Rich was very professional and courteous. He and his son did a great job replacing carpet on my stairs and patching up spots elsewhere. I really appreciated his honesty and desire for excellence. I'll definitely use him again in the future.

This is the second time I have used Rich and I would 100% use him again. Rich does an outstanding job. He is very professional and courteous, extremely patient with his clients and is always looking out for their best interests. Rich took the time to understand what we were looking for in terms of aesthetics and also the budget we were working with. He presented us with numerous options for flooring (carpeting, hardwood, laminates, etc.). He gave us a cost breakdown of each option and information for things like lifecycle of each product. He had several samples available to show us (he even let us take home and keep one of his boards for a few days to think it over). When he didn't have samples, he was able to tell us where we could go in our area to see the products in person. He never pushed us toward the more expensive options. Rather, he talked at length with us about what our choices were and the pros and cons of each (not just the cost). He also gave us great advice with regard to selecting the right kind of padding for our needs. We ended up with a padding that is very cushiony but also has a plastic-like overlay that makes it less likely that smells and dirt will seep into it from the carpet. This means that next time, we should not need to replace the carpet but just the padding. We would not have known this was an option if he had not shown it to us and explained the benefits to us. On the day of the install, Rich arrived promptly with his crew. They took up all the old carpeting and padding throughout the house. They made sure to schedule around our trash pickup so that the discarded parts would not be lying around for days. The main reason we had to replace the carpet was due to a smell in one of the rooms that did not come out even after shampooing the carpet. After removing the carpets, he and his crew treated the floor in the affected room with different products to help eliminate the smell. They then laid the carpet down. As they were working, they found some problems with our laminate flooring installation (loose pieces that were not nailed or glued down). They fixed those at no extra cost to us. They completed the job on time and the estimate for supplies and labor were spot on. The carpeting he helped us choose was absolutely beautiful and lush. Best of all, the smell was completely gone and the house smelled great throughout. I seriously can't say enough good things about Rich and his crew. They did an amazing job at a great price and in good time. I know that the next time we need flooring of any kind, Rich will be the first person we think of and call. If you need flooring of any kind, give him a call. You will be glad you did.

Rich and his crew provided the same service for our company about a month ago and it was easy to make the decision to use him again. Rich provides more than just a rug installer. He is a great guy to work with and to have met.

Rich called me back the same day and came out the next day to give us a estimate he had many samples and was very helpful on what type of carpet we needed for our new home. Rich even gave us the name of a warehouse where we could look at more samples. I had trouble making up my mind but Rich was very understanding and even came back to my home with samples so I could make a decision. The day of installation went as expected and the carpet looks great. I plan to call Rich in the spring to carpet my basement. Thanks again Rich for a terrific job I will be calling you soon.

We asked Rich to repurpose an existing carpet in a different room, very much a custom job. Rich was literally able to schedule me 2 days after calling him which was great. I am very pleased with the job that Rich and his Son did installing the carpet. It looks great. After looking at the job that he completed and listening to all the variables he took into account for the install, it was clear that Rich knows what he is doing. $400 to measure and cut the existing rug and install (including creating a new seam) and a new carpet pad for a 13x15 room. Very fair deal for the amount of labor the two guys put in. I would use him again in the future.

We're so glad that we chose Rich for the rugs in our new home. Right from the start, we could see how professional Rich is, and the pride that he takes in his craft. His attention to detail and level of patience amazed us. He walked us through the whole process and was so patient with us in deciding what kind and color of carpet to order. The carpets look beautiful, and I know we will call on Rich again the next time that we need carpet.

Rich's Rugs was wonderful and I would highly recommend them and use them in the future. Rich promptly answered his cell phone every time I called or called back immediately. When he came to show us samples and provide an estimate he was extremely friendly, professional, thorough and you could instantly tell that he truly took pride in his work. He spent over an hour with my husband and I showing us different samples and colors. He really took the time to make sure we were 100% satisfied with our choice in style and coloring. The carpeting we selected ended up being on back order. Rich knew we were on a time crunch as we had scheduled a moving company. He was all apologies even though it was beyond his control. In the end Rich completely came through. He was able to somehow rush delivery of the carpeting and meet or strict deadline - miracle worker. On the day of install Rich and his crew were extremely professional and worked efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves and made me do a thorough walk through after the work was completed. Again he wanted to confirm I was 100% satisfied. They were highly skilled and a pleasure to work with. We could not be more satisfied with the new carpeting in our new home. Thank you Rich!

