We dealt directly with the owner who called back on a Sunday and came on Monday. The owner himself came with 2 helpers. They came an hour early and the owner himself did the work. He was extremely friendly and professional and the work was impeccable. We would highly recommend this contractor for any roofing job. We will definitely call him again for any repairs and when it's time for a new roof!!!

Since I had gotten them for roof repairs and gutter repair after hurricane with very reasonable price, when he came as scheduled ON TIME (not the usual 1-2 hrs late like most contractors do). Great roof work, and included covers on gutters and kept to price of estimate. So I contacted John O'Leary again for extensive attic work I needed. In mid March, 2016, John O'Leary arrived within 5 minutes of the time scheduled! (very rare here). I told him what I needed - my house is less than 15 years old, but always have had a problem with attic dampness and heat escaping in winter. He gave me a description of recommended work which included tearing apart, removing inferior and insulation and treating the entire area to avoid any mold or dampness and install new, better insulation and reinstall existing flooring as necessary. He also recommended installation of a special exhaust fan in the roof which could be set to run both for humidity level and for specific high temperature in attic. I asked for a verbal estimate to be sure I could afford the work. He gave me a verbal estimate and said he would email me a written estimate with a maximum for labor costs. He did not ask for any money in advance! Scheduled the work for early April. He estimated around 3 days total work to allow for treatment of area to dry. They showed up as advised and ON TIME on April 7th. (note: always called to let me know they were on their way, each day). First day removed about 1/2 necessary materials and treated that area. Second day removed balance of necessary materials and installed electric humidity and/or heat fan in attic. Then they came back the following day and completed the work including reinstall flooring, and cleaned completely up after they were done. All very impressive. The attic looks great! Even better than ever and the fan works great. The cost was actually a little LOWER than the estimate. John O'Leary is very professional, knowledgeable with the best plan to get superior work, but leaving options open. I know giving all "As" may seem high, since I did not know John O'Leary before he did any work at my house, but I cannot stress enough about the reliability, no BS, honorable and I would certainly hire again. So obviously, I highly recommend John O'Leary Construction. LLC to anyone needing the best contractor.

Excellent, they deserve an A for everything. John is very easy to talk to, he gave me a quote that brought me to tears, as it was so reasonable. I had gotten a quote 2 days prior and that quote was several thousand more. They arrived on time, because my roof job was pretty easy they finished in 4.5 hrs. and it was the whole roof not a partial. Their clean up was definitely an A. I was assured any problems after completion it would be addressed. I would recommend John and his crew to anyone.

Choosing the right person for the job is not easy. I was very lucky to have been referred to John. His men worked tirelessly each day to get the job done in a timely and professional way. The workers were courteous and knowledgeable about their duties. They cleaned each day as they left the premises so there was no mess left behind. Thank you, thank you , thank you....now....let it rain!!

John was quick with the return call, prompt and professional. Repair work completed in a timely manner. I even asked him for an estimate for a new roof so I could start saving for the project as it will need to be done in the near future. I will definitely hire him when that time comes.

I had John O'Leary and another contractor give me a quote for a new roof and gutters. John O'Leary gave me a better price, was a much nicer person. He went above and beyond to satisfy us. My chimney sweeper came the next day and said who ever did the roof did a really great job and takes pride in his work. I would recommend this guy to anyone who is looking for roofing, gutter or siding work. I don't think you could find a more honest roofing contractor.

First of all, John was prompt and professional when it came to meeting and examining my roof. He was here when he said he would be and I like that in a contractor. I also like how honest he is about the work that needed to be done. His estimate and agreement contained the unforeseen materials if they should be needed (such as plywood or foam and how much they would cost in the event that they were needed and they were the real cost, not an inflated cost). So, I was prepared for the unforeseen. Unfortunately, all of the old foam had to come off right down to the ceiling boards, which added to the total cost by $1900. In order for this job to be done right, the new iso foam had to be used. One of the reasons my roof failed after only 8 years is because the last roofer just shingled over the old white foam board. The new foam board was an inch and a half verses what was there which was only a half an inch at most. As an added bonus, the new roof foam has improved my insulation factor by 10 fold. Where I had no insulation between the ceiling boards and the shingles before, my new roof holds the heat quite well. I used to go to bed with my house at 70 degrees and when I woke up, my house would be 60 degrees with the heat on. Now, I go to bed with the house at 70 degrees and I wake up with the house at 63 or 64 degrees. This is saving me energy and I foresee my electric bill coming down in the future. I also foresee a cooler summer inside. Finally, he and his workers cleaned up the worksite and there is very little evidence he was even here. All said and done, I am recommending him to others for roof work and all other odd jobs. I'm getting him back here to work on my carport roof next. I had other estimates for this job and some were a bit lower and some were very high. I liked the fact that he was insured and does more than just roof replacement. It is also very hard to find a good contractor in this area. There are so many shady ones out there and those who are here one day and gone the next. The roofer that did my roof 8 years ago is now out of business. Go figure. John has me as a customer for life. Thank you John.

