The response time was excellent. I had an appointment for an estimate within a week of my initial call. The gentleman that came to do the estimate was courteous and professional. He listened to what I wanted and provided me with an estimate that included both choices of decking. I thought the estimate he gave was very fair and competitive to others. The only reason we didn't hire this contractor is because we checked to see what it would cost to do it ourselves and decided to go in that direction to save money.

I had used Leaman Construction on a project before and was very pleased with the quality of their work. Durran very quickly came over and looked at my project. He made several suggestions that other contractors had not made about the project. He also included painting the trim in his estimate, which the others did not. His price was about 75% of the other estimates I received. The work had to wait until painting that I had contracted was completed. He worked very well within the schedule. He estimated 2 days to complete the work and that is what it took. He and Jeff arrived on the first day and he again went over the project with me. He picked trim that complimented my 90 year old row home's existing moldings. There were some challenges facing them (unsquare door frames, curved ceilings) and Durran always showed me what he planned to do before proceeding. The result was a very pleasing appearance. They cleaned up completely. Durran is very pleasant and courteous and I would not hesitate to hire him again. He is always my first call when I need work done.

Durran responded quickly and gave a free estimate. The other contractors who gave estimates said that simply taping the joint between the new ceiling and wall would be OK. Durran explained why just taping might not work as well as adding molding. He and his helper were extremely conscientious about cleaning up after every phase of the job. I would not hesitate to recommend him. I will certainly contact him if I er need additional work.

We called Durran Lehman for an estimate to upgrade our dining room, which was an added room to the original structure. He was extremely professional, very helpful, answered all our questions, totally explained what he was planning on doing, without being condescending. His associated joined him on the estimate and was also very helpful. We also wanted out deck replaced and enlarged, and our two bathrooms were to be totally gutted out and rebuilt from the studs. They were very reasonable, pricewise and was even willing to negotiate the price. He explained that it is better to remove the old drywall and replace it with mildew resistant drywall and this way you can look for any water or mold damage, as well as replacing or upgrading the insulation. We decided to replace the deck and the two bathrooms. The work was done quickly and neatly by Durran, and Mike his assistant. The master bathroom came out beautiful, and any problems he quickly resolved, no questions asked. The deck removal was perfectly timed as the old smaller deck was fairly rotted. During the inspection of the old deck and the attached dining room which was built without a foundation, he found that some of the support beams were rotted, which could of lead to the eventual collapse of the room. He came up with a plan to resupport the room using two sets of 6x8 support joists, bolted two steel support beams, built into 4 concrete footings. Everything he did was done perfectly and my wife and I could say that this was a great experience. We totally recommend this company to anyone who wants an great quality, great price, well done job, and we couldnt be happier.
