I called Un-Flood-It as I was concerned about some mold in my bathroom ceiling. The service technician was extremely helpful and explained how to remediate the problem myself, as it was very mild and did not require their specialized services. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and kindness he offered.

A new dual laundry washer system drain was installed incorrectly by another vendor, which caused significant flooding. The flooding ran under a wall and under the kitchen cabinets, as well as down through the floor into the semi-finished basement. Due to the size of the open area in the basement, Un-Flood-It needed to isolate the specific area to be dried. They arrived promptly, assessed the damage, and immediately set up their system to remediate the water. Their instructions to us were clear, and they worked with us to come back to get their equipment. The walls, ceilings, and floors were dried without any major damage or mold issues. Un-Flood-It was very professional throughout what could have been a very stressful situation. Top-notch service!

Un-Flood-It is an amazing company with great people. Both Brian and Greg were fantastic to work with in a time of stress for our family. Our shower was left running for several hours and overflowed into our master bath and into our kitchen below, and even continued further down into our finished basement. We called Brian on a Sunday morning and both he and Greg were at our house by lunch time on the same day (SUNDAY). Amazing service! We had much more damage than we originally thought and they use amazing technology to show you this. We could literally see standing water though the drywall with these tools. Damage was extensive and they had a plan within an hour of arriving. They did the ceiling removal where necessary, hardwood floor removal in our kitchen, tile/subfloor removal in the bathroom, and carpet pull up in our master bedroom. They had fans and what I would call industrial dehumidifiers running on all floors to dry the areas that they exposed. Every day for the entire week they checked in and took readings to see if we were dry yet. They were flexible and changed plans when they didn’t see the results they liked in the bathroom. And they were so tidy too…. besides our floor or ceiling missing, you wouldn’t know they were there! Always arrived when they said they would, and returned phone calls very promptly. Perhaps most importantly, they are wonderful, honest people. They gave us as much information as we needed and even filed their work details with our insurance company for reimbursement. Let’s face it…a company like Un-Flood-It is not a call you like to make, but when you need to I would consider no one else in our area. These guys are first class.

The very next morning, Greg and an associate came with their huge truck and removed the carpeting and personal items that couldn't be salvaged, and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized all the floors and non-porous items that didn't need to be thrown out. We had a lot of heavy, large exercise equipment and woodworking tools and they were exceedingly careful about moving things around so nothing would be damaged. At the end of the day, they set up a dehumidifier and several industrial-strength fans throughout the basement and left them there for 48 hours to completely dry out the basements. They came out each day to assess the moisture content of the walls and the floors to ensure the basement was fully dry before removing the fans. Throughout the project, each time Greg left the house, he would tell us when he would be there the next day and everyone was always exactly on time. Every person who worked on the project was extremely professional and respectful of our home and you literally couldn't tell they had been here, except for the sparkling clean rooms they left behind. We have lived in five different states over the past twenty years and worked with countless contractors and I have to say that Un-Flood-It was one of the most professional, most pleasant/easiest to work with, and had one of the highest standards of work. I almost never write reviews but felt compelled to share our flawless experience with this company because of the outstanding level of service they provided. I would unequivocally recommend them to anyone in need of water or sewer cleanup.
Description of Work: We discovered that our basement had flooded with sewer water on a Thursday morning and called a plumbing company to pinpoint the cause of the flood. The plumbing company sent a plumber--and a water restoration contractor--to diagnose the problem and estimate the cost to repair the damage to our basement. After being told by the water restoration contractor that we would need to indiscriminately cut out all of our drywall 18" up from the floor and throw out all of our baseboards and custom-made woodworking cabinets in my husband's woodworking shop, I decided I should get another opinion. After reading the positive reviews for Un-Flood-It, I called and spoke with Greg, who said he could come out that same afternoon to meet with us. Upon arriving, Greg spent a great deal of time assessing the areas in our basement that had gotten wet and used a special tool to measure the moisture level in the walls, baseboards, and wood furniture. After carefully examining all of the areas that had been affected, he gave us a detailed plan for each room (removal of padding & carpeting in a finished area, removal of baseboards in a closet, etc). He also explained what steps should be taken to correctly clean all of the areas that had been exposed to the sewer water to prevent bacterial & microbial growth. Throughout the entire discussion, Greg was extremely professional and reassuring when we were feeling unnerved by our stressful experience and open to any and all questions we had (and we had a lot of them). There was also never any pressure to give him an answer on the spot (unlike the first company on the scene). We were impressed with both his attention to detail and thoroughness and decided to move forward with the plan, which, besides being more detail-oriented than the first company's, was also much less expensive by at least $1000.

