I was very happy with the work. Bill used a 60 foot bucket and was very capable at using the equipment. All trees were first limbed and then brought down in sections. Limbs were chipped; the larger trunks were removed later using a bobcat. He and his 3-man crew were very efficient, clearing the limbs and chipping them while Bill worked the chainsaws. Extra care was taken for existing structures -- lighting fixtures were removed to prevent accidental damage, they had to work around my well, and one of the larger trees was leaning precariously over the roof of the house and the pool yard. There were two sets of power lines involved; Bill worked with Met Ed to arrange to have the lines disconnected and then reconnected. All went very smoothly. When it was all over, I had stumps neatly trimmed to the ground, and all fences and lighting fixtures were re-installed. There was incidental damage to some of the grassy areas, but that was to be expected given the size of the trees and the equipment needed to get them down. I opted to keep the chips as mulch. Given the size of the trees and the amount of planning and effort to take them down safely, the price quoted to me was very reasonable. Given the extreme weather we've been experiencing this winter and spring, Bill has been very busy. But he came out to scope the job within a week of first contact, and the work was done a few weeks later, over a period of 3 days.

Received estimate a few days after obtaining coupon. Estimate was for removal of two trees and trimming of another. $1600. Considering I paid $199 for $400, the work would have cost me $1399. I had already had another estimate from a different company (who itemized the estimate, and actually did take a tree down for me), citing $400 and $600 for the removal of both trees. Considering that, all other things being equal, it looked like BG was charging $399 to trim one tree. This prompted me to ask for a detailed estimate. I left him a voicemail in January, and heard nothing. In April, I looged onto Angies' List and saw I had a message from BG asking if I was going to have the work done. I had no idea there was a message on Angie's List. I responded that I needed a detailed estimate. After a few days with no response, I left another voicemail. When I did not hear anything at the end of the day, I called back and reached BG. I was told that the $1600 he estimated was for a day's worth of tree work, and it was a better deal. When I asked to have it broken down, he said it would cost $1200 to have one tree removed. With the coupon, and what I paid for it, that would have been $1000 for one tree, whereas the other company would have charged $1000 to remove two trees. The property these trees are on will be going up for sale soon, so there is no point in my pursuing this any farther.

I did not use this service, I was never given the chance. I called several times and left a message requesting a quote for some tree work. Never got a return call. I am happy for the company that they are so busy that they don't need my business, however; they will not stay busy for very long if they don't start returning calls to people. I see I am not the first person to have this issue with this company.

Bill and his crew are steady, hard workers and he makes sure you are satisfied. I'm fairly particular. Very recommended.

They were great. They were efficient and effective. They got it done and cleaned up. They did a great job.

He hasn’t gotten back to me. I’ve been trying to contact him and I was actually thinking about asking if I could get a refund on that because he came out in January and looked around and I told him what I wanted done and then he said he will get back to me when it was warm and I tried calling him and no response. They should contact their customers promptly and setup schedules even if they have to be changed. Based on what he said he could do for $400, I think that’s too high.

Tree was interfering with power lines. Tree was cut down and removed. Mr. Gambone saw power lines sparking and suggested I report it to Peco. Trees around garage were cut back. Tree debris in yard was disposed. As the crew was leaving my disabled neighbor asked Mr. Gambone how much he would charge to remove a pile of fallen tree limbs along the curb. He said it would be no charge. He removed the branches and put them in the shredder. He told me it was against his principles to charge for that service. I was impressed by his kindness.

B G Services arrived this afternoon and started trimming. They were cautious, did a good job and cleaned up. I would recommend them without hesitation. As far as the cost, I gave you (Angie's list) $200.00 and paid B G Services $200.00. Total of #400.00. I didn't receive an invoice, B G Services said they will email it to me.

They did a nice job and hauled away the rubble. We hired them for 2 days.

Bill scheduled a date on Saturday as requested. He was on time and cleaned up the area so it was impossible to tell that a tree was removed. He was on time, courteous, friendly and very responsive. I will definately use Bill again. I highly recommend B.G. Services.

The tree men showed up on time and did a good job of trimming the tree in such cold weather. We will see how well they did once the leaves come out in spring time. The price is higher than we expected, however it might be still within the cost range by other service providers. He also helped me to cut two small trees down which saved me for doing it by myself.

Everything went well, they cleaned up all the limbs, etc. I would highly recommend this company and intend to use them in the future for other work.

We were able to come up with a date for him to come out quickly and he was on time for the appointment. He did everything he said he was going to do. It took him around a day to get the work done. The price was very reasonable and I was satisfied. I recommended him to others.

We spoke with Bill on a Monday and he was able to come out the next day and remove several trees and trim some others. He did everything we asked; cut logs to size, stacked, chipped and cleaned up with the leaf blower. We were impressed at how quickly the work was done and we were ready for our big party on Saturday! We will definitely have B.G. Services back for more work!
