This was in every sense a great experience. Rich and his crew worked carefully and with skill.. They cleaned up after themselves. He kept us informed each step of the way as to what was being done and asking for feedback or concerns from my husband and me. He clearly takes a great deal of pride in doing excellent work. He is likeable and expects his workers to be courteous and respectful of clients as well. The day that he installed our carpet was a stressful day for him before he got there, but he stayed focused on us and the work to be done. Rich's professionalism and good customer skills impressed me immensely. He is honest, straightforward and clearly intent on satisfying his customers. I would recommend his services to anyone with work to be done. Great guy!

I just had the best experience in buying carpet. I decided at the last minute to get new carpet before I threw my husband a surprise birthday party. Being fairly new to the area I consulted Angie's List and found Rich's Rugs and saw their excellent ratings. I gave him a call, I think I may have been outside his usual area, but he came out 2 days later to show me samples and then had my carpet installed within the week!!! I was so impressed with his promptness, his professionalism and his overall work ethic. We love our new carpet! I will definitely being using Rich's Rugs for future carpet installations.

Rich and his brother were great. They came out sooner than we asked to install the carpet in our family room, then they came 2 weeks later again to install it in our basement. Their pricing was great, installation was great and they look out for the customer. They are easy to speak to, down to earth and friendly guys. Unlike other companies with a lot of overhead, these guys will install themselves. I would definitely call them again for my future carpet needs! Do yourself a favor and just call Rich!

There were 2 areas in the hallway of my triplex where the subfloor for whatever reason dipped and need to be filled in. I called Rich, and scheduled the appointment with him a week in advance. The day before the appointment, he called to confirm the time and address. Rich and his son arrived exactly on time. They pulled the carpeting back to diagnose the problem. Quickly they began working to cut the necessary pieces to patch the hole. When they had finished, they thoroughly cleaned up after their work, and even put the hall tables back in place. Rich explained in detail what he had to do to fix the problem, and wanted to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the work. He provided sound recommendations for repairs he saw may be necessary in the future, but did not try to up-sell, or talk me into repairs that were not needed at this time. The work was completed in about an hour, and the finished product is great. I would absolutely use Rich again.

I recently became a member on Angie's List and came across Rich's Rugs due to the great reviews and high satisfaction score he and his company already had. I must say I was NOT disappointed!!! Upon first contact with Rich he was personable and professional. For the consultation he arrived on time, had numerous samples in which to choose from and understood his products. Upon installation, I recently had the master bedroom walls painted with eggshell paint, which I couldn't get scrapped or marked. Rich and his son, Kyle, paid special attention to honoring this request. They installed the carpet efficiently, professionally and paid special attention to detail. They cleaned up very well after themselves and Rich even left me with a swatch of the carpet to use to match for decorative items in the room. Without a doubt I HIGHLY recommend Rich and his company for carpet installation. I had a great experience and am very pleased with the result. I even did a cartwheel in the room when they were done!!!

Rich & his team did an amazing job -- it was a complex rug pattern that posed some challenges but they did a great job at matching the pattern on all the stairs. Because of the measuring, the custom binding job, and the way the fabric was cut, we also got a nice runner rug in the hall, another rug at the front door, and yet another rug at the top of the stairs. Wonderful. And we got some great rug pads too free of charge.

I called Rich to install new carpet in my home when I saw all his great reviews on Angie's List. We made an appointment to discuss the job and he was prompt and had plenty of samples with him. He was also knowledgeable about the different types of carpets and helped me make a decision. We agreed on a date and time for installation and the cost of the installation - that I thought was very reasonable. Rich and his assistant were punctual and well-prepared to get the job done. They did an excellent job, and my carpet is beautiful. He took care of the little details in closets and the stairwell. I recommend Rich's Rugs wholeheartedly and without reservation.

He came with plenty of sample carpets to choose from. He was very knowledgeable with carpet installation and made very helpful suggestions. On the day of the installation he came with his worker, they were on time, efficient, clean and the carpet in three bedrooms came out beautifully. On top of being an excellent business man, I really enjoyed talking to him about life, family and a host of other things. Rich and his brother came out the day after I contacted him. They were on time, very professional and did it all including moving furniture. As they worked they both explained how the carpet probably became bulged and actually talked me through the process of what they were doing (I.e. double- tacking the rug). When finished they took the time to replace all furniture and explain carpet care and how to keep the carpet looking good. These two were A#1 craftsmen and I will recommend them to anybody who asks and to some who don't. Great job!

My experience with Rich was positive from the very beginning. I e-mailed him through Angie's list and he was extremely prompt and professional in his response. He called and we set-up a time to come out and do the work. He was able to accurately quote me based on all the details I shared with him. He showed up on time with his son to do the work. He was very professional and cleaned up the area and did a fantastic job installing the carpet. He went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied, and he answered all my questions completely. Rich was a pleasure to do business with, and I would call him again for any carpeting needs.