I called the company at about 4pm on Sunday and they were at the house by 7pm the same day (Sunday night!). They put together a game plan to clean all the sewage that backed up into the basement and garage and got right to work. Thankfully the job wasn't huge and they were done by about 10pm the same night. They were incredibly professional and friendly. They did a great job cleaning everything....it's now cleaner than it was before!! I hope never to have to hire them again b/c that means I've had another flooding issue, but if I need to, I won't hesitate!

Because of their great reviews on here, we decided to call Brian from un-flood it for a quote to fix our second-level floor and our first level ceiling. Brian was at my house within hours of initially calling him. He worked around my schedule and came very promptly. Although he did not do any work in our home, we greatly appreciated his honesty. Turns out our floor and ceiling were drying up fine with the methods we were using and Brian assured us that his services were not necessary. He offered options to speed up the drying time of the ceiling and sub-floor but gave us the option to continue doing it ourselves. This shows that he truly is an honest person and is not in business to be greedy. He will not rip you off or do things that are not necessary! We will definitely call Brian again if we ever need more help!

Brian Marra contacted me back within minutes of me leaving as message. A technician, Greg, was able to meet me the very next day for a consultation. Greg was prompt, courteous, and thorough. I walked him through the issues, and he was able to conduct testing in all the locations I was concerned with. He explained to me what he was looking for along the way, and honestly pointed out that the damage was not as bad I has feared and that no major remediation work was required. The upfrontness and honestness of the assessment was refreshing, especially since making it didn't result in work for the company. He even gave me some suggestions of measures I could take my self to help dry out some of the damage. I will be recommending Un-flood-it to any friends or colleagues I know that are dealing with water damage issues.
Description of Work: I contacted Un-Flood-It when I discovered some water damage in my house due to a leaking shower pipe. I was able to get the leak under control , but I was concerned about the extent of water damage and mold that may be have been concealed in the walls and ceilings around the leak. Upon contact Un-Flood-it informed me they would be glad to assist me with a preliminary condition assessment.

In December of 2015 my crawlspace flooded and had 2 feet of water in it. I had ongoing water and moisture issues in the crawlspace to begin with. I opened and insurance claim and began consulting with contractors. I found Un-Flood-It and spoke with Brian in January 2016, and I couldn't possibly be any happier that I did! I spoke with Brian for the first time on a Saturday, and he was at my home on Sunday to look at the damage. He found that there was a pretty extensive mold problem aside from the standing water - both of which needed addressed. Additionally, I needed to address the drainage issue and implement a fix so this would not happened again. All while dealing with my insurance company that was reluctant to pay for anything! I ended up having mold tests done which found very high levels of airborne mold spores throughout my home, including black mold. Brian was incredible in helping me deal with all of this. He recommended a few companies to complete a few pieces of this process that were outside of his scope of service, and they were great!!! He has an awesome network of people to get the job done no matter how complex. Finally after my insurance came through and the encapsulation/pump system was done I was ready to have Brian and his team come in and complete the mold remediation as the final step. They were very professional, thorough and kept me in the loop throughout each step of the process. I was shocked when I saw the difference in my crawlspace! The previously mold-ridden joists and sub-floor look BRAND NEW and my home is mold free! I'm so relieved to have this taken care of properly and I know I would not have had this outcome and likely spent A LOT more money if I dealt with another company. I've had a number of home repairs over the years and worked with many companies but nothing has come close to my experience with Un-Flood-It. Their professionalism, communication, cost and effectiveness is unparalleled!!! If you are flooded or have a mold issue, stop right now and contact them - this will all make sense the first time you consult with Brian or anyone else at Un-Flood-It. Thank you!!!!

