When I called and made the appointment they were very courteous and helpful. The technician came out on time and did the assessment in less than 30 mins. After that things went downhill. I had to call to get the estimate for the cost a couple of times (the first time they misplaced my paperwork); then after the order was placed it took months before I received a call to let me know the window was in. The technician that replaced the window was nice but did a sloppy job. My husband had to ask him to clean up around the window as he went. In the end the window was replaced with success and looks nice but the service overall was borderline lousy. I would probably give another company a try before I went back to them.

Flawless. The shower door replacement was a new door on an existing shower stall, standard size. We were able to customize the glass and use brushed nickel metal. The storm door was a new install, using Larson full view door and low e glass. Alderfer came out and measured. We visited the showroom & picked out specifics. Put down a deposit. Three weeks later the items were in and they came out to install both. The installer did both the same day, was here for about 4-5 hours. The installer did a perfect job. The installation looks flawless. We will definitely use Alderfer glass again if we ever need them. The resonable cost, service and perfect installation are hands down worth it.

Talked to them on the phone and their estimate was lower than the nationwide competitor,and they were accommodating to my schedule. Dropped the car off and it was ready to go a few hours later. Looks good, great guarantee and reasonably priced. Overall very happy!

Great service. While we were at work, they came to the house to measure window and give us an accurate quote. Once we agree on the price, they came out to our house again for the installation. I called another vendor, and they had lower price. It did take surprisingly long (over a month) for them to get the glass for the replacement but we weren't in a hurry. The installation took less than an hour and they were courteous and professional.

They did a great job. They were very neat and courteous, their price was one of the best I received, and they came back immediately when I had a problem with a little leakage at the bottom of the door, and took care of it. I would highly recommend them.

It went very well. They called to say the glass was in and scheduled someone to come out right away. He arrived on time, very professional and extremely neat. There was nothing to clean up after he left. I would definitely use them again. They are very easy to do business with.

I contacted the company by phone and they arranged to have someone out promptly to take the measurements. I was given a price the following day, and we ordered the window. Within a week the window arrived and installed professionally at a reasonable price. I am very pleased with my experience working with Alderfer Glass.

They were very helpful. They emailed me photos of the damage once the windshield was removed. They completed the job promptly. I would highly recommend their others.

We have a custom shower which was built 2 1/2 years ago. The heavy, seamless glass enclosure was NOT installed by Alderfer Glass. Unfortunately, we had experienced issues with the enclosure leaking since installation. The original company did come out twice to try to fix the issue by putting on more water deflection pieces and calking over calk. We were told there was nothing more they could do for us, and that any enclosure was never going to be 100% waterproof. We subsequently noticed that under every plastic piece that was installed to divert water, we were growing mold. These pieces were adhered to the walls of the shower; it was impossible to physically get to the areas where the mold was growing. There was also mold growing within some of the areas of clear calk. The original installer was unwilling to help us. I was familiar with Alderfer as I used to live near Telford, and at that time, had neighbors who had gushed about their excellent work. I contacted them through the Angie's List website, and within hours, the company administrator had called back to obtain further information about the job. 3 business days later, 2 gentlemen came out, and performed stellar service. They removed the old plastic water deflectors and calk, removed and treated all traces of mold and mildew growing from under and within and installed newer, far superior water deflection to the shower system than the original installer. There was two things that I truly appreciated the most about their service call that day: they listened, and they went above expectations. I had explained that our shower had leaked since day 1, and they said that was unacceptable. They did the mitigation service I requested, and added additional deflection to the shower door where the leaks were originating. They took their time, were professional, cleaned up after themselves, were respectful of my property, and did a wonderful job. Needless to say, our shower has not leaked since. I so wish we had just called Alderfer the first time!

Twice (!) in the past 7 months the windshield in our 2012 Grand Cherokee was cracked by flying pebbles. Because the Overland version of this vehicle uses a special windshield with wiper sensors, it should be replaced by OEM (Mopar). Otherwise, as we found out on the Internet, the wiper feature may wind up not working properly or at all. However, Mopar is pricier than aftermarket, so it requires special authorization from State Farm. This is a pain, requiring lots of stubbornness and patient explaining to various resistant insurance personnel, and final approval is by no means assured. So Alderfer offered to go to bat for us and succeeded, even if Mopar disappointed by sending glass with no tinting (more glare and automatic wipers don't work as well). They couldn't have been more helpful with this and with the installation experience at their Telford HQ (144 Telford Pike) -- I waited and used their rock-solid WiFi to get stuff done. They also fully and enthusiastically explained all manner of details about the procedure and why windshields are no longer encased in rubber gaskets, and 3 1/2 hours later I drove off with the job done to perfection. Both times. It's not often an un-sexy job like this gets performed in such a way that you almost look forward to the experience. Great folks -- I heard about them through word of mouth, and both State Farm HQ and our agent shared our enthusiasm for Alderfer. It's not as handy as something like Safelite, which will come out to your home. But if you prize your vehicle, you should take the time to have Alderfer do the job so that it comes out exactly the way it did at the factory.

