My colossal Oak looms up into the skyline of Yost Avenue. It has always defined this neighborhood. Unfortunately it was also threatening to neighbors. Should I listen to attorneys, have it removed, avoid litigation and create yet another barren, sun-drenched block? H*** no!! With the help of BG and his crew, this huge landmark was tamed and it now looks more majestic than ever! Bill and his state of the art "spider" were able to access the entire tree and he knows exactly where to cut. I am very pleased! It is bursting into Spring greenery above our heads, replenishing some O2 and putting on a grand display! Drive up the hill and see for yourself! Thank you, Bill and his men!

It was no trouble easy and great pricing, went through a few other people for estimates but BG services really gave me the best price. Bill is such a kind soul with great bedside manner. Job was outsourced to another team without notification. Removal of stump and branches embedded in ground did not happen for 2-3 months & required multiple texts & calls.

Too expensive. Pushed price to the high side & then tried to lower it.

We had 5 trees cut down total and it took over 3 months to complete the work. When they cut down the trees but before grinding the stumps, they asked that we pay them in full (two separate checks so they didn’t have to wait a long time for them to clear). We did, about $6000 - and it took over three months for them to come back to remove the stumps. When they finally did come back, after multiple follow-up calls on our part, they showed up completely unannounced and when we told them it was not a convenient time, they responded with attitude and said this was the only day they would complete the work because the job was far away - even though we are in Montgomery County where they advertise they service, and even though they accepted the job and our money before they even finished. And then, when they cut down the trees and finally came back to remove the stumps, they tore up our grass and they left behind multiple piles of wood chips rather than cleaning it up. DO NOT HIRE THEM.

Bill was very quick in providing Estimate and after some clarifications agreed on job. He found the particular replacement tree i was looking for and had me scheduled the next day. Crew was very good and completed work in a timely fashion and cleaned up debris. would hire again for tree work

Very well done. We realized that some of the roots were in our way to do the planting and the crew came back and completed the shredding. The original work was done on November 2018 the completeness was done this past weekend (April 21, 2019)

Bill was professional from the beginning. He came out and gave me the arborist's view of our trees, one of which was overgrowing our neighbor's deck & garage. We wanted to do right by both the neighbor and the tree, which had not been addressed in a long time. Once we could get a date on the schedule, Bill & his team came out, diligently and carefully manicured the three trees and asked for feedback. He listened and responded and got all three looking better than ever since we've owned the property. The crew then went to the task of cleaning up every little bit of debris and left the area maybe even cleaner than they found it. Would highly recommend Bill for any tree work that you have.

Called and left message. Finally got a return call after a few days. Was told that he would come out that weekend and look at the job. Never heard back from him. No call, no show. Seems to be a common theme with tree services - they're so busy they don't need additional customers and value them so little they don't even call to reschedule. BG Services is apparently no different. Very disappointing.

I need a tree taken down and other miscellaneous trimming to be done.

Great service. Bill promptly returned my call and was on the job within two days of the storm event. The team cut and removed a large Douglas Fir that fell in our back yard.

It went extremely well. The job involved removing and replacing a section of the fence, taking down one tree that was half fallen already, and another that presented special problems because it was rotting at the base. Everything was done expeditiously and without harming anything else in the yard. Bill, the owner, is extremely experienced and shared a lot of good info about trees and tree removal with us.

I called up for an estimate and Bill came out to my home. He could not have been nicer. He looked at the trees and told me what the problem was with the trees. He offered me multiple options ie removing the worse trees now and then more in the future or removing them all now. He gave me an estimate as well as the time it would take. I had gotten estimates from other tree companies and his was not the cheapest but it was close. He would be doing a professional job with a bucket and chipper. I decided to use his company and within a week he scheduled a time. He was totally true to his word. He came out when he said he would and did exactly what he said. It took him about a half day longer than he estimated but he totally completed the job. He worked hard to make sure his trucks did not harm my grass. He put down plywood under the truck wheels and slowly moved the truck with the basket into position. He left my yard cleaner than it was before he started. He had to remove a section of my fence and he put it back together perfectly. I would strongly recommend BG Services they did an excellent job

Fast with estimate - speedy turn around between estimate & implementation. Excellent crew - very cooperative, professional & careful around garden areas. We have called Bill back several times & will continue to use his services.

Purchased offer via Angie's List and never heard from this company. After three weeks of waiting, I cancelled and received a refund from Angie's List.

BG Services was able to complete all of the the work within the timeframe required. The workers were on time and worked very efficiently. BG Services certainly has all of the tools to get the job done (both manpower and equipment). It was impressive to watch. Bill (the B in BG) was very conscientious and takes pride in customer safisfaction.

I was given a time range as when they would be at my house. They showed up setup in 2 min and where done in about 5 min. Pretty painless.

Bob and his crew did a great job and were able to do more than I had originally asked for during the six hour day. Great value for money!

The crew cleared out all the trees and brush in less than the six hours. I wish they had brought in a stump grinder, but otherwise the work they did was both effective and efficient.

Went very well. All trees came down safely. All debris was cleaned up. Obviously, they knew what they were doing with such a great outcome.
