During the estimate, John went onto the roof for a thorough inspection and measurements. His quote arrived by email later that night. I appreciated that the quote was complete and that he did not try to up-sell beyond what I had asked for. A week later (after a few other quotes) I called John to hire him. He dropped off color samples and we scheduled the project. On the day, John and his crew arrived at 7:30 and got right to work. They all were very professional...courteous and clean. The roof came out beautifully, and they did a thorough cleanup. Good price and good workmanship. Everything I was looking for.

John's communication was the best I've ever experienced with a contractor, from getting a price, roofing warranty explanation, sample roofing, acquiring the permit, and the actual roof getting done. Everything was explained ahead of time and done the right way. You can tell John has been doing this a very long time as he has the process down to a science. The reasonable price was just the cherry on the top.

John, the owner, arrived on time to give us an estimate. Was very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was very easy to talk to and deal with. He arrived within a two week period after providing us with the estimate. John was there the entire time while his men we're working on the project. Besides supervising, John also performed some of the work himself along with his men. John and his crew stayed until work was completed and answered any questions or concerns we may have had before they left. Finished product looks very nice. Cleanup was excellent. Whenever we had a question, throughout the process, John would always get back to us in a very timely manner. This is something very rare these days among construction companies. John was always very pleasant and seemed eager to please.

Very pleased with both the quality of the service and how new roof looks. John O'Leary was one of three contractors who I asked to provide an estimate to replace my existing roof. I chose John because he did the estimate himself, including taking pictures of the old roof and giving good explanations for what the estimate covered; his price was competitive; he promised to be on-site when the work was being done; and he was a certified contractor for the roofing product I preferred. John's crew was efficient and courteous. Old roofing was removed only when they knew they had time to replace with the new material before they left each day and clean-up very thorough. Bottom line is John did what he said he would when and how he said he would do it at a competitive price using a reputable product with an excellent warranty. Hope to work with him again in the winter on some interior house remodeling.

Couldn't have gone better!! My roof was probably over 30 yrs old and in bad need of replacement. When John came for the estimate, he was so helpful in providing me with information about roof replacement (I knew nothing about it) and even said if I don't go with him, these are things I should know when hiring a contractor. After multiple estimates, John's was the most fair. He answered all my questions ahead of time through email (answered right away), and provided me with his insurance coverage once I signed the contract so I could rest easy. This was my first really big home improvement by a contractor, so I was a little nervous. John was very reassuring and easy to talk to. He and his crew were onsite on time and finished in a day. As the owner, John was onsite the whole time, which made me feel good. He and his crew are professional and knowledgeable and my roof looks fantastic! When they were done cleaning up, you would never know work was ever done - they left the property immaculate. I love my new roof and would recommend John O'Leary and his team in a heartbeat!

This is what the experience with contractor's should be. Very professional and diligent. Estimator Scott was very thorough during his visit and explained everything to the smallest details, provided multiple packages and payment options to fit your budget. He was not pushy and answered all follow-up questions promptly via text or phone call (even on the weekends). The contract signing process was all electronic and done from your home (which was very important during pandemic). Company provided estimated schedule and kept us posted every week on the schedule updates (because their schedule depends on the weather). Installation team showed up on-time as promised and did great job. My roof looks great. All small mishaps were handled quickly and professionally.

His crew arrived early in the morning and by sundown the complete roofing system was in place which included a complete clean up around the house.

John was honest and spent the time with me to explain the results of my aging roof. He kept stressing that he was not trying to sell anything and that it was more than all right with him if I wanted another company to replace the roof.

O'Leary was the first contractor to respond to our request for a quote and was the low bidder. He was not able to start work right away due to prior commitments but sent some workers out to bolster the emergency tarping. He handled all interaction with the insurance company, and obtained a fair settlement. The work was started exactly when he said he would, and finished within a week. Throughout, John was pleasant and highly professional. The roof now looks better than it ever has!

John and his team were extremely professional from start to finish. From setting up an appointment for a quote, drawing up a contract, and scheduling the day to do the job John was always on time, communicated through every step, reasonable with his quote and they did a great job to boot. Not only was the work completed to my satisfaction they went above and beyond to make sure they left the area clean and ready to go. I was very impressed with their work and will definitely be using O'Leary Construction for future projects, you should too!

