The work was done thoroughly and on time.

The owner of 'Action' is a very nice guy, but the guys he sent out did not explain a whole lot. The work, once it was finished after 3 visits, was good work. I'm not sure if I needed 2 additional visits to finish everything. I think it would be easier if homeowner was present, as none of the times/days worked for 'Action' where I could be present.

They came to do a check-up on the new garage door motor my Dad and I had attempted to install. My Dad and I had problems with getting it to run properly. Two guys from Action Door came and not only did an assessment but attempted to re-wire the entire system to see if that was the problem. Unfortunately, it was the motor itself that was the problem, but they were able to come install a new motor the very next morning. I now have the nicest, quietest garage door motor that I've ever had! Very personalized service, very friendly, very professional and efficient.

The work was performed timely and the garage door works fine now. The person who came to do the work was very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend this company.

Dean and Jarrett were a pleasure to do business with. They guys were punctual and always called to give an exact arrival time. They were professional, friendly, courteous, the work was done correctly and the cost was reasonable. I didn't hesitate to give them a genuine "A" in all categories and will happily recommend them to others.

Well, at first I was impressed by how quickly Dean responded back after I bought the deal. However, things just seemed to go downhill from there. We were supposed to have a walk through so he could evaluate what we needed to be done. There was at least 2-3 times where he said he was going to come, but when I called to see where he was, he had to reschedule (after both my husband and I sat at home waiting for him to show up. Our walk through was fine, however he never sent the estimate for the custom shelves for the closet. It took them about 3 weeks to call back and schedule the work to be done. Was set up for one Thursday morning around 0800-0830. My husband was at home for the day and didn't hear anything from them. Finally he called and they said he was running late because he had to pick up some materials. The guy didn't arrive until around 10, but had no idea of the details of the job because he hadn't been filled in-meaning he had to take precious time to cut the shelves, which should've already been done. Therefore, we didn't get all of the items off our checklist. I truly appreciated the Angie's List deal, but I don't believe I would ever use this company again.

They sent in a whole crew and got it all completed in one day, two days before we had big company come. The workmanship quality, fit and finish are very good. Everything is fitted nicely and fastened very securely. Visitors that had seen the old bathroom disaster were duly impressed. They were able to extract the cabinetry intact from where the new dishwasher had to go, which we could then utilize in another place in our storage challenged kitchen. And I didn't have to do any of it. Also hauled away the sink, vanity, dishwasher and disposal packaging for us. Ecstatic wife. Big win.

There were some glitches on my part. I didn't realize that the fans required single pole switches. The timer I purchased was a single pole and wouldn't work with the existing configuration. While they started working I ran back to Home Depot and returned the timer and bought the new switches that I needed. Also, the ceiling fan in my son's room required a 60 watt light bulb which I purchased during my return trip. The Home Depot lighting expert directed me to Schadler electric for the correct timer. I returned home with the correct parts and they finished all the jobs as promised and did not charge me anything for the extra time. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that gesture....so seldom found in today's world. I walked through my house and checked each item to make sure it was done correctly before they left my home. Everything checked out perfectly. Honestly, I have been wanting to get these things done for years. My beloved husband passed away 18 months ago and some of these items have needed attention since before he was alive. It is such a good feeling to find a trustworthy contractor especially when they have access to your home's interior. Run to, do not walk to, the next special offer you see on Angie's list offered by Action Door and Property Services. I am fairly certain that you will have that "best present I ever received" feeling like me.

The guy that told me what he was going to do, sends two guys out unsupervised. Now they're kids and it's cold, okay. Well it's not my fault it's cold. I paid them. I could do the job but I wanted it done professionally. It's my front door. So I spent three hours and the part they were to fix is still messed up. They took my my Anderson door off ..... beautiful Anderson door. What they did was rough housed the frame off and twisted it. So you know what the kid said? "It is what it is." I said what do you mean it is what it is? It's twisted and air is coming through where the inches are, so they must have rough housed it off and twisted. So I give this guy Dean a chance to come out and make it right. So he comes out and he doesn't even say he's sorry. He doesn't even admit it and he's looking right at it. If you're looking at the door, you should not be able to see the screws from the inside of the house, in the door frame! And when you close the door you shouldn't see anything! Well if you look, you could see the screws. They're twisted in it. He said, "oh no! I'll come out and I'll adjust it." I'm like there is no adjustment. You have to take it off and untwisted it. So he was going to make it right. My wife cut her fingers on the trim because when they put it back on they used this little brag gun and the brag gun does not have any nails. They didn't counter sink it. So she rubbed her hand across it and it cut her hand. What they did instead.... I know when you do a door you use a shin. You shove the shin in to do the adjustment. They didn't do it. They used a pry bar and damaged my drywall above the door. I had to have somebody come out and fix that. And they put a screw in the door frame without putting in a shin, so it buckled the whole door frame. I could see the stem sticking out I had to take that out. And they put a door sweeper on the bottom of the door and they made it too long and it was making this hell of a noise! And he goes, "oh it will wear itself in. " I looked in the front door I could see my floor boards sticking out. First of all, he never followed up with the phone call and he's trying to tell me, "well I can't call everybody back again." I said well if it was my business, I would make sure I did. If I had two kids come out unsupervised I would do it. When he came out here and he wouldn't admit that they twisted the door or apologize, that's when I felt I don't even want him back. The guy who installed my front door, he was a professional. He charged me a hundred dollars to put the door on and this guy charged me five hundred dollars to destroy it. I had to go around and counter sink the nails. I had to do all this corking. He didn't adjust my storm door. He put screws back in it that weren't what he took out. He put screws in that you would find in your door latch. Of course that wasn't going to work. I spent three hours making it right so it wouldn't leak. I had to go out and buy stuff. It was shoddy for him to not even apologize. He made a big mistake. When they left, I couldn't even close it without complete prejudice. Had I not been here, they would have walked away without adjusting it.