I looked on Angie's List for a local person to install carpeting for me. I was amazed to see the high ratings ~ all "A's" ~ that "Rich's Rugs" had received. Having worked with Rich over the past month, I feel that every positive comment that was written by other members of Angie's List is true. At a mutually convenient time after my initial contact, Rich came to my home with rug samples. We talked about what I thought I wanted. (He told me that I could go to his carpet supplier and look at other options if he did not have samples I liked.) I chose a type of carpet, and Rich measured the areas and gave me an estimate. There were three rooms on the second floor, a stairway, foyer, and two rooms on the first floor to be carpeted. He allowed me to hold onto the sample board while I decided on a color. Rich came back promptly when I made my decision and we finalized the deal. He agreed to find a reducer for the area where the carpet would meet laminate flooring in the kitchen area. Richard called me several times to update me on the progress of the order, and on the installation date. Rich called a half hour before his arrival, and came at 8:40 with his son and two other gentlemen on the day of installation. The carpet upstairs had been installed with glue, rather than tack strips. The stairway and downstairs had many extra staples, making the removal of the old carpeting more challenging and time consuming than expected. Once the old carpets and padding were removed, Rich spent extra time trying to reduce the squeaks in the flooring with screws and nails. He checked with me regarding the results because he didn't want me to be disappointed. The four men worked tirelessly and extremely professionally for 8 hours, barely stopping to eat a quick lunch. Each of the four men was polite and pleasant, and seemed to be a very competent and quiet hard worker. Richard is serious about his work, but is very approachable and easy to talk with. He makes you feel comfortable asking questions, and sort of "thinks out loud," offering a variety of answers/solutions to your questions. Occasionally I could hear Richard explaining fine points of his craft to his son, and willingly answered my questions even as he worked. Frequently, I heard Rich say, "it's just the right thing to do," or "it's the right way to do it." I felt that Rich was very conscientious, and made every effort to have me satisfied with his work and the outcome of the project. I am happy to be able to rate Rich's Rugs so highly on Angie's List! Without a doubt, I would enlist Richard for another carpeting or flooring job in the future, and would recommend him without hesitation to others. (Thank you, Rich!! Keep up the good work, Kyle.)

Rich installed carpet for me on 2 separate occasions - 1st time for my family room and 2nd time for my son's room. Rich was very accommodating and did his best to work with my schedule and came out 2 different times to show me carpet. Both rooms turned out great and I would definitely use him again. My son was born a month early and after calling Rich on a Friday afternoon he was able to arrange his schedule to come out and carpet my son's room that following Monday so the room could be ready in time.

Rich came to my house and measured the basement and stairs of the carpet that I wanted to replace. He provided me with a variety of samples to choose from as well as explained the benefits of each and what would make the most sense for the traffic in that area. Rich was able to calculate an estimate right on the spot. While discussing the carpet, he suggested (not in a pushy way) that I consider a new vinyl floor in the basement powder room to complete the "makeover". He was able to give me an estimate for that as well. I felt at ease with him and confident that he would do a great job. I called him and scheduled the work later that day. We came up with an installation day that worked for both of us about three weeks away (I was waiting for a painting project to be finished or he could have done it sooner). He touched base with me the day before installation to go over timing. Rich and his crew showed up as promised, ripped out the old carpet and padding, installed the new, installed the vinyl floor in the powder room and did a great job cleaning up. He then went over all of the work they performed and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. If that weren't enough, he called a few days later to check in and make sure I was still happy. Needless to say I still am and would not hesitate to call Rich the next time I need new flooring.

Rich is extremely knowledgeable about carpeting.....I never knew there was so much to learn about carpets. Rich was very punctual and professional and his team did an excellent job of installation! We felt very fortunate to find Rich on Angie's list and highly recommend him!

Some days things just work out wonderfully. We purchased carpet for our stairways about a year ago but, because of restoration projects, we never had it installed. As a new member to Angie's list I looked up carpet installers and noticed that Rich's Rugs had many recommendations and worked in our area. I called and Rich answered from his morning job site. Their morning project was going faster than expected so he felt he and his helpers could do our small job later in the day. They came, their work was excellent and I certainly recommend Rich's Rugs for any project large or small.

Rich was wonderful to work with in a very difficult long distance situation. We were selling a house in NC and moving into one in PA. I was under a short and complicated time schedule and had no idea what kind of new carpet I wanted put into the PA house before our furniture arrived. My daughter in PA got Rich's name off Angie's list. I called him and immediately Rich gave me great suggestions and was more that willing to accommodate my difficult and short notice needs in a timely, friendly and encouraging manner. He worked with my daughter and I to get the right carpet and color to brighten up our new older home. He was willing to work late and put on extra crew members to get new carpet in our house the day of closing before our movers arrived the next day. He and his team did a great job and I'm very pleased with the carpet quality and reasonable price. I would definitely use his services again. Thanks Rich!

Rich came out three business days after we spoke, accomodating our need to have the carpet reinstalled prior to an upcoming party. Rich called 30 minutes prior to his arrival and I met him at my home, eliminating the need for me to take an entire day or half-day off from work in order to be home for a standard "service window" type appointment. Rich and another installer got right to work, laying new pad and reinstalling my carpet. Installation went smoothly with no damage to the carpet upon reinstallation - which is certainly possible when dealing with carpet that had been wet. Rich completed the job in under one hour, vaccumed the room and removed all trash. Rich and his fellow installer even moved a large, heavy sofa back to its original location. Was very pleased with the quality of service I received.

