"This is completely inaccurate, we spent about an hour and a half opening up some walls and ceilings as exploratory work (which we offered to close up but they wanted to work with others) for some work [member name removed] were considering doing and they told us they decided to work with someone else. WE DID ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER WORK, nor did they want us to. As a matter of fact they offered to pay us for the exploratory work but in the end we decided not to charge them as it was only an hour or two. I can't even conceive of how they think we did anything for them, unless they have us confused with someone else. We did do some design work but they decided to work with someone else and do something different. I would request that the homeowner please remove this review, we did not work with them on any remodeling of their house."
"We understand that the customer is frustrated, but this is fairly far from the truth. The travertine has a high degree of variation, which we made the customer understand, this review is not generated by the customer but by the customers' daughter. We segregated the similar shaded tiles to one area to keep the "flow" of the tile. Customer was not happy, so we replaced the tile at no charge even though it was within the normal color variation of travertine to keep the customer happy. One of the replaced tile had a black magic marker on the back which came through the tile upon installation. We didn't realize (and the importer didn't realize it could not be used) that this tile was in there until we replaced it, again at no charge and found the black magic marker on the bottom of the tile. Customers' daughter made it sound like we knew about this, we absolutely did not. Does it make sense that knowing that this was on there we would have replaced it knowing a problem would occur? The rest of the delays to the kitchen area are caused by a redesign by the customer to an area of the kitchen. We reviewed the design extensively and repeatedly with the customer as it was his design and pointed out the shortcomings to the design but the customer insisted it would be fine. He even kept a book on all the drawings and reviews we did with them and the drawings and comments show this. Upon installation the customer decided to change the design and we are waiting for the parts. Again please be aware this review is not generated by the customer but by their daughter who does not have knowledge of any of our conversations or design reviews. The issues with the cabinetry are created by variations in how the wood accepted the stain. The variation in the stain color was within acceptable limits for the manufacturer but because we have expertise in shading finished cabinetry we took care of their concerns as a show of good faith. As far as the cleanliness, the worst of it was created by the tear out and replacement of the travertine and to try to reduce the problems we were out there full time cleaning up each time the tile installer walked across the floor. We understand that the customer is frustrated but we explained repeatedly both the issue of the variation of the travertine and the design issues prior to the customer signing a contract with us. We have corrected every concern (whether it was explained or not) and to try to save our relationship with the customer are doing the changes to the design at our cost with no overhead or profit, even though these were covered extensively with the customer. We strongly feel that this review is completely generated by frustration by the customers' daughter who is not aware of all of the communications and design reviews done with the customer and is not a fair and equitable picture of the events. We hope our comments provide some necessary truths for the readers to this unfortunate review. We have and will continue to maintain our continued emphasis on customer satisfaction."