They came while they were in the area. I described what I needed done. I wanted it done before Thanksgiving. He said he could come the following week around the 17th-18th. He said he was going to come out Thursday or Friday. He was going to call and never did. He was unreliable so I would never use him or recommend him to anyone. Seems like he doesn't want to do small jobs.

Very poor workmanship ! Dean the owner said he would make it perfect ! He sent out 2 very young inexperienced boys to do the job. I'll have to spend money and several hours to fix the leaks and make it look professional . Dean never followed up to check on the work .

It went very well, we like them a lot. We're waiting for him to come back and do another project now. We were very satisfied. They were very friendly and I was very comfortable with having them in our house. Very thoughtful.

Excellent job, Accomplished work in the 3 hour time allowance. Professionally done, reinstalled trim around the door so I didn't need to use the new replacement trim.

Great! As soon as contacted Action Door, they set up an appointment. They arrived on time, assessed the time and cost and arranged a time to start. They arrived on the right date and time, did the work efficiently. We were very happy with the results! They were friendly and professional at all times. They even realigned a kitchen cabinet door (that we could not fix) at no extra cost! We would definitely call them again.

Excellent...Dean and Jarrod discovered I had water coming in through my window because the seal was broken. He replaced the drywall and window sill and sealed the window both inside and out. He also replaced the insulation behind the drywall. Dean was prompt, explained exactly what would be done and when I returned home, my dining area felt like it had been housecleaned. They did and excellent job cleaning up all the dirt!!!

Everything was well done and debris was cleared away.

Dean and his helper did the two jobs in one "two-hour special" we purchased on Angie's List. They stopped in beforehand, so they could assess the job and know how they were going to do the work once they arrived. They were professional in every respect, were friendly and appeared to thoroughly enjoy their work. The new air-conditioner wasn't nearly as large as the existing hole in the exterior wall that housed the old unit, so they needed to fill it in to make a snug fit for the new unit. We are quite pleased with their job. Actually they centered the unit and put molding around it, so you don't even realize the new unit is 5" shorter than the old one. The only regret we have at all with the job is that we had to get rid of the old air-conditioner. It was put in in 1986 and has worked very well all these years. In fact, it operated more quietly than the new unit. Even though we carefully read all reviews we could find, and purchased the top-rated wall mounted air-conditioner, we realize that this new unit will certainly not last 30 years; in fact, most likely, we will be having to replace it in more like five years. However, we purchased the unit on our own from a reputable appliance dealer; Action Door & Property Services was merely hired to fit the unit into the existing hole in the wall.

As is often the case, unforeseen problems had to be addressed in order to complete both of the larger jobs on my list.: the garage door replacement and related structural improvements, and the electrical troubleshooting around an outdoor inground pool. "The "Action" team was up to the task in every way, but especially when unknown complications arose that required a range of skills that went far beyond the job's original requirements. They also did the little things well, .things.like showing up when they said they would show up, returning phone calls, sticking to schedules, and of course, delivering quality work and using quality parts. I feel fortunate to have chosen Dean and the "Action" team for this job, and have already reserved a spot on their future schedule for a number of additional jobs. First class work from a first class company, and person. If you want the job done right, look no further than Dean and his team.

Working with Dean is a sheer joy. He came twice to complete my project list and both times he was prompt, professional, competent and amazingly cheerful throughout. He cleaned up after himself and when he left the place looked nearly as clean as it was before he arrived. I have already asked him to quote another job for me and look forward to a long relationship with Dean and Action Door.
