It went well, the price was good and the work was done well. My only complaint is that we got only 24 hours notice notice as to when they were going to do the work but we like the work they did.

We received a prompt response from John Scott and the estimate was done within a few days. The price was competitive with other estimates. John worked with us on timing the driveway work with other repairs going on at the same time and when the driveway work was done, John and his crew went out of their way to make sure that the other recently renovated sections of our property were protected. Work was done in a day and it looks great.

It was an asphalt driveway. They did an excellent job. They came out on time. They were very pleasant. They gave us a good price.

There were some weather related delays on the project, but the quality of work was incredible. I had to have some hedges and a larger evergreen shrub removed before the real work could even begin. John Scott, and his crew of 6 or 7 arrived exactly as scheduled. They showed up with enough equipment ( all clean and very professional looking) to ensure that the job was going to be done right. The hedges and shrubs were removed in no time, followed by the lawn and excavation to the appropriate depth. This turned out to be a challenge, as the clay sub-soil was still more than damp from almost a 8-10 days of rain during this month. John and his crew went way beyond what they had to do to insure that the driveway turned out perfect. John and his crew were very attentive to insure the cleanliness of the work area (The street) so that nothing could be tracked to someones Else's property. Over 50 tons of fill, geo-cloth and 2 layers of asphalt. This was a perfect job well done. Johh Scott was there during the whole process to insure that the job was done right. This job was completed on one day. I was most impressed. I would strongly recommend J. Scott Paving to anyone looking for the best. The workmanship and attention to detail is something rare these days. J. Scott Paving has both.....Excellent

John came out twice (because I changed my mind) and patiently gave me two estimates. Very responsive to phone calls. Showed up on schedule, finished the job early exactly to spec and price. His price was significantly lower than other estimates because he convinced me that we didn't have to remove all the previous stone--which others said we needed to do. He went out of his way to make sure I knew what to expect because, as he kept repeating, he didn't want any surprises for him or me.

I originally found this company through Angie's List and chose them based on the recommendations of others there. The job was done in a timely and professional manner. Everything was satisfactory. I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in driveway replacement and repair. Look no further than J Scott Paving!

They came out immediately after I called them and gave me an estimate which was pretty much less than the lowest estimate that I had received before. They were here when they were supposed to. We had to reschedule once. They had everything they needed; all the equipment and all the men. They did the job in about 4 ? 5 hours and they left. I would use them in future if I had to.

They were excellent. They were efficient and they were on time. They did a fantastic job.

John was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish! Besides John, I had two other estimates that were rather close to his. But, thanks to John's manner, professionalism, and excellent communication skills, decided he was the man for the job. For instance, before signing the contract, I had a few questions about how I wanted the finished job to look and the price to do a couple of extra things. I called John on his cell and he was at my house within 15 minutes! He was patient, fully answered all my questions, and assured me he would do just what I wanted and he did exactly that! When I got home from work today, the driveway was completely finished. I just stood there looking at the work and admiring it. I have never seen such neat, thorough work! John and his brother George came to the house to see if I arrived home yet. He could tell from my smile how happy I was! He said that no matter what, if anything ever went wrong, just give him a call and he would make it right.. He not only takes great pride in his work but I know he'll stand behind it to keep me as a satisfied customer. The whole process from the estimate to the final paving was very professional. Everything was done to my complete satisfaction. They checked with me when they had questions about what I wanted and George even stopped back to check on the job and give me a pamphlet on how to maintain the new driveway.

I found him on Angie's List with high marks. I called up for 4 estimates. Three of the people did a drive by estimate. He stopped by and rang the doorbell, brought me out back, told me what he was going to do and had photographs of other jobs he had done. I appreciated that little extra and he was a nice guy. He was here when he said he would be, did the job and cleaned everything up.

Our overall experience was great. John Scott personally showed up provided an estimate while we waited, promptly responded to our follow-up questions on the estimate, showed up when he said he would and finished on time and on budget. John was always responsive and professional and the work was good. Getting other paving companies to call us back, show up and provide written estimates was like pulling teeth, we did get 2 other prices and J Scott was by far the best. Deserved or not, the paving business has a bit of a shady reputation, J Scott Paving has clearly destroyed that perception for us.

The workers were very professional and courteous. I had several neighbors comment on the good work and the courtesy of the workers. I was very happy with their work. They wound up having to excavate more of the original driveway than originally thought but they did not raise the price.

Excellent job. Mr Scott kept in touch with us as to when he would be here and how he was going to do the job. The crew came as scheduled. They tore up the old drive way, widened it and put new stone down on a Friday. Mr Scott said they would be back the following Tuesday to lay the blacktop and they were. The driveway looks great with no imperfections and the water flows correctly. The crew was very clean and courteous they did a great job and I would highly recommend J Scott Paving.

At the time of the estimate George Scott gave a very detailed description of exactly what he would do. He made sure that it was what we wanted. The day prior to installation, George came to the house and carefully laid out the new boundary line for the driveway. He took the time to make sure the curved boundary looked just right. The next day the workers arrived promptly and began their prep work. The asphalt was laid smoothly an evenly along the driveway with clean edges. George was there to supervise the operation. At the end our property was left neat and clean. The entire job was done very professionally from start to finish. I highly recommend Scott Paving.

I left a message on Sunday evening and received a return call on Monday afternoon. After hearing the scope of the job, he suggested I contact another company. This company focuses on new installation or replacement and they were too booked to get to me in a timely manner.

Overall the job went very well but there are a few things to keep in mind when having a driveway installed. 1.) In order to maintain the current width of your driveway you must have them excavate 6" on either side. This is because of the driveway construction which includes the addition of a crushed stone base and two layers of asphalt. If you don't you will lose 4" or so off either side of the driveway which does not sound like a lot but adds up. 2.) ensure that a 2" binder base course is called out in the contract. Overall all of us were very satisfied with the driveways. They look very good, the crews worked efficiently and the job went smoothly.

George Scott was a joy to work with. He listened to our concerns, prepared a detailed contract and WALKED THE TALK. His equipment was excellent & his workers were polite and hard working. No smoke breaks!! They were on-time and on-the-job! George was personally on-the-job site ensuring over sight start to finish & quality work - we value that! We have the most beautiful asphalt driveway on the block. Excellent clean-up, no trash left behind. Last but not least, while not the only factor we considered important, George Scott had the best price.
