Rich's Rugs

This is the 2nd time we have used Rich. He is great to work with and the job is well done. No issues whatsoever. We will definitely recommend to all our fiends.

It went great. This is the second time we have used Rich - the first was in Philly and this time was for our new house in the suburbs. Rich was very accommodating with our schedules - he came over at 8pm and spent an hour with us going over all of our options. We had a bit of a time crunch with a baby on the way and Rich told us he would do everything in his power to get the rug in before the baby came and he did.

Rich did a fantastic job! We will definitely be using him again in the near future for other carpeting. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Rich was recommended to me by another A rated Angie's list contractor. Rich was on-time to our initial appointment and came to our home to meet with me and my wife. He brought numerous samples for us to review and was honest when asked his opinion on various matters. He also went through his process of installing the rug and some of the techniques he utilizes to ensure a higher quality installation. Rich couldn't be more professional in how he carried himself and presented the various products. He was very courteous to myself, my wife and our 3 year old daughter. He wasn't pushy in regards to any particular product and let us make the decision as to what we wanted. Rich also went out of his way to ensure we were pleased with his work product. When asked for a sample so we could find a wall cover he immediately brought his sample to our home after a long days work so that we could utilize it. Rich was the last person in and was on a time crunch because we had a party that afternoon for my daughter. He and his team member were prompt and efficient and completed the work quickly and professionally. We received numerous positive comments on the beautiful carpet he installed. I would definitely use Rich again and will post pictures upon returning home. Thanks again Rich!

I expected a high quality job and a very good price based on the number of "A" ratings Rich's Rugs had on Angie's List and yes, we certainly got those. It's the "extras" that made the project a delight from start to finish. Rich was responsive, personable and kind. His crew was great and left the area cleaner than they had found it. The result was beautiful. We were very pleased with the entire process.

I had two individuals come out before Rich and was not sure about either after discussing the jobs with them and seeing how they carried themselves. I instantly felt comfortable working with Rich. He had great recommendations and tons of information on the products he suggested for the install. He also really took the time to analyze the living room so that he didn't have to order a bunch of extra carpet costing me more money (living room is an odd size). The other area that made me really comfortable with Rich was the fact that he was actually on site during the install. The other two guys I had out for bid subcontracted out the actual work whereas Rich actually does the work with his team. The communication was great and constant (he even left carpet samples so I could make sure my girlfriend was on board with the choice), Rich and his team worked clean and fast. The install is great and I will 100% use Rich for any other flooring needs in the future.

Rich was highly responsive and knowledgable. 1) He replied to my message on the same day and provided an appointment window promptly. He came exactly within the scheduled window. 2) He took extra time and effort to explain the pros and cons of what I wanted to do. 3) The job was done right. 4) He had all needed tools and supplies in this truck. He fully vacuumed the area, took away all little carpet and padding pieces; it looked great! I have asked him for prices on other helping at my son's house given his professionalism.

Failed to cut sufficient channels for wire, visible under carpet. Failed to fill in between joints in sub floor, edges of boards visible. Failed to glue down areas along all walls. Cut carpet too short along walls. Poor finishing of step edge. Installation of carpet with ‘roll marks’. Every seam visible. Cut carpet poorly around stair railing creating hole at corner post. When Rich returned to 'repair' he was loud and aggressive instead of listening to my issues until I had to ask him if he was going to stop yelling long enough to hear what I had to say. He then defended his work first by saying any carpet manufacturer would find it acceptable, then blaming one of his workers who did not come with him to repair the rug, then told me I was hurting his feelings. His repairs were as poor as the initial installation, leaving holes where he attempted to repair steps and at base of newel posts, using staples that protrude above carpet in an attempt to make carpet 'grow' to meet wall which failed. Not worth even 1/2 of what I paid. Would never let him in my house again. Will have carpet redone this fall as it looks so bad.

Rich and his men arrived right on schedule, they were totally professional and efficient and they were just wonderful people. They did an excellent job, and they didn't even charge me for fixing a closet related carpet problem that the original installers had caused. For all of the work they did, they only charged me $250 ! I am absolutely thrilled with this company! I certainly plan to ask them to do the linoleum (or linoleum tile...haven't decided yet) replacement jobs that I need in my foyer, hall and kitchen. I think they're the "gold standard"! (I actually don't have a camera or I would post pictures.)

Rich and his team were awesome! He came in and did the work very quickly but also very thoroughly. He even fixed some things that the previous carpet people did wrong. He was great at communicating. Price was super affordable. He was super friendly and professional. I will definitely use him again and refer him to our friends.

