The Clemens Group

Dan pulled together all of the various contractors needed to complete construction on my house. He also did a lot of work himself. Everything had to be done except for the framing and even some of that had to be replaced.  He was able to get the house completely finished to my standards and within my budget within 9 months. That was in 1999. I sold that house in 2005 for a significant profit thanks to Dan.
Additionally, he has the house I moved into after the one he built. I would not trust anyone else to do work for me and I refer him to anyone who needs any type of work done in their home. .

We felt very comfortable with the knowledge Dan and his team brought to our project from the start. His team of experts gathered in our home a few times to get the project started and carefully considered the pros and cons of the eventual room layout. Dan worked hand-in-hand with our architect to get every inch of our project planned correctly and advised us on the necessary township permits to avoid delays. The plan was executed exactly as designed, on time and within budget. The in-law suite contains a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and living room with huge windows facing East and South. The unit has independent exterior access as well as its own electrical run and central air conditioning unit. Our mother is very happy with the results and proudly shows off her living space to anyone who visits.

Dan was easy to work with and he had good ideas and recommendations and knowledge.  He advised us about the reaction of pressure-treated wood with aluminum flashing (I think that is the term) and recommended a different material for the flashing.   He recommended an outdoor light near the sliding door that we overlooked in the blue prints.  His team are professional craftsmen who did very nice work.  The local building inspector liked the team's work and Dan's insights.

The project was delayed than originally anticipated due to permit, inspections and approval features of the township (red tape?). Other than loosing the joy of enjoying being part of a great project, Dan, Mark and their crew are best at what they do. Money well spent.

Remove wet insulation. Paint to prevent mold. Clear attic soffits to improve air circulation. Spray foam insulation throughout. They kept the area surrounding the work site clean. Disposed of all debris. Gave choices in the work to be done (regular vs foam insulation). Were personable and easy to deal with. Showed up on time and finished when expected- we were expecting company!

Scheduled job in accordance with my availability. Accurately estimated time to do job. Dan and his team was very professional and detail-oriented.

Dan was great!  He came out and thoroughly inspected our roof personally.  He told us where the problem areas were and what steps needed to be taken to correct the problems we were experiencing.  His crew was fast and efficient in replacing our roof.  We were extremely happy with Dan Clemens and would hire him again.

The Clemens Group Inc. just completed a bathroom renovation and I am so happy with the results. The project consisted of a complete gut job of a 50+ year old bathroom.  Dan was so easy to work with as well as his crew.  Dan was attentive to all questions and concerns I had before, during, and after the renovation process.  Every text or phone call was answered promptly.  Dan has a way of making you feel like you are his only customer when he was clearly juggling many projects at the same time.  His top priority was that I was happy every step of the way.  He and his crew were meticulous about their work and it showed in the end result.  Finally found a trustworthy contractor and will definitely be using The Clemens Group Inc. (Dan) again for future projects.

The Clemens Group is a fantastic company.  The owner, Dan, is a great person to work with because he genuinely cares about his customers. The work they completed on our house is extensive. Everything from new flooring to a new roof and all rooms in between. They transformed our house.  Each time they completed a job for us they were professional, courteous and prompt.  They welcome any questions/feedback on the projects they complete to ensure it is done correctly and to your satisfaction.  I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their house!

A great person with a great BIG personality.  (Just a side note about Dan Clemens:  I had 2 of my grandchildren at the house and Dan took out the time to talk to them and they had a great time with him).

Dan is clear when he speaks to you regarding the job, letting you know exactly what he can do. He will explain the job until you understand what he will be doing for you.  He is very detailed oriented to make sure you understand.  He took lots of pictures and showed me each picture and explained what he could do to stop the leaks from coming into my house.  He replaced several of the wood and all of the shingles.  He never rushed out to go to another site, I was his customer and he made me feel like I was the only person he was working for.  He stayed in touch with me from the beginning of our first contact until the end.  Whenever I had questions I received an answer within hours of my call or text. 

I stopped by the house before the job was done and Dan was there working away with his crew just as he promised.  He came down from the roof and answered any questions I had.  I felt confident that the job would be done correctly and within the timeframe I was given.  I received pictures after the work was completed and my husband and I were very pleased.

I?m happy with the work that was done by the Clemens Group and I will recommend Daniel Clemens to my friends and family.

This is my third home I have contracted The Clemens Group to do work in. They were one of 3 contractors that bid on my first house project. I was so pleased with their work that I have continued to use them over the years as I moved around. The jobs have included roofing, siding, stone work, concrete patio and EP Henry patio, wood deck, stairs, complete kitchen and bath, finished basement, painting, etc. The most recent job I hired them to do was to install wood flooring in my current house. As usual, Dan met me to discuss the work, explained the steps they would take, and suggested I consider changing the direction I wanted the flooring to be installed. I took his suggestion and it made a world of difference, appearance wise! They always go the extra step, like sealing a area under my sliding patio doors that was visible with the carpeting gone before installing the new floor. 
Also to note, something that is very important to me, they are non-smokers and they are very receptive to working around my overly friendly dogs!
I look forward to using them again on my next project and refer them often.

Scott was instrumental in making the suite for our business a one of a kind retreat.  He helped to transform the room into a lodge style room with log siding and custom douglas fir trim. Scott immersed himself in the project by initially helping to correct some structural issues with the room.  In addition his creativity enabled us to have a unique suite that added value to our business and the resale value of our rustic property. Scott was also the finish custom carpenter for our home including crown molding and porch trim detail. He also  completed the plumbing for the suite. Scott is also willing to complete the tasks of a project so that it is professional and to your satisfaction.

It went great, service was performed in a timely manner and they cleaned up after they were done.

This is the third house I have had Dan and Scott from Craftwell Builders work at for me. They were one of 3 contractors that bid on my first house siding and roofing. I was very pleased with their work so I asked them back 2 years later to price out a whole overhaul at a house I was moving to. Before I moved in, they replaced the roof, the siding (and added stone), the front entrance with concrete, the back entrance with deck stairs, and all the windows. After I moved in, over time, I had them install a new kitchen, and finish the basement, adding a second bathroom with shower. After several years, I moved to a small townhouse and last month I had Dan and Scott install a wood flooring in my downstairs rooms. They met with me to discuss the work, explain the steps they would take to move the furniture from side to side in the smaller room and suggested I change the direction of the flooring I had planned. This change would maximize the visual size of the rooms and closets. So glad I took their advice! They worked for 3 full days, cleaned up after each day, and were very patient and friendly with my three overly friendly dogs going in and out to the backyard throughout the day!  The flooring looks amazing; they took the time to recaulk under my patio door while that area was exposed and even left some of my furniture on sliders so I could experiment with moving it around in different places on my new floors. Also to note something that is important to me as I have allergies to this, they are NON SMOKERS.
I look forward to using them again for my next project, my front porch, this summer.