Spoke with John a couple weeks back. I was in need of a roof replacement and reached out to see how much it would cost. John responded within a few hours and came out which he also gave a detailed estimate. John was very professional and knew what he was doing. After we closed on the home, I contacted John to do the work. Not only did he come out and get the job done, he was able to fit me in earlier and was done the same day. Still have yet to find any trash left behind. Great job with nice cleanup. I will be contacting him for future improvements. Thanks again John

O?Leary Construction did an excellent job replacing our roof. I absolutely love it!!! My husband and I knew we need to replace our roof and called several roofing companies for estimates. John O?Leary is a man of his word, he came to our house to inspect our roof, and he was familiar with my style of house so there was no need to climb on the roof. He promise to give me gave me a same day estimate which he did. He is very knowledgeable and personable. John explained to me what would be done from start to finish. It was such a pleasure dealing with his company. We found his pricing to be just a little higher than the others, but I believe you get what you pay for. The weather didn?t always cooperate with John and his crew but, they would see to it that my roof was protected at all times and once the rain stopped they were back working again. John was at my home from the beginning to the end of the project which I truly appreciated. John and his crew are extremely courteous and professional. They also did an excellent job of clearing the debris from around my property. We will definitely hire them to do work for us in the future. If you are looking to have your roof done correctly O?Leary Construction are the right people to call!

We had a really hard time getting someone to come out and look at some issues on this home because we did not own it. He took my calls and was willing to make the trip out and inspect the issues on the home. He was very professional and told us in his honest opinion what he would do in our situation. He was very trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone!

John and his crew were great. Before even getting a signed contract, he stopped by our house on the way to another clients job and showed us the window that he proposed for our house. We were planning to replace all the windows in two stages. His crew arrived on time, were friendly and respectful, laid clean tarps over the floors, and even used a Miele vacuum cleaner during cleanup. Today I called him to say what a great job they did and asked him to write up a contract to replace the remaining windows.

Mr. O' Leary provided an estimate very shortly after initial contact and after approval the work was scheduled promptly. He was very professional and did great work. The shingles on my garage roof were replaced and several rotted sheets of underlayment were replaced, I am very happy with the work Mr. O' Leary and his workers did.

I choose O'Leary Construction because of their presentation, professionalism and reasonable price. John was very easy to work with and showed respect for my tastes and preferences. He was flexible and patient in dealing with my schedule, still keeping in contact while I was away for 2 months. He is very knowlegeable in his trade and I felt confident right from the beginning that I would get the best job done. As a single woman, it is very important to me to have a contractor that I can communicate with and who takes the time to explain things, rather than someone who just dictates how things should be done The day of the job, his crew was there on time and finished the job in 2 days. John is always there either working along with his crew or supervising them to make sure things are done correctly. I am very happy with my new roof and have hired his company to put new cedar siding on the exterior of my house next week. In February of 2014, I had two Ice dams form on two corners of my house. This excessive ice build up led to water leaking into my living room and bedroom. The water was so excessive that it damaged my walls, ceilings and saturated my carpets. I had called my insurance company and they sent out a team to do remediation, which consisted of opening up the walls and removing the insulation and drying out everything. This process was a nightmare, they had large blow fans, my walls were open and the ceiling. It was like an ice box in the house. This process took a week for the walls to dry out. The insurance contractors replaced the walls and ceiling and I thought everything would be okay for the winter. I was wrong. In November of 2014, we had snow and I noticed water spots on ceiling and walls in the same location that I had just had repaired in February. Again, I called the insurance company, this time they sent out an engineer to do an assessment of the house and attic. The engineer determined that I did not have sufficient ventilation in my attic which was what was causing the ice damming on the roof. He suggested that I contact a roofing company and have them look at the roof. I was unaware of any GOOD roofing companies in my area, so I joined Angie's list to find one. I came across O'Leary Construction, they had great reviews and they were close by. I called O'Leary Construction and was greeted by a pleasant professional voice, of who I now know as the owner, John O'Leary. I explained to him my situation an he immediately set a date to come out to visit. I called on Friday and he came out that Sunday, I was impressed, most people do not make house calls on Sundays. He arrived on time and greeted me with a warm smile. He did the assessment of the roof, gave me a packet of information for the GAF roofing system and explained in detail his findings as to why I was having the ice build up in the winter. He said that he would have a price and contract for me by the end of the day. As promised, he emailed me a contract proposal for all the work that was to be done with in a few hours of leaving. The price was more than fair, I called John and we sealed the deal for him to replace my roof. On the day of the job, John and his team arrived early and they got right to work. John worked along with his team every step of the way, they removed my old shingles and repaired the roof and then replaced it with the new GAF roofing system. John is a GREAT guy, he is professional, and sincere. He treated my home as if it were his own. I would recommend, that if you want your roof done right, with quality products and by a licensed, insured professional who will treat you right you call O'Leary Construction!!