Checked Angie's List. Found Rich's Rugs. I called the number, immediately picked up by RIch. Arranged a home visit that was convenient for my wife and I. On the agreed data and time, with a phone confirmation prior, Rich arrived promptly. We (wife) selected a top brand carpet. The area needed was small(ish). Immediate written price quote. Though a special order, it came in when promised, was delivered and installed in one week exactly. Rich 'ran the table' in the ratings, my wife and I agree. Another top recommendation from Angie's list, received and passed on to others.

I had used Rich before to fix a mistake made by another carpet installer. After that great experience with Rich, I knew I would be recommending him to anyone needing carpet. I never expected to need Rich's services myself only a few months later, but after a sudden need to move, I needed Rich to install carpeting on two levels of stairs in my new home. The installation was tricky because I needed it done within a very short time frame. Rich came on Friday to measure and give me an estimate and installed the carpet on Monday. It helped that Rich recommended a carpet he knew would be in stock in order to meet my tight deadline. What sets Rich apart from other people who have done work in my home is that he really takes the time to explain what he is able to do with the carpeting. It's not simply an installation. It's carpeting to meet one's specific needs. He genuinely cares about his customers. I suspect that most of his business comes by (excellent) word of mouth. In the case of my recent job, the stairs were wider than the norm and required extra carpet. Rich explained that to me. He also threw in an extra service at no charge. Rich also uses a good grade of padding which feels great under foot. His crew consists of himself, his son (who is learning the business from his Dad) and his brother. All were respectful of my home and careful to clean up afterwards. You will be happy you called Rich to install carpet. He does an excellent job!

Rich was great.I gave him a call ,he came out very quickly,gave estimate.He forgot to give us the color information and came out of his way to bring it back to us.He called the day before the job ,then when he was on his way over.I have an Angies List business myself and know the importance of good service and ratings.This business is top notch,excellent.I will use him again and also recommend him to family and my customers as well.thank you Rich and family for the excellent service and nice carpet.

They did what they said they would do. Very helpful and solicitous, pleasant and polite. Did a great job installing the carpet. Very professional. Agreed to make some small repairs to the threshold between hall and bedrooms: added strip of hardwood flooring at the threshold between bedrooms and wood floor and hall so carpet doesn't show under the door from the hallway. (it looks really good) Cleaned up/swept after they completed the installation. Made small repair to existing carpet in a different room than those in which new carpet was installed.

During the initial cost estimate visit, Rich brought carpet selections based on our conversation that were perfect and saved me the effort of shopping for samples outside of office hours. Rich and Jimmy did an amazing job. The job was relatively small for commercial work and they had no gripes about it. Our office building is difficult to work in and Rich and Jimmy dealt with any obstacle efficiently. They were able to work during office hours and everyone in the office was impressed with their speed and professionalism. Rich made sure I was happy with the work before he left. I will definitely work with him in the future.

We thought we were going to put carpet in three bedrooms -- turns out (much to our surprise) that one of the bedrooms had hardwood floors. So, we decided not to carpet that room and only put carpet in the other two rooms. Rich worked with us -- and was very helpful.

The service was great start to finish. He was prompt in returning our phone calls and scheduling an appointment. We were able to choose a carpet from the many samples he brought to our home, and he explained the differences in the price levels and quality of the carpet. We were able to schedule an install time just a few days after choosing our carpet (it could have been sooner if not for our schedules) He, his son, and brother-in-law arrived on time on the installation day, moved our furniture, installed the pad and carpet, and returned the furniture to their original places in record time. This is the exact reason I love using people who work for themselves! They were respectful with our space and belongings, took pride in their work, and explained everything without making you feel like you were asking dumb questions. We were replacing our carpets to sell our home, but we will certainly use Rich again when our new home needs carpeting.

Loved it! Rich was efficient, easy to work with and had great results. He's been the easiest part of our move.

RICH AND SON SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WERE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL REGARDING THE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF CARPET. I HAD A PROBLEM WITH EXCESSIVE NOISE FROM THE SUBFLOOR. RICH, AT THE OUTSET, COULD ONLY PROMISE HIS BEST EFFORT TO ELIMINATE THE SQUEAKS. HE SUCCEEDED IN ELIMINATING MOST OF THE NOISE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM TO FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES.

Rich explained what was involved in fixing the carpet and a fair estimate of the cost. We have a universal gym in the basement which needed to be moved in order to stretch the carpet. Also it needed to be stretched from both sides of the basement to avoid "gaps" where cuts had been made for the doorways and staircase. He came the next day (he had a cancellation) and did the repair. It looks fantastic and there are no gaps and no patches needed after stretching the carpet. They were quiet and efficient and cleaned up after they were done. I would definitely recommend him.