On the 24th we came home and found our basement was flooded with about 4 inches of water, backed up from our basement floor drain, which meant sewage water in our basement! We called Unfloodit at around 8 and they came the next morning once the water had very slowly drained. While a different company cut the roots in our pipes, our pals at Unfloodit went to work. They were very informative and helpful. They cleared out any damaged items, and worked with our insurance company to assess the damage/loss. By the early afternoon that same day, they were done, and honestly our basement is now more clean now than it has ever been. They really went above and beyond and we cant recommend them enough.

The gentlemen were a professional, helpful, and empathetic to our loss. The one bit of advice I would give is if you have any kind of specialized equipment, provide directions on how to handle it. We had turntables which were damaged due to some of the protective material being removed from the cases even though it wasn't water damaged. in the scope of things, another lesson learned. Would work with this company again (although hoping to not need to again).

I had a frozen water pipe break in my basement ceiling, wetting the drywall and insulation. I was concerned about water damage and my plumber recommended Un-Flood-It and left a message for Brian to call me. Brian called me back the same day and sent out Greg the next day to assess the damage and give me an estimate. Greg was very professional. He took moisture readings along the garage ceiling and explained their drying process. He returned the next morning to set up the dryer and tubing. It took a total of 4 days to completely dry the area, with Greg coming back every other day to check the progress. This company is excellent. Great customer service, hard working employees, neat and kind. I highly recommend them and would use them again.
Description of Work: On the first visit, recorded moisture readings of the ceiling due to a broken water pipe. Drilled small holes in the ceiling to place plastic tubing from a dryer in order to dry out insulation, rafters and drywall. Returned twice to check the progress of the drying. Before disconnecting the dryer,re-took moisture readings to ensure all areas were completely dry.