The process was well planned and executed. The contractor made sure everything was to our liking. One thing we really liked is that he made suggestions as the process was unfolding. I was on site pretty much everyday and saw the process throughout. It was amazing to see the transformation. In addition to the kitchen and bathroom we also had the hallway and interior doors replaced. Everything came together better than we anticipated. We love what O'leary did and would recommend him to anyone.

it was a great job done!!!! we contacted john he came over in a very short time. we discussed what we wanted done we asked him what his ideas were on the project and if it was his home what would he do. very straight with answers. he could have told us to do all kind of things but he said lets do the lease and work forward if needed. he went home and worked up a price. he included his insurance information and his license # . we decided to do it the way he suggested.within a week we set a time to start. very prompt was on time and had all he needed to do job. started right in (i had to work so i gave him a key) he can be trusted with any thing we have. very honest man. his crew is very pleasant too. they did the work as quiet as they could cleaned up like they weren't there. we have renters upstairs and they commented how wonderful the people were doing the work. john also spoke to our renters to let them know what to expect during the project.he made sure the water was running the correct way to sump pumps. also came back to check on job. he said he will be back when we have a hard rain. winter is here now so we get snow or freezing rain, which doesn't affect basement. very fair man! price was excellent.

I had a aluminum roof installed by Machose contracting and the workmanship was poor. I needed a contractor to repair the new aluminum roof and fascia boards properly. I called O'leary contracting and J.M. Shinn roofing for estimates. O'leary was a little cheaper so my wife wanted to use him. Well you get you pay for, O'Leary did the work but right away there were problems. Gutter wasn't finished properly and where he flashed the awning every time it rains water leaked in behind the awning. Also the wood fascia boards he installed are not strong enough to hold the aluminum roof edging and the screws are backing out. I also found out later he never installed all the boards he was supposed install. I called him and emailed him several times but he doesn't want to hear the problems and now says " I SHOULD NEVER TAKE REPAIR JOBS" I AGREE! He didn't fix a dam thing properly! I have J.M. Shinn roofing coming to do the proper repairs<what I should done in the 1st place)

Called Mr. O'Leary and had a wonderful conversation with him regarding doing an estimate for the roof replacement. Was promised that an estimate would be done in a few days. Nobody contacted me in a few days or for that matter in a few weeks. Called the office and left a message. Nobody responded.

John and his crew were great. Unlike other contractors John is onsite with the crew. John was great from planning, to installation, sent me pictures of the progress when I couldn't be there and even came back after the job was complete to explain everything in detail. John is detail oriented and it shows though in the finished work. Very satisfied and look forward to working with O'Leary Construction on future projects.

Mr. O'Leary and his crew of workers arrived at the specified time given, and immediately went to work. They placed tarps around the perimeter of the house, and removed the old roof, removing debris as they went along. His crew of workers, were very professional, courteous, and very pleasant to converse with. Not ever did they stop their work, even taking turns to have their lunch. He and his crew did an exceptional job replacing the roof and the two skylights which O'Leary pointed out were slightly damaged and would have to be replaced within a two year period. I was very grateful for his honesty. The warranty we received on the roof was excellent. His expertise is that of a professional, and I would highly recommend him!
