John and his team are very polite and efficient; working with Platinum Paperhanging was a wonderful experience from the time John came out to give a quote for the project. We had a nursery done with full wallpapering as well as new paint on trim and it is our new favorite room in the house. The work is meticulous and it looks absolutely wonderful! Would absolutely work with Platinum Paperhanging for projects in the future, and feel lucky to have found John & his team.

Wow! John is absolutely amazing! If you need wallpapering and painting done, don't even think about calling anyone else. John is a pro. And, Chrissy does a fantastic job of communication. We're thrilled with the work. We will definitely hire Platinum Paperhanging again.

Installed 500 sq ft of wallpaper. Installation was amazing. They did great work. Arrived on time, very clean with their own drop clothes, vacuumed. They did very precise, careful and thorough work. Sanded and spackled walls beforehand. Could not recommed more.

Perfect! On time(5 minutes early), clean and finished a half hour early so he gave us $50 off. He also had me run to Home Depot for an out let cover/powerbox cover that we were not using, so he could wallpaper the cover and make everything look uniform. He even finished without using all of the rolls so we got to return so rolls too. I highly recommend.

John and Matt arrived at the job site early. The company is responsive to communication/emails. Scheduling was prompt, as was an estimate. We contacted Platinum to do wallpapering for a wall that had wood paneling. They provided us with an estimate for $500, which we agreed on. We sent pictures to John/Chrissy to let them know what the walls looked like. And, they agreed to take the job. We had let them know that we did not want the wallpaper painted based on the reviews of other buyers who had purchased the same wallpaper (and indicated that the quality and color of the wallpaper worked well without needing paint). They pushed for it, but was fine with it in the end. John and Matt came to the house. They first met with my husband. I arrived home shortly after (about 5 minutes). We discussed what needed to be done. The description of the job work request (as indicated on the invoice) included and QUOTE "All surfaces to be sanded, caulked, primed, spackled & glazed as needed." There were edges along the wall that needed to be spackled to make the edges even. When John saw this, he was not proactive in offering suggestions on how to address the issue and I felt, seemed to undermine my comments. I felt his responses were very terse, to the point of rudeness. He then asked about the spaces between the panels and how that should be addressed. I replied that it should be caulked as was done by the previous owners (or spackled), and was a bit surprised at his question because as a professional wallpaper hanger and given the fact that I had provided up-close pictures of the paneling, he would know how to best address the spacing. That was the reason we hired them. The spacing between the panels was something that he was already aware of through our correspondence. The straw that broke the camel's back was when he extended the same attitude in a conversation about areas where the wood panel wall met the ceiling and an adjacent wall. My understanding was that there are preparations that are included in hanging wall paper - hence their quote "All surfaces to be sanded, caulked, primed, spackled & glazed as needed" that was on the invoice estimate. He said, "All I do is wall paper." I then communicated to him that perhaps they were not the best fit for this job and that I felt he was being rude. He acknowledged that his comments were sarcastic, and something about knowing that this was going to happen right when he arrived at our house. Not sure what he meant by that or how he "knew." The room where we needed wallpaper to be hung was cold because our home has three levels of zone heating. We didn't use the upstairs level/room where the wallpaper needed to be hung and thus had only turned on the heating on the main floor. We did not realize that the room needed to be warmed up for wallpaper. Had we known or was informed beforehand, we would have made sure to turn on the heating. When John mentioned that it needed to be warm, we promptly turned on the heating. All in all, what turned us off was his lack of professionalism in his terse comments. I am glad to have made the gut decision to NOT go forward with Platinum. It didn't seem to be a fit for either side.

Excellent, John was prompt. very neat, and the wallpaper looks amazing. He removed the old paper, prepped the walls and installed the new imported hand painted wallpaper in 2 days. Visitors think I had my hall walls professionally painted- it is beautiful. John & Chrissy were great to work with, very professional and responsive.

John Clift was excellent. The paint touch up around the window blended perfectly with the paint that was already on the wall. His wallpapering skills are exquisite!! In addition to papering the walls and matching the pattern precisely, he placed the pattern in exactly the right place on the wall. Then, he did an excellent job of covering the wall outlet covers. Most amazingly, he papered the heat vent cover so that every little strip of metal fin was covered precisely to blend in with the surrounding wallpaper, while not covering the vent openings in the cover. It blends right into the surrounding wall. I provided the wallpaper so the price includes only paint and labor. I plan to call on him again when I Need another paint or wallpaper job.

