Everything went well. There were a little expensive, but they were prompt and professional.

I contacted Shnaitman's Flooring America after another contractor Did a substandard ceramic tile floor install. The people at Flooring America are very Professional, and are extremely Knowledgeable about all aspects of flooring. After visiting Flooring America and choosing a tile for size and color, John Schnaitman came to my home, measured the floor drew an exact sketch of the how the tiles would be layed out, and gave me an estimate on the spot. John the made a few suggestions on how to get the floor prepped for the new install (because I removed the old floor myself). The installers were very polite and professional and did the install of the ceramic tile floor. The floor came out Excellent and I am 100% pleased with the way this job came out. The bottom line here is Hire people that do the type of work you are looking to get done. Schnaitman's does flooring and keeps up on the flooring industry. I would recommend Scnaitman's Flooring America to anyone looking to have ANY type of tile work or flooring done.

I was given dates for the tile removal and a new floor installation. I was told 2 days max for the entire job. The installer showed up 5 hours late on the first day and told me the store knew he could not finish the job in 2 days. When I called my sales rep - I got a completely different story. The tile installation took over 3 days vs the 2 days I was promised, the grout did not dry uniform color and had to be dug out and re-done. While digging out the grout several tiles were damaged that they did not want to replace them. After regrouting - the 2nd grout job still did not dry to a uniform color. They came back again and this time were at a loss of what to do. I called the grout company, had grout dye mailed to me and I hand dyed a brand new floor that was 6 months old. The store told me "well we could do it but we don't know what our installer would charge for such a job". This vendor guarantees installation or they fix it! 2 months later, my grout began to crack. After 6 calls and threats to call the better business bureau they came out to look at the grout. The 3rd replacement 'sanded' grout was the wrong color. After more calls to the sales rep - she blamed their own installer and he blamed the office. The final fix was to leave the grout cracked, paint it with more 'dye' to fill in the cracks and they would have to come back again with the right sanded grout color to 'calk' along the perimeter. The end result is that my 20 year old 4x4 tiles looked better than my new floor as I now have a floor with grout and sanded caulking on top of the grout to hide the cracks. When the carpet installer came - the carpet was cut to the wrong size and I had to stop the installation before an entire new order was placed. They cut the carpet too short to the door jam and had to stretch it 5 times to get it to fit. I was told no-one would really know if it was pieced together and wasn't suppose to look that way. The carpet is over 1 year old and has faded horriblly and I was told by my sales rep it was the perfect carpet for the sunroom. She even helped me decide between 2 colors during her house visit. I would not recommend anyone patronize this store. Their quality of workmanship is less than acceptable, the office is unorganized, you can't get a straight story from anyone and they don't care about the end result. Our salesrep was wonderful which made it hard to figure out if she was part of the problem because she blamed the installer and he blamed the office. I asked for the owner to come out and look at the tile and he refused. I was told pictures would be good enough. Over 1 year later - the tile is cracking more and tiles are coming up from the floor. If you want your carpets and floors to look good -don't buy from this vendor.
