Rich's Rugs

We needed new carpet in our basement and I saw all the great reviews that Rich had on Angie's List so I contacted him. He answered the phone when I called even though he was in the middle of a job and said he would call me back later that afternoon when he finished and did as he said. He came out to our house to measure the area and answer any questions we had . We wanted something nice but not too expensive and Rich listened, gave us options that fit what we were looking for, and didn't try to sell us on anything we didn't want. He was very honest and helpful and explained things. Rich was involved in all steps of the process, so he came out to measure and look at the area, and he was also there to do the install with his crew. I found this to be helpful because they didn't send one person out to measure and promise things that couldn't be delivered once the installers were there. On the day of install Rich arrived with his crew promptly at the time he said they would be there and immediately got to work. They were very professional and worked quickly. We are very happy with the work they did for us, and have shown off their work and recommended them to our friends already. The next time we need carpet work done, Rich will be the first call I make.

Working with Rich was a great experience. He was very helpful and upfront with all my options and costs. He and his team were punctual and installed my carpet very quickly and professionally. I have a refrigerator in one area of the room that I realized at the last minute might not do too well on the new carpet. His guys cut a sheet of plywood for me to place the fridge on and installed it for me at no charge. Rich really made the whole process easy, the carpet looks great and I couldn't be happier with it.

I am so pleased with Rich's work. He was very professional and gave us exactly what we asked for. After getting a few quotes i felt Rich's quote was the most honest and reasonable. He had so much knowledge about carpeting and what would work for my family of five. His crew was great and even changed furniture placement for me. I have already recommended him to my mother in law who lives right across from me. After seeing our carpet she said as soon as she is ready to replace hers she will be calling Rich.

We had a great experience with Rich. In our initial meeting, he was very knowledgeable and able to help us decide which was the best option for our bedrooms out of many options. He did not try to oversell us on anything; rather, he was great about keeping the price reasonable. We were working on short timelines and Rich was very accommodating and able to fit us in for the next week. The scheduling promptness was a big reason why we went with Rich. On the day of service, Rich did an excellent installation and clean-up. We had some doors that were rubbing on the new thicker carpet and Rich trimmed the bottoms of the doors, so it wouldn't be an issue. That extra service was very much appreciated by us. Overall, great service and great experience.

It went great. Rich met us at our new house several days before settlement to take measurements and then came to our current home twice more to go over our choices and offer up his years of expertise. One of the evenings he stayed close to two hours to make sure we had all the information that we needed and he left us with multiple samples so that we could choose the colors after the rooms were painted. On the day of the installation, it was Rich and his nephew that came over to do the job. They were prompt and were finished the job by mid-afternoon. There were several details that he paid attention to that I wanted to detail below: 1) Laying small pieces of carpeting in some small cubbie holes in my daughter's bedroom where a radiator previously had been. This is allowing her to use the space to store her stuffed animals, so I really appreciated his willingness to do this. 2) In this same room, he found that there was not a wood floor underneath as we suspected there would be (it was some kind of very old laminate). He immediately let me know, and took pictures just in case there was a problem in the future. 3) While he offerred to take away the old carpeting and padding, he let me know that it would likely add ~$100 to the cost (due to his having to dispose of it properly). He suggested calling the township to pick it up, as they usually charge a nominal fee to do things such as this. In this case, it was $10/room or $30 total. His advice saved me another ~$70 or so. Rich was very honest, took pride in his work, and promised to come back if there were any issues. We would highly recommend him to anyone in the Philadelphia area looking to put in new carpeting.

I've used Rich rugs before. Rich is prompt and knowledgeable. He does excellent work and has all the fancy tools to do an excellent job. I am very happy with his work and would use him again and refer him to friends.

Rich was terrific, beginning with our initial consultation through final installation. He provided good advice on our choice of padding and carpeting, and I never felt like I was being upsold on anything. On the day of installation, Rich was prompt, efficient, and clean. I had a wet basement from a leak behind the wall. The damage was not worth putting through my insurance but I was flat broke from the previous house disaster and had to depend on my brother to repair the damage in his spare time, which he has very little of. All told it took nearly 9 months. Once we got everything dried out we rolled up the berber carpet and padding half way into the room. (The other side of the room was not affected.) Since all the furniture and stuff was pushed to the "good" side of the room all that time, walking on the rolled up section of the carpet was usually the only way to get across the room. Needless to say the carpet was badly creased when we were finally able to roll it out again. I called Rich on a Sunday, expecting to get voice mail, but he did answer. I told him what I needed done and he came over later that evening to check it out and give me an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. In addition to that he was willing to come and do the work on a Saturday so that I would not have to take time off from work. That was a blessing because this is my crazy busy time of year at work. Rich and Eli came on Saturday and did a great job of stretching everything all the way to the walls, and were able to join the sections where I had to cut the carpet in order to avoid having to take up the carpet in the hallway as well. And they did not even bat an eye when I asked if they could help me out and put my monster 250 pound TV back into place. You can see where the creases were but that is to be expected with the way that berber is woven, and Rich said that they will disappear with time after loosening up and vacuuming. One crease is already starting to disappear. These are nice guys and certainly about the most accommodating that I have ever dealt with. My Rich's Rugs magnet is prominently displayed on my refrigerator. I want to be sure that I never lose his number for when I need new carpets or if I should ever need any carpet repairs again. Rich is definitely my go-to carpet guy.

