Critter Control of Philadelphia/Delaware Valley

This company is a scam! They also go by the name of Critter Control here in Philadelphia, PA. This GA address was on our contract. On December 8 2023, Critter Control sent a sales guy named Brian Wistner. He was here for 40 minuets assessing the situation and said he would get a quote to us. Over a month went by with us trying to reach him. No response. Finally I called to speak with a exec from the company and someone named Sophia Evans, the Regional Customer Relations Lead for the North East spoke with me. Sophia Evans finally got Brian Wistner to send an estimate. He wanted close to $3000 to install a few cages around openings in the property where the raccoons were likely entering. It was ridiculously high, but we desperately needed to get them out, and were promised they would help. They asked for a $1700. deposit which we paid. Then Brian disappeared again! After 2 months of no response, I finally called Sophia Evans again and she got Brian to finally send someone. They installed one tiny cage, for a small squirrel, that was it! There was a major hole which Brian said at the estimate was likely the main entry for the raccoons, and was most important to cover. This was never done. Then Brian then told us he wanted the electric company to cover the main service wires, running next to the house. The wires aren't close enough to the house to interfere with what they needed to do, but we complied. That took a couple of more weeks to have done. This was in March. Again Brian has disappeared! Three weeks ago I called and spoke with Sophia Evans again. She said she call him and get back to me. After speaking with her, Brian Wistner called back and said someone would come out the following week. Three week later and we have not heard from Brian or Sophia. We want a full refund from this fraudulent company and Brian Wistner and Sophia should be fired! We hope we can avoid suing Critter Control in small claims court, but they are leaving us no choice.

Overall, a great experience. The work was explained well, and executed professionally. Would definitely rehire.

We will see. Right now the "one way" exit trap has been set for 12 days. The entry hole on the exterior soffit will be closed permanently with a heavy duty wire mesh

Very disappointed in their customer service. We had them come out in 4/2018 to install something to help with our woodpecker problem on our chimney. Less than 1 year later the device fell off our roof and they refused to come out and replace it without charging us another hefty service fee. The device is cheaply made for outdoor conditions and should be able to last in the elements more than a year without having to replace it and charge customers service fees for coming out again. despite calling them repeatedly asking them to replace the poorly made clip, they refused without charging us a service fee.

inspected outside of home and the attic, and provided list of proposed actions and repairs, left us with live traps to catch the squirrels. Very thorough and competent, would definitely use again!

From the first interaction to scheduling through to the execution of the work was very professional and a relief! I tried a few other companies that either did not return calls and/or did not show up. Matt was our wildlife specialist and he was punctional, profession and took the time to thoroughly walk me through the issues and resolution options. Would highly recommend them and have rated them accordingly.

The company was very professional. They came for an initial quote within 48 hours after I called the company. As part of the service, they baited traps and came back every day for about 5 days until needed. The service was a bit on the high side. However, I believe the adage "you get what you pay for" applies. It was money well spent to know that they would remove the squirrels and come back every day for several days to check and re-bait the traps. I also paid for an extra service to have them plaster the hole to the inside of the house. I would use the company again if I needed to and would recommend them to any homeowner or business I know of who needs wild animals removed from a building.

Critter Control is amazing! We were having squirrels get inside our walls through the roof (two stories up). My initial phone call with Brad was pleasant as he informed me of all the reasons why squirrels could be getting inside our walls. Dave came out to set traps, returned promptly to clean out the traps, and patch up the bent soffit that was allowing the animals to get in. All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with the service and would absolutely recommend!

The guy Critter Control sent out was amazing. He took time to listen to my many hypotheses of what was in my ceiling and how it got there. He took a look at the roof (which has many pitches and small cubbies) and talked to me after he surveyed it about what he thought might be going on. He came back the next day to patch any openings and set up a trap. After a week or so of checking the trap each morning, I finally spotted a gray squirrel (which was what he thought might the source of the noise in my ceiling). I texted him that morning and he came by during the day to remove the squirrel. While the service was a little bit more expensive than i had hoped it would be, I was so happy to no longer worry about the noise in the ceiling and felt the rep could not have been more qualified or professional. I would recommend them to anyone who needs animal removal services. Side Note - A coworker of mine coincidentally recently hired Critter Control for a raccoon problem and was also raving about the service & professionalism.

Critter control did an excellent job

It took several attempts before catching the raccoon, but they were thoughtful and methodical in using different techniques before finding the one that worked. They also sealed up all animal entryways into our attic when done.

This company is excellent and its employees are very knowledgeable, pleasant, and responsive. The work is timely, professional, and very fairly priced. Mia quickly responded to my initial call late Thursday afternoon. She fully understood what I needed and explained what would be done. She wrote the work request, emailed it to me for approval, and scheduled the work for Saturday. Patrick came to my house, as scheduled, and expertly handled this job. He has an excellent background and education in biology and is an outdoorsman. He identified the bird species, devised a clever way to safely place the ladder, relocated the birds, and sprayed the nest area for bird mites. He placed a temporary cover over the siding hole because the siding was already scheduled to be permanently repaired.

While he was professional, the price seemed very high. They charged $175 to place the trap and $90 to get rid of it. We will most likely look for a cheaper price. It doesn't seem like a fair price.

It worked out great. The fox family left it's den under our shed and hasn't returned.

It went well. They came when they said they would. They put up Mylar streamers as we had agreed.

The technician sealed the perimeter of the house from the exterior. It was a terrible, dirty and uncomfortable job - but he did it. Excellent job and very good results!

All went well. They showed up on time and within a day the pest was gone.