Can't say enough good things about our experience with Rich. He was incredibly helpful from the get go - from suggesting types of carpets to consider to scheduling and rescheduling due to our changing schedule. He gave us the best price of all the companies we sought out for estimates and I felt like he did a wonderful job all the way through the end of the install. Upon removal of the carpeting he made some repairs to the subfloor to maake it a bit more even and applied kilz primer to areas where there was evidence of cat urine seeping through the rug pad. I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him the next time we need new carpeting! Thanks for everything, Rich!

Rich and his crew installed new carpeting in my upstairs bedrooms and hallway. He was professional when he came in to quote, kept me in the loop with delivery status and showed up on time the day of install. Carpet install was crazy quick and he and his crew did an awesome job. Because he came to do the quote himself I was able to explain where I wanted some specific details done a certain way. There are seams in the larger room but I wouldn't have known that if he didn't tell me, they aren't visible.

Great Experience. Rich was knowledgeable, flexible and approachable and fast. He came with samples to the unit and we had materials chosen, a plan of attack, and a contract within the hour. On the day of, he came with a crew and had both the tear out and the install done within the day. Quality work; he went above and beyond in a few cases and it showed. Down to earth and cool to work with. Would use again; would recommend to family / friends.

We are very happy with Rich and the work he provided. He was helpful and knowledgeable and easy to work with. He helped us understand our options and we're very happy with how the project turned out.

The service was great. Rich is very cool down to earth person. Friendly and willing to answers all questions no matter what. My husband and I decided to to go with Rich because we felt like we could trust him. He was very honest throughout the whole process and we didn't feel any pressure to buy or spend a lot of money. On the day the carpet was installed Rich was on time, he and crew got right to work the minute the walked thru the door. Rich was very professional and did not leave any mess when he left. I am so in love with the job he has done and would use his service again.

Rich came over on a Sunday afternoon to give us an estimate on carpeting. He was very friendly and punctual as well as he spent a great amount of time walking us through the process and different options. We ended up deciding that financially we should hold off on installing a new carpet however we definitely will be going with him and his company for the installation once we?re ready.

If there was a grade higher than an A, Rich and his crew would get it. Rich came out on a Monday night (after 7 to fit into my schedule) to take measurements and show me samples. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was very honest with his recommendations. You can tell Rich enjoys what he does. The experience got even better when his crew showed up to install the new carpet. They were professional, quick and did an awesome job installing the new carpet. His price was more than reasonable for the quality of the carpet and work. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Rich was great. I called him to set up a time for him to come by to measure and give a quote. He showed up two days later on time and gave a good priced quote. He was upfront on pricing so there were no surprises. He installed 3 days later, again showing up on time. He did a great job in a tricky basement which included a bunch of steps, strange angles and some built in furniture. Total job took 2.5 hrs. I was very happy with his work - would definitely recommend to others.

Rich is great to work with. He's extremely responsive and easy to communicate with, and takes his work very seriously. He took very detailed measurements of four flights of stairs (which was quite the task, since our house was built in the 1860s and hardly has a right angle in it!) and suggested places where we could go to pick out the rug. Once we'd picked a pattern out, he came back to double check the measurements. He picked the carpet up from the salesroom (we used Avalon), cut it (making sure that the pattern would even on both sides), and took it to get serged (he even brought us samples of the serging ahead of time so we could make sure the color would look good). He and his colleague Mike came to install it today and?thanks to all Rich's prep work?they were able to get the entire thing (46 steps) installed in about three hours. They cleaned up really well after they were done (which is especially important since we have a baby). Rich really goes out of his way to provide excellent service and is very thoughtful about every little detail. He's also very reasonably priced. We had a great experience and highly recommend him.

An excellent job in all aspects. Rich is the easiest rug man to deal with in anyone we have encountered. The work was performed in an efficient and timely manner.

Installed a extremely high quality padding, and carpet. Beautiful job. They worked within our busy schedule to get the work done on our time schedule.

Rich was a pleasure to work with. He fit us in quickly so that we could look at samples and was very honest and up front about the pros and cons of the various types of carpeting. On the day of service, he and his team arrived promptly and did an amazing job. They are clean, courteous and - most importantly - very good at their jobs. Very happy with the results: Rich came and measured, gave me a good price, and then promptly came and installed the new carpet. I especially appreciated that he reconfigured to get the carpet to get it to look good and save me money. The new carpet looks much better, and I'm very happy with the job.
