Bill and his crew arrived right on time and provided exactly the services we arranged for, Lots of work was done on our trees including adding a band to a pair of at-risk trees. All of the work was very professional. Part of the service was to split and stack 2 cords of wood and this was also done in a timely manner. Bill is extremely knowledgable about his work and took great pains to let us know exactly what needed to be done. He was also very available on the phone when we had questions. We will certainly use his services again.

The guys came out and worked hard all day taking down some trees and trimming other trees. I think they filled a truck with wood chips. I plan on getting them back here in the spring to clean up some more.

My adventure with tree removal began with a neighbor having trees taken down. I flagged down the worker and asked for a quote. He promised to leave a business card but never did. After that, I googled the firm and left two messages and never heard from him. At this point, joining Angie's List seemed like a good idea to find a decent referral. I found several firms and filled out online forms. Never heard a thing. Then I called several firms. Heard from two firms ... but several days after the initial calls. Shared this observation with the neighbor and he laughed saying tree services seem to be that way. Anyway, Bill called back sooner that Company B and I had a little bit more confidence in him showing up even though Company B had a lower price. At one point, I thought I wouldn't hear anything for a couple of weeks, but Bill called back saying he had a bucket truck and could stop by that day. Figuring the weather could turn, I booked him. Bill and the crew did impressive work taking down a tall pine tree with a power line running through the branches without having to call PECO to shut off the line. He and the crew cleaned up nicely. He returned another day to take down the other tree and I reminded him that I wanted the stump of the pine tree ground and he did it as promised. Overall, Bill calls back, which to me is very professional and he did a good job taking the trees down safely and cleaning up. He's more expensive, but as I mentioned, he stays in touch, which made me feel confident after dealing with companies that didn't call back. I would definitely call him back.

These guys are fast and efficient. They got more work done than I could have imagined possible. We've been trying to clear up last winter's damage all year and they managed to clean it up and then some. Great work.

Highly recommend this company for tree services. I live in the woods and we had a lot of trees that appeared to threaten our home. Bill helped us determine which trees were unhealthy and needed to go. Very honest in his evaluation. His crew worked for two days and got more completed than I expected. Unbelievablely hard workers and everyone was very professional! I found communication with Bill very easy and timely. I will definitely use this company again.

The work went well it took around 4 hours for Bill to finish the work and he took away all the wood and cleaned up after the job was done. Overall very good service.

Bill was fabulous throughout the whole process, from the estimate to the tree removal and clean-up. He is thorough and explains what he's doing. His prices were very reasonable and he is funny and friendly. We will absolutely use him again and you should too!

Bill came with a crew of 3 total and did everything asked. Prior to the work day, Bill came out to walk the property with me to prioritize the trees I wanted trimmed and those taken down. They arrived on time, they did the job, and cleaned up everything before leaving. He checked in with me throughout the day as he saw some potential problems (tree with some disease) to make recommendations etc. Pleased with the work.

Purchased Angie's List Big Deal, "$1399 for ISA Certified 3-man Tree Crew and Chipper Truck for a Day". Provider arrived at appointed time, but was already upset upon arrival. It seems my location is farther than he likes to travel, although it is well within the service area described in the Big Deal ad. The quality of the work was good. The provider became increasingly angry with me as the morning progressed. The Big Deal ad included the following line, "$1,399 for three tree service professionals for eight labor-hours each (total of 24 labor-hours)". Provider was ready to leave after 3 hours and became very upset with me for misunderstanding that line from the ad. I took it to mean that they would stay for 8 hours. At that point I told him to leave because I don't want angry strangers at my home. Overall, I'm grateful for the work performed but disappointed with the unfriendly and unhappy attitude of the provider.

I purchased B G Service's deal from Angie's list for $1399.00. I was contacted immediately and a meeting was scheduled for him to see the work to be done. When running late he contacted us to let us know. We added the tree removal to the job. Bill spent 2 days pruning large limbs that were either dead or rubbing against the house. He constantly checked with us to see if he and his team were doing what we wanted. He was professional and extremely responsive.

We were interested in buying his $1,399 deal, but before we purchased the deal we wanted to confirm the work we need done would be covered by his deal. Bill indicated Saturday would be the best time for an estimate, and we scheduled for 4pm. 4pm came and went, and no sign of bill or no phone call. An hour later, Bill called and stated he was just leaving a job site and was running late. Unfortunately his call came too late, seeing that I requested if he was unable to make a 4 pm appointment to call me in the afternoon. Bill did try to make himself whole by coming on a Sunday, but called several times when we were unavailable and showed up when I was not around. Bill may do great work, but when selecting a contractor reliability and punctuality are important to us.

Was contacted for details about the job within 24 hours and the job was completed a few days later. Very satisfied with the work.

Bill answered my inquiry for tree work the same day it was made. It was a rainy day, so he was able to come and give me an estimate that same day. The work was scheduled very quickly. He and his crew did an excellent job. He had suggested we hire him for a day of work. What was accomplished was definitely well worth scheduling a day. I would certainly hire him again!

Unbelievable ! No heavy equipment, just strong "energizer bunnies". 3 trees with major pruning and one to come down.

All went well. But found his prices high compared to other vendors.

Person came on a different day than agreed to when my wife, not me, was home and she didn't really know what was going on. Estimate was $1,300 more than Angie's List discount. No thanks!

I called on Tuesday morning, left a voicemail. Bill returned the call that evening, arranged to come out the next day. We agreed on a price and he went to work. The job was completed quickly and efficiently.

I contacted B.G. Services because we needed a stump removed from our fenced in back yard. Bill responded quickly and was able to survey and provide me with a quote the next day. The service was performed that weekend (per my request). He was prompt and professional while performing the work. He had the right equipment for the job which took much less time than I had anticipated. Overall, I am very happy with the service I received and would recommed B.G. Services to anyone!

Our yard person had retired and our adjoining yards were overgrown and strewn with storm damage. Bill Gambone gave us a reasonable estimate for the amount of work and was able to pull together a team to do it the next day. Bill is very personable, energetic and knowledgeable. He guided us as when to prune certain species, understood how we liked our yard, and didn't leave until we were satisfied. It nice to find a company that is genuinely customer oriented.

It was a very long few months trying to get this stump taken out. The person (whose business I will not mention here) who took our tree down in April quoted us an extra $100 to remove the stump. Imagine my surprise when I returned to find the stump still there. He said that he couldn't do it because he doesn't have a stump grinder (even though we had the quote in writing). After several exchanges back and forth and even proving to him that we had it in writing, we decided to not pursue it any longer and started looking for another service. We found the contact information for a person who removed 15 arborvitae stumps for us a few years ago. His quote was slightly less expensive than Bill's of B.G. Services, but he told us a part on his stump grinder broke and should be fixed in a week. One week came and went, so I contacted him. Still no part. Another week came and went, and another...you get the idea. Eventually, he stopped responding to my emails, so back to the drawing board I went. Two other companies came out and quoted us more than $100 higher than the previous guys, but then I found Bill at B.G. Services. Not only was he responsive (unlike the others), but he was willing to negotiate on the price. He also came out within the week! I cannot say enough good things about his professionalism, response time, price, and the quality of his work. I am thrilled and will definitely use him again.

Over priced. No service performed - only estimate.

I had a very fast response from the company but the total price of the work I needed done was going to be too high so I did not use the deal.
