They were awful. I will avoid at all costs in the future.
Description of Work: Our experience with Mike's Video has been disappointing, to say the least. This summer we bought a hood, a range, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator from them. First, they sold us too strong of a vent when we couldn't have anything more the 500 cfm. Then, when the hood's lights blinked like strobe lights with the bulbs they sold to us (about $30 a piece), they told us they wanted to fix it (not replace it). When they couldn't fix it, it wasn't until I called the company myself to learn that Mike's sold us the wrong kind of bulb. Then, for the refrigerator, the installers from Mike's couldn't get it level -- they left and it unlevel, and our contractors leveled it for us (thank god). The installers from Mike's also hastily pulled off the screw covers when changing the side of the refrigerator door, cracking them and chewing them up (on the front of the door). The refrigerator was brand new and it looked awful because of the horrific install. Then the dishwasher name plate had a gash across it. And finally, the door of the range had a big dent in the side which we all noticed immediately when it was being installed. We told Mike's about it and wanted it replaced. They said okay. About two months later I called and asked about it. At that point it hadn't been ordered (I was told). Just now, I called again (it's been five months now). I was told they would check on it. I reiterated that they sold us a dented appliance. They basically shrugged their shoulders and said it takes a long time to get them replaced. I told him they they could give us money for a discount. He said he would give us $200. That kind of discount is a far cry from what they give for discounts when trying to sell something from their store. So...... We bought four things from Mikes. The hood (sold wrong one at first, wrong part, wrong bulbs). The refrigerator (bad install damaged the front and installers left it unlevel). The dishwasher (gash in nameplate on front). The range (dent in door, still not fixed). For those of you with similar experiences, is an attorney necessary to get them to fix their poor service and shoddy work? My experience with them has been shockingly bad.

They were awful. I will definitely discourage people from going to this store.

Mikes Video sells a wide range of appliances like TVs, ranges, stereos, and refrigerators. I know the owner, the manager, and the sales people and can bargain with them without them getting mad at me. I get the best prices and the delivery people are excellent. They made sure there wasn't any scratches and installed everything. They also check everything out and make sure you're satisfied before they leave. I've been using them for about 30 years and for that span of time I have bought different appliances from them and as opposed to Lowes or Home Depot, which supposed to offer lower prices, you can go to them and haggle and bargain and they always beat the big stores.
Description of Work: I went to Mikes Video about two weeks ago to get a washer and dryer.