O'Leary Construction was awesome - somehow my original call to them got lost, and when John called, he was extremely apologetic about the delay in getting back to me. From that point on he was quick to come by, give a quote for a metal roof, explain what is done and leave me information to read and review. When I decided the cost was too high, he was quick to give me a quote for a shingle roof instead. It was quite reasonable, and he was able to hook me up with someone to replace my gutters, as well. They arrived bright and early on the day they said they would and went right to work. They were professional and they were incredible in their clean up. Once done, John had me come outside and explained how the shingles would lay flatter over the next two weeks and let me know if I had ANY issues, to please give him a call. It's been about 3 weeks, all looks good, my warrenty arrived and I am a happy girl. I would recommend O'Leary in a heartbeat. The folks who then came and did my new gutters? Same thing. The two companies have worked together before and they provided excellence, too. I don't recall the name of their company, but the cost of the gutters is not included in the cost of roof replacement.

The services we received from John with O’Leary Construction were outstanding and professional. I strongly recommend John for all of your roofing and home improvement needs. I contracted them for a shingle roof install for my 4400sq. foot home. His crew seemed very professional and courteous, although I did not interact with them that much, they clearly had the experience needed to finish the project in a timely manner. They promptly arrived at 7:30am each morning and started working immediately while working diligently until dark. When the project was completed a thorough cleanup was performed along with multiple sweeps around the house with a magnet to ensure all of the roofing nails and debris were accounted for. I would recommend this company to anyone. With fair prices, excellent work and professionalism O’Leary Construction will be on the top of my list for future home improvements.

O Leary roofing arrived at 7:30 AM as they said they would, set up and started working. They worked diligently and completed the job just as the light deminished. They removed all debris and cleaned the area. We would highly recommend them and are completely satisfied..

I had a great experience working with John O'Leary! He took a stressful situation for me and made it very simple. He kept me informed of the plan, and as each step of the way was completed. He responded to me promptly when I had questions, and was very courteous of my neighbors properties when my work was being complete. (I live in a twin house) I would highly recommend him for work, and will absolutely hire him back if I need anything in the future. (I even requested extra business cards to hand out as he is very personable and knowledgeable in this field!)

Great, John did his usual perfectionist job! He had installed the siding on my house years ago and did a great job then too. His team Arrived at dawn, around 7 am. Had the old shingles off by noon. They installed the new underlay, vents and 50-year shingles, straight as an arrow. The next morning arrived, with rain threatening, they finished by Noon, just as it started. Did a great job on cleanup, using large magnets to pick up any nails that might have hurt my lawnmower in the Spring.

Nightmare. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Selected because of reviews which seem inaccurate. Contractor did not show for appointment for estimate. When calling him to ask what happened, he said he got busy. No apologies. After chasing him, finally came out to do measurements. Had to chase him again for the estimate. Said he had a family emergency. The estimate provided was a low-ball at a high price. The price did not include essential parts of the job, saying it was all at additional unknown costs. This made the estimate useless. Again, when contacting him for a complete estimate he did not respond.

I found Mr. O'Leary to be very informative with a hard working crew. His estimate for work to be completed was competitive and very detailed. He answered all my questions, took pictures and kept me informed through the process. Roof looks great and his crew did an excellent job of cleaning up the property. Would not hesitate to recommend him highly. A professional businessman to work with.

We chose John O'Leary to do our work because we were impressed with his quotations and his work ethic. We liked that he was a "local" businessman and had a vested interest in the work he did and how things turned out. As he explained to us "I'm the one who drives the nails"..... We liked the fact that he had been doing this kind of work since he was a child when he worked with his father and had extensive knowledge. He really educated us on "just because that brand Windows is heavily advertised doesn't mean it's the best quality"---we appreciated that! The quotations were the best in the Valley (we got MANY)---The work is top-notch and we have really found "Our Contractor" for all future work needing done. If you want honesty and integrity---you cannot go wrong with O'Leary Construction!!

Thank you for taking the time in the busy summer schedule to handle my roof repair. I had a "mystery" leak for some time at my house and contacted multiple companies to come investigate and do the repair, most of the companies didn't want to bother with a job this small during the summer when roof installation is at peak. One company recommended to call back during off season in beginning of winter and others didn't even return my calls. John O'Leary called me back personally, came to provide estimates, we agreed on the price and the work to be done and he put me on schedule and showed up as promised. Work was done as promised, clean and he even provided one return trip warranty in case it leaks again. Thank you for courteous service.
