He showed up when he said he would, he explained the plumbing system in my old house and waited until he inspected everything to tell me his diagnosis. He has years of experience and knowledge of old Pittsburgh houses. He was able to provide me with a few inexpensive ideas to improve the plumbing on the toilet, some maintenance ideas on how to degrease my drains and suggested a good long-term solution, which was to utilize a hydro-jetter, to break up the sludge attached to the walls of my cast iron drain. He noticed that one small part needed replaced when taking apart the plumbing under the sink and gave me the option to have him replace it right away, which I was all for. Great guy.

Doug came out initially to give an estimate for the work. He spent an hour of his time offering advice on how to approach the soil stack relocation. It was difficult, as there weren't many options where they could go while still maintaining proper drainage slope, and satisfying building codes. He talked about several options, and even poked his head into the basement ceiling to see what would work best for our situation. We had 2 other estimates, but ended up hiring Doug. We felt he was the most knowledgeable - and his price was very fair. Doug spent about 6 hours doing the stack relocation and gas line. He provided all tools and materials, and left the kitchen clean and tidy. We are very satisfied with his work, knowledge, and professionalism. I would use Doug again, and would recommend him to others.

Doug is a conscientious and meticulous plumber. He looked at our new vanities and discussed exactly what types of fittings he planned to use and how he would approach the connections with the old plumbing. He has provided complete information for every job we discussed with him. His estimates are fair and accurate. He arrives as scheduled, is fully prepared and always has a clear plan. All the plumbing work he has completed for us has been excellent, both in terms of function and appearance. And there is never any mess to clean up when he leaves.