It couldn't have gone better! Brian Merra was wonderful, professional, concerned, and went above and beyond what was required. We recently purchased this property and were assurred prior to closing that all mold remediation had been satisfactorily completed. Our own post-remediation test contradicted that and showed dangerous unacceptable levels of Aspergillus/Penicillium. With my husband's health issues, we had to have this remediated quickly and thoroughly. Unfloodit did it in less than one week, and that week included having a second mold test performed and processed by a lab. Additionally, when cleaning out the crawl space, Brian identified a nest of dead mice -- enough to fill a 30 gallon garbage bag. He wasn't content with just cleaning out that dangerous mess -- he searched the entire crawl space area on his hands and knees until he identified how they were getting in. He then repaired that area including placing a soffitt and foam that should have been put in place when the house was built. My husband and I can't say enough good things about how conscientious Brian was and how much we appreciated his commitment, thoroughness, and professionalism. WOW -- you don't see that often in many service providers, so it was wonderful to know there are those who really care about doing a great job the first time. Thank You Brian and Un-flood-it! They were quick to respond to our phone call. They provided an estimate (which was exactly what we paid in the end) and got to work right away the very same day. They were ultimate professionals, taking extra care of our home. They were here when they said they would be here and worked super hard. They came back each day afterwards to check on the drying process and made extra effort to make sure the basement was as dry as possible so mold wouldn't grow. Like I said, our basement is in better shape than before the flood! I would VERY HIGHLY recommend Un-Flood-It. They are very professional, take extra care and pride in their work, and if we ever have a flood again?they will be the very FIRST call I make.
Description of Work: They sanitized, dried, and cleaned our basement after a flood. Un-Flood-It was fantastic! We woke up on Sunday morning, and noticed significant water damage to our house from an shower that had overflowed in the night. I placed the call at around 8:00 AM (Sunday morning) and I received a call by 8:15, informing me that they would be at the house by 9:30 AM. Brian and Greg showed up by 9:15, and proceeded to do a walk-through of the house with me. Within 20 mins, they had a plan for cleaning up the water damage, and were working through the details with me. Because the water damage was extensive, and on multiple floors, they got to work immediately. Greg started removing baseboards and pulling carpet while Brian walked me through each and every step they need to accomplish. I had never filed a claim with my homeowner's insurance, so Brian walked me through the process, and provided me with a quick estimate. As I was nervous about how my claim would proceed, and wanted to make sure I could pay for the services, Brian split out the estimate for me, and actually worked with me to decide to hold off on pulling up the hardwood floor (required) until I had received some direction from the insurance company. Once we had decided to proceed with the limited work, he revised the estimate, and gave me a "not-to-exceed" estimate, which really set my mind at ease. He and Greg then proceeded to finish pulling apart all of the damage. Greg and Brian worked steadily throughout the day, always explaining what was going on, taking great care with all of my belongings (even the damaged ones) pointing out what they had seen in the past for insurance claims, and how to go about reporting a recording the damage to the house, my furniture, and various other claimable items. Both Brian and Greg were extremely friendly and personable, and I was immediately at ease with both. Upon completion of the required demolition, Brian and Greg set up the required equipment, explained its operation and how to deal with any issues, and set up the schedule for the remainder of the week. They left my house at 5:30 PM on on a Sunday afternoon, after working for 8 hours straight, and after receiving a call and arriving less than an hour later! Throughout the remainder of the week, Brain stayed in constant contact with me, updating me on the progress, and when I received confirmation on the floor from my insurance company, he, Greg, and Gerry all showed up the next day, and proceeded to remove the floor. The were quick and professional, removing only what was required, and they worked with me to make sure that I retained as much access to my house as absolutely possible. Again Brain, Greg, and Gerry were all extremely friendly, and made me feel extremely at ease. Un-Flood-It provided me with fantastic service, as they were punctual, polite, trustworthy, hardworking, and most importantly to me, very communicative. They worked with me to provide me with several options, and made sure I was comfortable with everything that was happening before moving forward. I did not feel any of the pressure or unease that I usually associate with having contractors in my house, I was extremely impressed with professionalism and expertise of everyone I encountered at Un-Flood-It. The invoice they provided was clear an concise, and was directly in line with the estimates that had provided me throughout the process (no surprises!) In fact, my insurance company informed me that the report that I received from Brian was cleaner, and far more thorough than the one they received from their inspector! While I hope to never have to require their services again, I would hire Brian, Greg, and Gerry in a heartbeat again, and I would definitely recommend their services to anyone requiring water damage mitigation! Thank you guys for making this trying time as painless as possible!

They did an excelent job. We had a similar flood in the past and I felt like Un-Flood-It did a much better job than the folks we hired the first time. After removing all of the damaged and wet materials, they sprayed a disinfectant solution. They left fans and dehumidifiers to dry out the basement. This flood occured after a huge rainstorm and many homes in my area had water damage. We had originally lined up another company for the clean up, but they were a NO SHOW! Actually, Un-Flood-It was very responsive and I wish we would have contacted them in the first place. Because the first company did not show up, we had additional damage that could have been prevented. Overall, this is a very good family-owned company with nice and repsonsive employees. They were more expensive than the company we had used in the past, but overall they did a much better job.
Description of Work: We had a sewage backup in our basement from the main swer line on our street. The water rose about 4 inches in our laundry room and finished basement. Un-Flood-It removed damaged/wet materials including tile, bathroom vanity, carpet, padding, baseboard, drywall, and furniture. They cleaned and sterilized the rooms and left drying fans and dehumidifiers.
