Description of Work: An appointment was made with Davis Painting LLC to receive an estimate to paint my house. It was scheduled for 3:00pm March 3, 2017. At 2:13pm on this day I received a cell call from their company stating that they would need to reschedule the estimate because "we got kind of backed up today". I said okay. The date/time was rescheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 2017. I waited patiently for the appointment and they were a NO SHOW. There was not even a phone call. As many homeowners can attest, one of the worst things service people coming to your home do is fail to appear at scheduled appointment times. This is business 101. I am sorry that I decided to call this company. The ONLY reason I did so was because they were so highly rated on Angies's List.

Description of Work: The work (stripping, sanding and repainting of my wooden deck) seems to be good, but I will not know the quality until a year or more from now. Davis Painting was a little messy (not completely cleaning-up after themselves), and the price a little high compared to other offers I had received, and the company charged an additional $100 when I asked if they could paint using a second color, although I did not at all negotiate their original price for the job; I just accepted the price the owner quoted me, so I would have expected that they would have done that for the original price.

 + 1 moreI spoke to a neighbor telling her I intended to have my wooden deck cleaned and restained. She mentioned Colby Davis as a possible contractor because she had just met with him and was impressed. Our decks are side by side and I realized that it would be best to choose the same contractor and have the same stain applied. I called Mr.Davis and he stopped by the next day to do his estimate. Two weeks later, the work was done. The contractor was able to access my deck from the back, and I did not have to give him access to the home at all. It was not necessary for me to miss any work. I wish all my projects went this smoothly. Any time I had a question he responded promptly. He respected the landscape and did not cause any damage. The product used makes the deck look like new, splinter free and beautiful. I will ask him to meet with me about interior work. Very impressed and happy.

 + -1 moreColby was very prompt in his availability to come out and give us an estimate. He was very professional and sent an estimate via email immediately. After sending the deposit, the job was scheduled, however, some rain postponed our job until the following week. He arrived a little before his estimated start time, which is very much appreciated. And finished the job in one day, as he predicted. There was a very small amount of paint drips, but overall the job looked great!
Description of Work: Scraped and painted the exterior front & back doors, along with the trim. Also painted a covered porch/breezeway railings and ceiling. And two vent grates located along the top of the roof line.

 + -1 moreThey were slated to show up at 8am and arrived right on time. Laid down material so they wouldn't track any dirt/snow into the house going in and out, which was very professional and courteous of a company. Very impressed. They sanded my walls to make them smooth, which I didn't even ask them to do, and finished the paint job that day (early afternoon). They used this vacuum called a HEPA that vacuums all the dust from the sander WHILE it sands, which made my wife very happy with her allergies. It would've taken us days to do this job. Completely clean and done with great detail at a better price than anything I've seen shopping around for 2 months. Even the trim was taken care of with a brand new coat of white. Will use them again!