We had another carpet installer scheduled who backed out on us at the last minute. We were having furniture delivered on a Monday and needed to have the carpet installed before the furniture came. Rich had jobs lined up that entire week but after learning of our situation, Rich was willing to work on a Sunday resulting in no day off for him that week, in order to have the carpet in for us on time. He gave us an estimate based on the amount of carpet I ordered, and then reduced the price when he installed it as the room ended up being less square footage than we ordered. Good quality work, communication was great, showed up when he said he was going to, called the night before to confirm AND called a few weeks later to make sure everything was good and to make sure we were happy. How refreshing! Thanks Rich - we will certainly use you again and refer you to our friends.

I called Rich because I had just had a bad experience with another installer. There were issues with wall to wall carpet in one area of my home and issues with another type of area carpet installed on multiple landings of my stairs. Based on the reviews of Rich on Angie's list, I figured he would be the perfect fit for the job! I called and spoke to Rich and explained as best I could what the issues were. He understood well enough to prepare for what he needed to bring to my house to fix things. Rich quoted me a price over the phone too. We scheduled the appointment for several days later and he said he would call once he was en route, which he did. He arrived early, which was great too. When he saw what had been done by the other installer, he explained what the mistakes were and how he would go about fixing them. It was obvious that Rich knows what he is doing and has a lot of knowledge as well as the right tools for the job. It made me appreciate the shortcuts the other installer had taken. What impressed me was Rich's checking in with me as he worked to make sure I was happy with what he was doing. It gave me confidence that I would be satisfied with a job well done when he was finished. I also appreciated that Rich had his son along, who is learning the business from his Dad, who takes obvious pride in his work. Rich pointed out many details both to me and Kyle as he worked. Kyle is a good helper to have along to get items needed from the truck and do clean up work. I suspect that Kyle can do much more, but that my situation did not call for an extra person. Rich was able to handle it on his own. Know that it was tedious work pulling up staples and redoing what had not been done correctly the first time. Rich was in my home for several hours and brought the needed materials, which he included in his price. The agreed upon price of $150 was a bargain! I highly recommend Rich and will use him the next time I need any carpet installed.

Rich is beyond stellar!!! He was at our new home the day of closing to help us meet a very tight timeline of replacing carpet before moving in our belongings. He spent a great deal of time reviewing samples and explaining the positives of each. He explored our lifestlye and how we saw ourselves living in each new room. From there he worked the numbers and offered suggestions for saving some money if desired. On the day he was at the house we were also having the ducts cleaned . . . naturally the duct cleaners arrived earlier than expected and the noise from that service did intefere with communication with Rich - we just had a hard time hearing each other. We worked through it, made our choices, paid the deposit, and Rich left. I became quite stressed as the day and evening passed because I started to second guess our selection. I reached out to Rich via email and he called me back. On a Sunday afternoon he came out to our new house and dropped off the sample for me to hold onto. We were stunned he should care so much, and yet he truly did! At the same time he dropped off the samples, he dropped off the padding and he completed a small job in my laundry room (he kindly put down a new floor for us while the machines were out, etc.). I say a small job only because the Laundry Room is small with space only for washer and dryer. It still took Rich about 2 hours to complete. Rich's outstanding service continued as he awaited our carpet and encountered some warehouse issues. He kept us completely infomred and stated "I wil get it done." He did. The carpet was fully installed before moving day and it looks spectacular!!! It is light yet dark enough not to show every smudge; it vacuums wonderfully; the install is impeccable and Rich cleans as he goes. I offered to vacuum before he put down the new padding to which he said, that's part of my service. He vacuumed after install, as well. The seams are invisible and the baseboards look great (no bangs and bumps). In truth, one would never have known he was here. Rich's communication skills, open and friendly demeanor, work ethic, and talent are rare today It was refreshing to work with him and a pleasure to meet him. We highly recommend Rich's Rugs . . . you will not be disppointed. Rich, we'll be back in a few years . . . PROMISE!!!!!

We are very pleased with the results. Rich came out to show us samples and cheerfully let our kids jump on them - he even stapled down our (existing) carpet where it had pulled out so nobody would trip on it before it was replaced. He replaced the carpet a few days later and the new one looks fantastic. He was actually disappointed that we didn't want any help moving furniture back in! We'll definitely call him again if we need another carpet replaced.

Rich, his brother and son helped out tremendously! We returned back from vacation and our two cats were locked in multiple rooms. The carpets were clawed at close to the doors ways, leaving holes that I thought were unfixable. Rich was able to restore them back to their original state. He was even able to do it the same day. I highly recommend Rich's rugs and we will be using them in the future. Thanks Rich!

Went very well! James was on time, he was very professional and did a very good job tightening the carpet. he helped me move the furniture out of the way as well, he even vacuumed after the work was done. he installed an extra plank with nails to hold the carpet in place with no extra charge and secured the pad to the plank with the tape along the full length of the wall. Very happy with the service, carpet looks great!

