Spice It Up Handyman-I Do It All!

I texted Brian Saturday afternoon and he was able to stop out Saturday evening and do the work on Monday. In the past when I have called handy men, I usually had to wait 3 weeks, so this was great. Will definitely use him again.

The front door was streaked, he professed to be an expert on stain and its application . He left the fan apart and told me to go to lowes get a new fan and put the old one in the new box and return it!

Brian was punctual, courteous and professional. He did a wonderful paint job with great attention to detail - crisp paint lines where ceiling meets the walls!

Brian is fantastic. Very professional; responsive and super nice. He did a great and thorough job on everything I asked him to do. I'll be hiring him again. Probably often.

One evening as I was preparing dinner, and my toddler was running around the house, my kitchen ceiling fan dropped from the ceiling, all the while still spinning. Pull chains were flying, and we ran for cover, not being entirely clear what was going on (you can't look at a flying ceiling fan!) We got our senses about ourselves, and shut it off. Being in a very old house without box mounts, we didn't really know what to do to ensure that the attack of the fan didn't happen again. In comes Brian. He was prompt and pleasant. More importantly, he reinstalled our fan so that it is now safe and sturdy. He did a great job, and we genuinely enjoyed having him in our home. We would absolutely hire him again!

The secret's out! I really hate writing this review because it might make it harder for me to get on Brian's schedule in the future! I really needed my mailbox installed ASAP and Brian was able to fit me into his schedule on short notice. He was timely, friendly, and very professional. He didn't mind me asking questions, and he explained everything before he did the work. He rehung my shed doors, installed my mailbox, and was able to take notes/measurements for the other jobs I had. I am very happy with the work already completed, and am looking forward to working with him in the future.

Brian is a skilled, conscientious, and SMART handyman and a delightful human being, and I cannot recommend him enough! One of the projects I needed was a holiday gift, and Brian was kind enough to work me into his schedule to make that happen on time. He arrived at 9 am on the dot and worked quickly and efficiently with no break for 6 hours. I assisted and kept him company throughout the day, which he said he appreciates, and I saw how meticulous and careful he is with his work. Brian does not estimate or eyeball anything; he measures carefully and double-checks all his work. If you are very OCD or particular about how things are done, Brian is your guy. He is skilled in many areas; in addition to the assembling and hanging he did, he also saved me an expensive electrician's fee by figuring out what was wrong with my non-functioning lamp post. Do yourself a favor and hire this man, and don't be afraid to throw anything and everything at him! He can most likely handle it all.

Brian is punctual, skilled, and a nice guy. He arrived as scheduled. The work was very good. He cleaned up after himself. The work took less time Han expected.

Brian arrived by 9AM each of the three days and worked continuously the entire workday. He is a quick, efficient, and thorough worker. He answered all of my questions as he worked. Any additional problems were pointed out and choices were presented to me. The dining room looked super when he finished the wallpaper removal and painting. The upstairs hall was another tough job, but ended up looking as if nothing was ever wrong with it. The kitchen's ceiling patch is perfect. I was very pleased with every job that he did for me and will not hesitate to call him again.

He could have suggested options that would have cost me a lot more money but suggested all I needed was an high grade splitter instead of me running a new electric line

Brian always returned my calls and was punctual. He worked very fast and efficiently. Will definitely be using him in the future.

Brian did an overall great job. My wife and I are extremely busy and have unpredictable work schedules and he worked around us. In fact, we had to delay his arrival at the last minute on one of the days because we couldn't be home and instead of canceling he worked around the inconvenience. He works by the hour and I was pleased to see that every hour was spent doing just that...working. He spent 2.5 days at our house and worked non-stop (I didn't even see him take a lunch break). Also, we have an older house and with that comes lots of little surprises when trying to accomplish these "DIY projects" (thats another reason I decided to hire someone to deal with many of the "simple" fixes). For example, when he went to replace the chandelier it became obvious that the box that the old one as attached to was non-standard and needed to be replaced/modified to work with the new one. He wasn't discouraged he just made the needed modifications and installed it. Another hiccup came in our sons' bathroom. When he removed the broken inset medicine cabinet it revealed a giant hole that needed to be fixed before a new cabinet was installed. He had to place 2x4 studs and hang drywall to accomplish this. He also removed the old broken fan to reveal it was never vented at all. He also had to cut a different sized hole in our ceiling to mount the new fan box which he did and it looks seamless. Lastly, he installed an outside vent and connected the new bathroom fan so it now vents outside instead of inside the attic. We have already recommended Brian to two of our neighbors and he we are already generating another list for him to accomplish.

