Chris promptly called me back. He had me do a couple of things while we were on the phone to make certain a breaker wasn’t tripped. After it was determined a breaker was not the problem, Chris made an appointment for two days later. This was not a problem that needed immediate attention. I was pleased that I did not have to wait long for an appointment. Chris arrived on time and quickly determined the problems. He was able to fix both the lamppost and porch light by taking apart both fixtures and fixing the problems. He even went so far as to go to Lowe’s to get the parts that he needed. He quickly returned and fixed both lights! I truly believe that most other electricians would have told me that both lights needed to be replaced. Instead, Chris took the time to take the lights apart and put them back together after fixing both lights. He saved us so much money, by being willing to fix our lights. Having us buy new lights, would have meant a second service call to put the new lights in. I would definitely recommend Chris and Rodden Electric! I will call him again when a problem arises. I was extremely pleased with the service.

The power went out to part of our house on the coldest day of the year. Mr. Rodden responded in a timely manner and gave us a complete explanation of what work would need to be done. He is a very genuine person and easy to talk to. He gave us an honest, up front estimate of the cost to repair the issue and did not pressure us for the sale. The day the work was completed Mr. Rodden and his apprentice were on time and completed the work faster than we anticipated. We would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an electrician.

Chris arrived promptly to give an estimate on installing a new 220V line so we could install a pool heater for our above ground pool. Upon inspection, he noticed that the current 110V line going out to the pool was feeder line that was only buried a few inches under the ground and was not encased in any kind of conduit which meant that we would need to trench out to the pool and have pvc conduit installed. Despite this, Chris gave me a very fair estimate and I was eager to get the work done. Chris and his son arrived on the scheduled date and completed the work in about 6 hours. It was a little challenging to schedule the work because it depended on the weather and it was a very busy time of year for them. I did have to follow-up several times before they came out to do the work and it ended up being several weeks later than estimated, but it was worth it and I have enjoyed a warm pool all summer!

Having bought a 115 year old house, I felt the first floor was too dark even during the day. As soon as I moved in, I contacted Chris to install 10 can lights in the living room ceiling and another one in the hallway. Chris and his son came and did a great job. both were nice and explains very well. I would not hesitate to call him again for electric issues.

We were so impressed at how quickly he responded. We may need a new breaker box if the 25 year old part is not made any more. He will also install a surge protector for our house and fix a switch on our pool equipment. We highly recommend this company.

It was a pleasure working with Chris, Chris Jr, and Mike. All three were punctual, polite, efficient and extremely knowledgable. They worked well as a team and completed all work quoted. Should I have attempted to complete the work on my own, it would have taken weeks. It was the right decision to contract Chris and his crew. Chris was extremely professional in all aspects of this project. He was prepared on the initial walk through, quick on the return of his pricing, and in general very pleasant to work with. His son Chris is also involved in the business and will carry on the family business well. They did the rough in and completion wiring for a large basement space (bed, bath, rec area, bar area, and office). I had designed some special LED features (I provided the LED lighting, drivers, and specialty switches) and Chris was very willing to understand my vision and help me reach my overall goals. He and his team (Chris, Chris Jr, and another guy named Mike) work very efficiently, are very courteous, and take a great deal of pride in their workmanship. Small details that only an OCD homeowner would even notice (such as all of the screws on the faceplates being vertical) were all taken care of, and I'm sure there is a lot of attention to detail buried in the walls. Highly recommended and will use again for any other electrical needs.

The quote was competitive and it seemed I was impressed with Chris, came out himself, and asked the questions and he was thorough and if I hadn't been using the Angie's List deal I probably would have gone with them. I was pleased with him. He was on time. He also gave PDF of the quote. I would use them again.

Chris knows his craft very well. Had a problem with lights dimming in the master bath, Chris was able to quickly diagnose and correct the problem. He also checked the associated plug causing the problem and made a few repairs.

Chris and Christopher Rodden were a pleasure to work with. They scheduled their work around our needs, with early work related to the underground and electric service, later rewiring and several phases of light fixture installation. All the work was done professionally and to our complete satisfaction. This is the second house we have used Rodden.

Originally called about circuit breaker. After arriving at scheduled time, he also repaired 2 fluorescent light fixtures. Ifound him personable, neat, and professional. I will definitely use him again.

Did exactly what he said he was going to do, was on time and kept me informed as to when he would be able to get the work done, I really liked that. I new he didn't forget about us, which says a lot about him. We also showed him some more work in our home that needs to be done when he has time. Will recommend him if anyone needs a certified Electrician.

He goes over exactly what he is going to do, what the cost and follows through with that. He does good work in a reasonable amount of time, with a reasonable cost. He communicates clearly.

Chris, his son, and his nephew performed a total rewiring of our home in preparation for solar panel installation and insulation projects. When he performed the estimate, Chris was upfront about the length of time it would take to complete the project. He wasn't deterred by having to rewire a 90-year-old house with its original knob and tube wiring. His estimate was comparable to or lower than the other estimates I received. Chris and/or his team arrived around 8 each morning, working steadily every consecutive weekday for three and a half weeks, xcept once or twice when they needed to install a service for another customer. They always contacted me ahead of time about any schedule changes. I appreciated having a small, local, family business do this work. Despite the frustrations involved in drilling through walls - including concrete block - in an old home and the annoyance of accumulated coal dust, they always had a good attitude. They were happy to answer my questions and explain their work. After completing the project they returned once more to correct a switch and patch some Sheetrock. Chris' invoices were easy to understand and arrived promptly via email. The estimate total did not change. The project passed city inspection and Chris mailed me a copy of the inspection certificate. We haven't encountered a single issue with our electric since and we enjoy being able to run several appliances at once thanks to our new panel.

Chris came same day I called - even though it was the coldest day of the year. He diagnosed the problem & removed & replaced the bad plug with a new one. He was courteous, neat & efficient. I will definitely use them again.

Each time I contact Chris Rodden he is responsive and follows up to schedule the work within a reasonable time frame. The work is performed quickly and always neat and well planned. He is not intimidated by old homes and the complex problems they can present. Great problem solver.

Excellent. Initially Chris came and fixed a switch that had short circuited, almost causing a fire. He then provided us with an estimate to update the circuits in our kitchen. We could not use our microwave and our toaster at the same time without throwing a breaker. Chris and his son Chris ran new circuits for our kitchen, installed a ceiling fan and box and rewired a three way switch. They placed a cloth over our hardwood floor to protect it from the snow on their boots. They vacuumed and removed any debris from their work. Chris and Chris were on time, honest, hard working and neat. We plan to hire them again.

He did a great job. He had an assistant and they were both very pleasant and friendly. He gave me a quote over the phone and he had to do a little more when he came, but he honored his original price. I was even prepared to pay more money. I was very pleased. I will definitely call him again.