The plaster and lathe walls and ceiling of my c.1845 house could not have been in worse condition. The result, however, is amazing. After a convenient and prompt estimate of the job, we scheduled the project. John worked diligently and masterfully to create the astonishing transformation. He was consistently on time, courteous and always left the jobsite very clean. The extra work he did just because he is an exceptional professional added significant value to an already high quality job. The entire process was extremely pleasant. Chrissy, too, was a delight, working to suit my schedule, sending samples, answering questions and keeping me continually updated. The following month (March) I engaged John to do a smaller, but almost as challenging, project. Perfection. I would unconditionally recommend Platinum Paperhanging.

Great!! They arrived on time (during morning rush hour traffic) and got right to work. Took 2 installers about 3 hours to complete the job. Extremely happy with the results! Would use this company again for sure. Very professional and friendly. All correspondence leading up to job was quick and professional- some of my emails were answered at 10 pm, exceeds expectations. Highly recommend!

John and his associates (Chrissy for online questions and scheduling, Matt with the actual paperhanging) were very professional and provided a fantastic finished product. I contacted them for an estimate and heard back the next morning. Chrissy was especially helpful on the back-end of the process, always getting back to my emails promptly. When I realized I needed more wallpaper, they were very flexible in keeping the originally scheduled date after the rest of the product arrived. John and Matt arrived within the provided time frame and completed the job in about 2.5 hours (they had allotted 3-4 just in case). They were nice to be around, complimented my choice of wallpaper, and even answered a couple questions I had about the trim. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in their service area and beyond. Forgot to mention that their website was easy to navigate and had fantastic photos in a gallery of their work.

John & Brian did amazing job. It's so hard today to find skilled tradesmen. Platinum is beyond skilled, they have clearly mastered their trade & all aspects leading up to my job. Their estimate was a little higher than others i received, but i have no regrets.

His wife?s phone-call etiquette was delightful and helpful. John exceeded my expectations. He is professional, efficient, and trustworthy. He left the house immaculate. The work was done well.

Once again John goes above and beyond. Not only did he manage to fit me in at last minute, he and Brian seamlessly merged the new into the existing. The place looks great and ready for Christmas now. Platinum Paperhanging is the first and last choice for me and we will probably see a lot of each other as my 3 dogs do like to spread their love in the form of scratching, rubbing on walls and general mayhem all over our house!

Prompt response after initial contact - prompt quote given. Our goal was to have house painted for a graduation, so John did us a favor and tried to schedule us for late April/beginning May, which he did, at our request. Very accommodating, responsive and straighforward. He started with Prep and then worked his way from the further point (kitchen) to the living room and upstairs hall. It took 7 days, pretty much what he had estimated and because we all had work/school during the day it was not too much of an inconvenience to us. Now that the job is done, we are so happy to have a new living space and can't wait to spruce it up with some new furniture and curtains. So happy that the house will look great for our summer events. Thanks again to Platinum for being so great to work with!

He is terrific. He's a little pricey. I talked to his wife. His wife is just wonderful on the phone. She made me feel like the fact that I live in Chester doesn't matter. She'll still talk to me. A lot of people are turned off by the fact that I live in Chester. She was so helpful. She kept calling me back and making sure that everything was set up. I said to her, "Is there any chance that he could install a border for me at the ceiling because I had my walls painted?" It was a small job and I'm thinking he don't want to be bothered with it but I said, "Is there any chance I could get this done before the holidays?" and she said, "I don't know why not." She said, "I'll call him and we'll talk about it" and sure enough, she called me back and she said he'll have this day and it was fine. He was immaculate. There's nothing out of place in his work when he was done. He was really good. He was a very positive and hardworking young man. I was very pleased and impressed with him.

. I called John for an estimate. He came to my house did the measurements, gave me a price, kept in touch via e-mail. After getting another estimate and doing a comparison as to who seemed to be more knowledgable about paperhanging. I hired him for the job. He did a beautiful and professional work, flawless. I would not use anyone else. I found out paperhanging is a dying art you cannot find a store that just sells paper anymore. A great tip from John that I found true and saved money. Different books at the paint stores have different prices for the same paper.

John of Platinum Paperhanging came up as "number 1" on the List and he responded immediately to my call for a bid. He arrived on time, was honest and open about the work to be performed and the timeframe, and submitted a bid within a day. Based on subsequent bids, we learned John was very much "in the ballpark". However, we reluctantly did not go with John. Another bid was from another highly-rated Angie's List contractor who had done work for a neighbor, and his bid was slightly better (I believe since this contractor lived closer than John did to us.) I hope our choice was correct, because John seemed to be a real find.