These guys are excellent! Extremely professional and courteous. They are also very skilled. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner. Price was slightly higher than other bidders but well worth it. I have a lot of glass in my house and will certainly use them again. Wish all contractors were this good!

Alderfer was very responsive to my calls. They came out promptly for the estimate, discussed the options with me in detail, provided me with an estimate in writing. I chose to hold off the door replacement for a few months but the window was ordered & installed in a timely fashion. Everyone that I spoke with (estimator, office staff, installer) were professional & helpful (I work nightshift so have a somewhat problematic schedule). I had also had another company come out but went with Alderfer for their price & professionalism. I'm quite pleased & will definitely be using them again in the future.

We spent about $200 for their services. They were efficient and they fixed the job well. I would recommend them. I didn’t really compare them; so their price was average.

Sales rep was knowlegeable and helped me with choosing the right windows for my home. Installers were on time to start the project and were completed at time promised. When they were done with the installation I did not have to clean up behind them. Also took the time to go over how to pull out the window to clean, etc. Very professional and courteous. I will be using this company next year to replace the windows in the back of the house.

The team of 3 men did a fantastic job. What was unique about their approach was that they spent a decent amount of time discussing and planning the logistics of the job and the order in which each of the steps needed to occur before they began. I believe this cut down on the amount of time they needed to actually perform the de-installation and installation of the glass. They had great teamwork also, which was a result of their communication skills and willingness to help each other out. Overall, I was very impressed with their speed, professionalism, humor, and attention to detail. I conduct team building sessions in corporate work environments, and this team's methods followed the gold standard of excellent teamwork.

They were very good and did an excellent job. I liked everything about them. They were prompt. Their price was fair. The workmen were professional. I would give them top grades. The price charged by them was good since I did some comparison shopping. The quality was excellent. Their responsiveness was great. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

Very professional. Came quickly for measurements and quote. Followup somewhat slow to schedule, but profession staff completed work.

The four bottom panels in two of the double window sets in the downstairs were fogged between the double pane glass. I had Alderfer replace the glass and reseal. I did this in two sessions. I took two windows at a time to the shop to have them measured. Then about a week later when the glass was ready I took the windows back and left them for a couple of hours while they replaced the glass and resealed. The glass is perfectly clear now and we did not have to pay for replacement windows, which would have cost about 4 times more. An excellent solution for the next couple of years. The Alderfer people have been very straightforward, efficient and professional.

We has a cracked insulated pane of glass in our living room that needed to be replaced. I called Alderfer Glass after researching companies on Angies List. I explained what was needed and we set up an appointment for someone to come out and give us an estimate. The estimator arrived punctually on the day and time agreed . After taking the necessary measurements and explaining what needed to be done ,the estimator told us that the office would call us within 48 hours and give us the price for the job. The office called us the next day, quoted the cost of the job and explained that the glass had to be ordered and that it could take up to 3 weeks to get the glass. I had received an estimate from another vendor and Alderfer's price was very fair ( actually a bit lower than the other estimate ). The person on the phone was friendly ,knowledgeable and professional. She answered all of my questions about the type of glass,the installation process, removing the old glass,the payment policy. I felt very confident with Alderfer and gave them the order. About 3 weeks later ,I received a call that the job was ready for installation and an appointment was arranged. On the day of the work, the installer ( Ron ) arrived on time, he was friendly and professional and completed the work and the clean up in a timely fashion. We would definitely use Alderfer again for any glass work. Their professionalism is noteworthy.

Excellent experience. Dale and all of his people were punctual with coming to do the estimate and install. Dale was very accommodating with selecting the accessories for the doors and panels(hinge types, material, etc.)and did not nickel and dime on changes to the accessories. The install went very smoothly. Crew did a great job with the install and cleaned up after they were complete. Pricing was the best from all the quotes were received. I would hire him again for any future glass needs.

I was remodeling my bathroom and wanted to save some money on the glass door inserts that are overpriced when supplied by the cabinet maker. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about which would be the best product. The job was completed ahead of schedule. One of the pieces did have to be re-cut, but it was likely because the 2 doors turned out to be slightly different in size and I only brought 1 of the doors to them to use as a template.

I WENT IN TO HAVE A NICK IN MY WINDOW REPAIRED WITH THE GLASS GLUE, BUT THE WINDOW HAD CRACKED SINCE THE TIME OF IMPACT. I WAS ABLE TO LEAVE MY CAR AND HAVE IT REPAIRED THAT DAY, EVEN THOUGH THE REPLACEMENT WOULD TAKE LONGER THAN THE NICK REPAIR. THE SERVICEMAN CONTACTED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO GET THE OKAY IN THE CHANGE OF SERVICE THAT WAS NOW REQUIRED. HE WAS VERY HELPFUL.
