These guys were pros from the start to the finish. Professional, neat, orderly and respectful. Did excellent work and our back yard has never looked better. I would recommend Madden Landscaping to everyone.

Everything went very smoothly. The price was good, Daryl was responsive and performed the work promptly. I would recommend them to others and I plan to use them again.

Extremely disappointed in lack of service, accountability, communication and honesty. Based on good reviews in Angies List, we hired Madden to build a berm and plant 15 Arbor Vitae trees. Asked him specifically if planting in the summer heat was a problem, he assured us it was not. Within a week, two trees were dying. In less than a month, six more were browning and dying or dead. When calling Madden to address this he first stated we did not purchase the “optional warranty” on the trees. We quickly pointed out no such warrantee was ever mentioned and not listed in a single quote or email. In addition, every home and garden center provides a one year warrantee on trees and plants. After replacing one, he grudgingly agreed to replace four of the six dead trees and it took repeated emails and calls to get him to do that. A few others are not looking so good. To add to his growing list of double speak and inconsistency, he said we shouldn’t plant the replacement trees until the heat was over – a complete contradiction to what he told us before (see paragraph one). Even though we bought replacements for the dead trees he refused to plant with our own money, he wanted to charge us to replant those. We refused. I have used many local contractors for work on our home, some in the tens of thousands of dollars. I treat them fairly and pay on time. I have given many positive reviews here for my contractors and a few negative ones as well. My expectations are simple – value for what is paid, standing by your work, accountability for problems, and honesty. Madden Landscaping fell short in all areas. They are the worst company I have ever dealt out of dozens of contractors. See the pictures attached. Would you pay nearly $2000 for a row of trees that looked like this within 6 weeks? If you did, would you expect the landscaper who did this to stand behind their work? I have heard Angie’s List removes negative reviews for vendors who pay for advertising. I am also posting this on Consumer Checkbook, Yelp, Google reviews, and will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

We're very happy with the work that Daryl's team did. He showed up the day after I told him we wanted him to do the work and his crew of 5 worked hard all day long and transformed our overgrown yard into a professional, neat series of distinct beds and trimmed shrubs.

It took a couple of attempts but Daryl eventually stopped by to take a look at my property. He provided a quote later that day and was able to get out and perform the leaf "clean up" 2 days later, before I had company over. Property looks great without all those extra leaves.

This is without a doubt top notch when it comes to landscaping and lawn care. Daryl Madden is well educated in this business. He takes a lot of pride in his work. I would recommend Madden Landscaping and Lawn Care highly! He and his crews are excellent! Dan

I requested a quote and the owner reached out and left me a message. When I called back, I gave him my availability the following week and he wasn't sure if he could come by. I explained what I wanted done and told him he could come by when I wasn't there (my yard is not fenced). He agreed and I understood he'd be by the next week when I was at work. Two weeks later and I've heard nothing. I followed up and left a message. No response. I'd prefer for a company to get back to me and say they're booked rather than have me waiting around for a quote that's never going to happen. It's disrespectful and unprofessional. I would not recommend working with this company.

Excellent service. Response from Daryl was prompt. Estimates were out quickly and Daryl and the team worked to get me added to the schedule. The service has been excellent and Madden Landscaping has done a great job.

As promised and completed professionally done. This is the best our yard has looked for years!! Very responsive and would recommend heartily.

The job was completed satisfactorily from a quality and pricing standpoint. However, it took many phone calls, emails, rescheduling, delays (one of them of my doing because of prior tree work that left a root sticking out) before the job completed. I fully understand unforeseen weather issues, and am always open to rescheduling with enough notice. The full weight of my frustration stems from very poor fulfillment on his commitment. Three times i stayed home, cancelled work meetings, apologized to my management to work remotely, expecting Daryl's team based on specific days he himself had offered and committed to (fully accounting for, and around rainy days, which again i understood and accepted...), three times he was a no-show, again w/o notice (email or phone call). I wish i could take the same liberties with my own employer...

I have been using Daryl and his crew for several years now and am always happy with their work and their pricing is most fare.

I contacted Madden Landscape & Lawn Care regarding a quote for lawn care, brush removal and weekly mowing and after a 1.5 weeks never received a call back. Very unprofessional to not receive a call-back even if the company was busy or didn't want to my job due to size.

Work done met or exceeded expectation

Daryl and his crew arrived early on the morning requested. They hand weeded each of the flower beds and applied a solid layer of mulch. Great detail was used to spread the much evenly under the plants without damaging the young plants. Additionally the new beds that were created were curved artistically onto the existing ones. The edging given to the beds is the most impressive I have ever seen. I could not be happier with the work and will recommend them to all my neighbors and friends.

I was very impressed with the fact that Daryl came over to check out the place about an hour or two after my initial call. He was very professional and helpful while at my home. However, I was told I would receive an estimate within the next day or so, and here we are weeks later, and I haven't heard from him again. I'm not really sure how a business can operate and expect to secure new clients when follow up is so poor. Perhaps it was an oversight rather than a typical practice, but it was enough that I did not care to call him to find out.

i called for an estimate for a winter clean up. i was told he was busy and would be out the next day. he asked for my email address and said that is how he sends estimates. i never rec'd an estimate or heard from him again.

Overall Madden landscape did an outstanding job. I inquired about his services on a Sunday, he responded within hours and came out the next day (Monday) to be able to give me an estimate. With the estimate he also gave me suggestions including cost on additional improvements. I stressed that I wanted the work done before April 2nd and to my surprise they were able to come out on March 24th. What I liked about Madden, over other estimates, was that he called to discuss what I wanted done and went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied.

Madden did a great job at a reasonable price. They also did a great job on some yard clean up and brush removal.

Daryl and his crew were very busy and made time to fit me into their schedule (despite my late request for their services). Employees were professional and polite, always willing to answer questions or call Daryl when they were unable to answer. They worked quickly and efficiently. Daryl Madden definitely has his pulse on the workings of his business. He has always responded to my inquiries and concerns and has taken the time to sit down and present on paper designs & recommendations. Estimates are discussed and then always submitted to me electronically and/or on paper. Estimates are generally within $10.00 of actual cost...no surprises. I will continue to employ the services of MaddenLandscape and highly recommend them.

It went really well. Daryl was awesome. I can't wait to see things bloom in the Spring. My yard was a wreck after being ignored for a couple years. It is back in style.
