issues.