Rich has gone above and beyond simply installing our carpet. He was polite, courteous, helpful, and did everything he could to make our installation a smooth and pleasant experience. Rich was able to complete the job in one day with no problems or inconveniences to us as home owners. The final result looks beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the end product and his attention to all the minor details. During the installation he also fixed a few of our sliding doors in the basement. A few weeks after the installation, we noticed our toilet was leaking (it had been moved during installation) and so I called Rich to see if maybe something was off. He quickly responded to my phone call and on a Sunday drove out to take a look at it. It appeared that maybe the cable was worn out so he then drove to Home Depot to get a replacement. He returned and also replaced some of the wood that had had some water on it. We ended up noticing something else was off with the toilet's gasket, so this all was just a coincidence and not related to the carpet work. Despite this, Rich went above and beyond to address this issue, which he certainly did not need to do. I'm extremely impressed with his commitment to customer satisfaction throughout the process and would highly recommend his services.

Great experience with Rich. He was very timely with regards to responsiveness, came out to give an estimate and spent a good bit of time with us answering questions and providing information. We decided during the estimate to work with him, and even though it took me almost 2 months to follow up with a installation date, Rich remembered us. We had decided to do the steps originally, and when I called to confirm the date, I asked if he'd be able to get us a area rug of the same carpet cut and bound. He happily did so on pretty short notice. This morning he and his son came out to install. He was prompt, and they were done the work in record time! He also upgraded the padding on the steps (I'm sure my downtsairs neighbors will appreciate that), and cut a couple of leftover pieces that I can use at the base of the steps. I highly recommend Rich, and look forward to working with him again!

Rich was so wonderful to work with! We did go with another vendor only because the pricing was a little cheaper. Rich had wonderful professionalism, very punctual and very thorough with his explanations and ideas on carpeting and flooring. Great guy and while we didn't have work done by him, we would definitely recommend him.

Rich was very professional and punctual. Called when he was on his way and cleaned up when finished. I Love , love love my carpet on the stairs. I was going to get laminate installed in the hallway, i think i will give Rich a call and have him do the hallway. Very pleased with the work that was done. Thanks Rich for a great job. I've been in my condo for about 2 1/2 years, and I had the carpet installed when I moved in. The contractor who did the original installation did an extremely poor job, and there were severe ripples and loose sections of carpet in almost every room of the condo. As I'm being transferred out of the area, I need to get my condo ready to put on the market very quickly, and the condition of the carpets was of concern to my real estate agent. Rich was great. I contacted him on Tuesday, and after describing my situation to him on the phone, he gave me an estimate of $400 for the job, and we were able to book the appointment for that Friday. I was concerned about scheduling the work in a timely manner due to my impending move, but Rich made that a non-issue with his great responsiveness. Rich and his assistant (his son) arrived on time, and even gave me a courtesy to let me know they were on their way. They were very careful and respectful of my furniture as they moved items around the apartment in order to complete their work. He was very concerned about not only fixing the ripples, but also that he not inadvertently cause other issues in the process, such as leaving gaps along the opposite wall. In the end, he only had to cut one new seam and he positioned it in the doorway of a closet where it is well camouflaged. The job took about 2 hours to complete, and he even dropped the price by $50 because he didn't have to do any work in one of the bedrooms. Rich is very good at what he does, and he is very concerned with making sure his customers are happy. After every piece of furniture was replaced, he made sure I was absolutely happy with it's placement. He worked very cleanly and made sure to clean/vacuum as he worked. He even removed splatters of carpet glue from my baseboards that had been left by the original installers. I would absolutely hire him again.

There is not much more I can say about Rich that you haven't read on the previous accounts. This gentleman definitely knows his carpets! He offered a variety of carpet types/prices which were reasonable and the quality of the carpet is excellent. Rich respected our home - he was careful to not leave the doors open so our cat could "escape"! His friendly and considerate manners were greatly appreciated and he has the highest professional standards. With all the work we have had done in our home over the past several years there is always a sense of "insecurity" when allowing someone you have never met enter your home. Rich put any insecurities to rest with our first visit. He is a man of his word and a master of his craft. I would definitely invite Rich back to provide an installation service again...but we ran out of rooms!!!

Did a great job, was on time and a man of his word. He realized that I was due a credit back of approximately $80 and made sure that it was reduced from my bill. If he hadn't told me I never would have known. Very honest guy and look forward to working with him in the future. The day before Rich installed my flooring, I had a horrible experience with Executive Maids. Hence, I needed for this go smoothly given the number of issues I had the previous day, and Rich did a tremendous job. Thank you Rich

Rich called me back immediately and came the next day. He was honest and gave me a great price. The carpet repair blended like new. I will definitely call him when needed and recommend him to friends.

I called Rich's rugs after another carpet guy didn't show up twice! He conveniently got me into his schedule. He was on time, friendly and did a great job. Explained why I had the problem and how he was fixing it. I am very pleased and will be keeping his info as my new carpet repair and installation guy should I need services in the future.