Amazing job, even though uncontrollable factors were not in our favor (snow, ice, temperatures). Rich and his team were on time, pleasant, professional, and did a fantastic job. He went above and beyond in making this job happen, even while it was being coordinated from out of state. When you meet Rich for an estimate And measurements, he'll tell you he wants you to be happy with the job he does, and that he strives to treat you in the same way he would want himself or someone in his family tretated. AND THAT'S NOT JUST TALK! HE ACTUALLY MEANS IT AND CONDUCTS HIMSELF ACCORDINGLY! I'd hire him again, without reservation. Hire Rich, and you'll be very, very pleased.

From the estimate through installation, working with Rich was an absolute pleasure. He is a really helpful and responsive person and is willing to go the extra mile to earn your business. He offers very fair pricing and is will work with you every step of the way to get you what you want. I highly recommend Rich for all your flooring needs if you want a stress less experience and a great price. My wife and I are thrilled with the work he and his team did.

Rich's Rugs was great and representative of someone who takes real pride in their work. I received a quote from Rich and from a big box store. The estimates were exactly the same. However, the estimator from the big box store was here for about 10 minutes, measuring the area and reviewing options. Rich, on the other hand, spent an hour and an half performing measurements, discussing options, and giving me very helpful tips on how to deal with a cat who has "accidents." This was before I even hired him! In the end, the decision was easy. Rich ordered the carpet and installed it less than a week later. Again, he and his helper, Mike, spent a lot of time explaining the work they were doing and teaching me how to accommodate our elderly cat. The finished product is beautiful, comfortable, and clearly high quality. There's no doubt that we'll be calling Rich's Rugs again in the future for all our flooring needs.

Rich was very punctual and offered good advice on which carpet and padding to get. He took pride in minimizing excess carpet after the job was complete. We would use Rich again and were happy with the job of him and his crew. He also was flexible in scheduling a time to complete the install since we were moving into the house and had various services being done.

First visit - measured and agreed upon the specific rugs. Second visit - arrived promptly upon the time agreed. Did entire installation in hour and half. Were friendly and very professional. Did a great job. I would use them again and refer them if given a chance.

Rich was fantastic. He came out about a month before the install to give me a quote. Pricing was very straight-forward and Rich was very knowledgeable about the carpets he had available. When it came time to install, Rich came out with 2 other guys. They got here around 9:30am. The crew installed carpet in two bedrooms plus down the stairs in 3 hours flat. All of the guys were courteous and conscientious while they were here. Rich upgraded the pad used on my stairs, too, free of charge, which was awesome. All told, it was a great experience from start to finish and I'd use Rich again in a heartbeat.

Rich's Rugs did an excellent job. The price was very reasonable given the project's scope (complete re-carpeting of a 5 bedroom house). Rich and his team were punctual, professional, and trustworthy. The house looks fantastic thanks to their high quality work. Highly recommended.

Rich and Mike had two bathrooms to retile, plus one floor landing near the garage. They came out one day to look at the areas; we agreed on price; they staged the work so that they knew how to start the first tile; they pulled the toilets and sink; they removed the quarter round molding and replaced, as needed. We agreed to use some additional adhesive, even though these were self-sticking tiles. At the end, Mike commented that the tiles were probably sticky enough to work alone. They caulked where we could not put quarter round. I inspected; and paid at the end. These are careful, professional workers who know what they are doing; do the work efficiently; leave a lovely job at the end.

Rich and his partner came promptly and were out in about an hour and half. They did a great job, didn't scratch up my baseboard and made a nice tight fit with no lumps or bubbles. He explained all the different carpet and padding options available and scheduled me in on a few days notice, great job, I will use Rich's rugs again the next time I need carpeting

Rich and his crew were fantastic. They take pride in their work and the whole job went extremely well. The carpet looks great and we could not be any happier with the job. I will definitely be calling Rich for any future jobs. The experience with Rich was unbeatable from the very beginning.

This is the 3rd time we've worked with Rich, and I'm again so happy! He really is the best to work with. He came out on a Sunday to go through colors with us, ordered the next day and had it laid all by Wednesday at 1 pm. He works quickly, and is conscientious. Above all, he and his crew Kevin & Mike, are respectful. That goes along way. I never feel like I'm getting a run around from Rich, and after dealing with a number of contractors lately, its nice to have someone be honest with you! My dealings with Rich Stein from the initial phone contact to our final handshake upon completion of the install, left me with the impression that there are still some professional contractors out there. I can only report that Rich and his two man crew were pleasant, courteous and accommodating during the installation of 70 Sq. Yds. of carpet. The final product of their work looks to be near perfect. Great job. I will and have recommended Rich's Rugs to anyone in search of competent, hard-working carpet installers.