Brian is always courteous, professional, prompt, trustworthy and cares about the quality of his work. The wallpaper in my dining room was very difficult to remove but he did a great job. The ceiling in my shower was fixed multiple times due to the poor construction. Brian devised a solution that has worked wonderfully. I will call him any time I need any thing fixed.

Brian Spicer was punctual and quickly proceeded to repair the items on my list. I was especially impressed that he was able to put back together a futon that my brother and friend took apart to move from the family room to the basement. My brother's friend, who I thought was a capable handyman, could not figure out how to put it back together even though he took it apart. Brian quickly solved the problem including fixing one of the legs that was broken in the move. I was impressed that Brian could do the variety of repairs on my list. He was capable, quick, and professional. I would be happy to recommend him to my friends. I plan to use Brian in the near future for other projects including removing wallpaper and painting, hanging wood shelves that I plan to purchase, etc.

Once again, Brian did a fantastic job! I needed an electrical outlet in my hallway. Due to some structural problems in the wall another registered electrician tried and failed to get an outlet in the wall. When Brian was here for another job he promised that he could put an outlet in. It proved to be difficult, but Brian persevered as he tried several ways to hook it up and thread the wire down. He thought the problem through and never gave up - eventually he worked the wire down. I now have a wonderful outlet for my hall lamp! Brian has excellent skills as a handyman in all areas. He is creative and always suggests the best way to do a project. He is always mindful that his work complies with code. I found this especially important in dealing with this electrical situation. You always know that Brian's work will be safe and done right. Brian is a true professional who takes pride in his work and his business. He is punctual, knowledgeable and works hard the entire time to get the job done in a timely manner. I am always very pleased with his excellent work.

Brian is an extremely hard worker and he did an excellent job with the wallpaper removal and all of the painting. He works quickly, but he also attends to all of the details. I was happy when he asked if he could repair an old patch on the drywall - it looks excellent now. He also went ahead and caulked around the doors where there were gaps. The painting of the doors was a tedious job, but Brian did each door beautifully. He removed the new door handles so as not to get them spattered with paint. Brian takes great pride in his work and makes sure that the customer is pleased with the outcome. Brian is reliable and punctual and puts in a full days work. I have used Brian for several jobs and I am always happy with the quality of his work.

Brian Spicer is a very professional, knowledgeable handyman. He is prompt, respectful of your home and property and does a great job. Because of his confidence and knowledge, he works quickly but doesn't cut corners and jeopardize the integrity of the job. Even if its a small job, he will fit you in promptly. I will definitely call him again.

Ok here we go.. I called Bryan from Angie's list. We spoke about his process and costs..I Iaid out my needs and told him to pick a day to do my projects. He picked July 29 2015. At 9am sharp he was at my door.. Little did we know that July 29 was going to be an extremely brutal hot and muggy day.. This man worked tirelessly from 9.to.5pm in that terrible heat. I insisted that he should come inside and cool off and hydrate. He did, but after a few minutes-- back out he went to do more work. Very impressive.! He said at the end of the day, he would be back Saturday to finish it up.. He kept his word and finished after three miore hours of work.. The costs I mentioned before, included materials and labor.. Two by fours, insulation ,panelling etc. Oh, and Bryan picked up the materials at Home Depot for me as well.. I'm not one to use other people to do my work. I like to do it myself, but this guy is a true find. He is fast ,spot on, polite and an all around nice guy. I am scheduling other jobs for him to do.. His prices are very fair in my opinion. I trust him and his work ethic. Now that I have seen him in action we will get along just fine.. If you use him ,you will feel the same way i do. I'm sure of that.. great job Bryan spicer

If I could I would give A+ to Brian. We needed an urgent repair to a hole on the drywall on our garage ceiling, left by our plumber. Brian was able to squeeze time for this urgent request and showed up the next day I called. He was very fast and professional and did the work in 45 minutes! We were very impressed and would recommend him to everyone.

He was very nice, I liked him he repaired a bathroom drywall for me. He cleaned up very well. He was very good, he did a very nice job actually. And I would use him again in future.
