Wonderful service. He came to our house the same day we called him with a large amount of carpet samples. As soon as the carpets came in he performed the whole job in one day including taking up the old carpets and moving the furniture. Rich is a really great guy and I would highly recommend him.

Rich provided excellent service and workmanship, from the initial consultation through to the final installation work. My wife and I were on a tight deadline to get the nursery ready, and Rich was able to get the installation done *the day after the consultation*! They had plenty of selection, both in types of carpet as well as color. Rich was able to quickly help us settle on a carpet that works perfectly for the room. The actual installation went very smoothly - Rich and his associate Tom both worked quickly and masterfully to get the carpet properly stretched and joined with the hallway carpet. The whole process took only an hour, maybe even a little less. To top it off, Rich and Tom even carried some heavy furniture into the room afterwards! Especially given the reasonable price, Rich's Rugs exceeded my expectations - would definitely recommend.

Rich and his crew were clean, punctual, quick, and professional. I still can't find the seams. They were worth every penny. I will definitely work with them in the future.

Finally, a contractor that cares! Rich really cares. He was always professional, explained our choices, and the differences between them. He gave us the knowledge to choose correctly. He was always punctual. He and his crew did a first-rate job, even bringing in more men so he could turn a 2-day job into a single day. He returned our furniture and belongings to their proper places. Before he left, he made sure that everything was done to our satisfaction. Most importantly, he was there from start to finish to supervise the job, rare these days. I would recommend him to anyone!

Rich was great. He explained the process of what we should do when it came to selecting the carpet and padding. He brought us samples and really helped us pick out a style that would work for us. The job he did was top rate and he and his team (which was a cousin and a nephew) were both professional and very cordial. The did it in the time that they said they would and really cleaned up after the job was complete. We really like the new carpet and are very happy we used Angie's list to find a contractor like Rich. I would strongly recommend Rich if you have a need for installing carpeting.

We had such a great experience using Rich's Rugs. From the first meeting to the installation Rich was very knowledgeable, honest and helpful with picking out the right carpet for our home. We set up a consultation and he even called when he was on his way and arrived on time. It was extremely convenient to have him bring the carpet samples to us so we could look at the carpet in our house with our lighting. He brought a lot of samples and had even more in his truck so there are a lot of options to choose from. He took the measurements that day and was able to give us a quote on the spot based on the carpet we choose. His prices are fair and very reasonable.He came back three days later as promised and installed all the carpet in a day. Our carpet looks great and are very impressed with this company. We will definitely be using them again in the future! Forget Lowe's and Home Depot!

Rich was nothing but totally professional from our first phone conversation thru the installation of the carpet.. He was very honest about the options we had for new carpeting. I was very comfortable with his input and as I was with the decision we made. My wife is confined to a wheelchair, so we wanted to have her on the porch while the work was being done. Knowing this, Rich arrived on the day of the installation with a extra member of his crew, in order to get the job done faster so that my wife would be able to get back inside quickly. Rich and his team did an amazing job, with no seams at all. They moved all of our furniture out and then had everything back in place before they left. Everybody on the team were professional and extremely caring and courteous. This is one business that definitely cares about their clients and I would absolutely recommend them.

We had a toilet supply line burst in November 2014 and it damaged our carpet, foam mats, and basement flooring (vinyl tile). We had an adjuster come out to assess the damage and they brought in a terrible contractor to "repair" the damage by ripping up part of the floor and leaving. Little did we know that the tile was actually asbestos! They didn't even inform us until after they were ripping it up! We made up our mind to get rid of them immediately and started looking for a floor guy. After several quotes from the "big names" in flooring, we came to Angie's list and found that Rich had the best reviews in the area. Called him up, he responded right away and came to look at everything the next week. Right from the get-go, we liked Rich. He was the only person we spoke to that actually explained everything in detail to us, give us a solid price, and didn't treat us like idiots. He showed us lots of options, explained every little detail about them, answered all of our questions, and just made us feel good about calling him. He was totally willing to work with our insurance quote, but he didn't revolve around price at all, he made it work. We knew we wanted to use Rich, but of course the insurance company was giving us the run-around so we told Rich we were most likely going to choose him (based on price, and how much we liked him) but asked him if it was okay to wait because of the insurance. He was happy to wait and he didn't change pricing or anything. When we were ready to schedule he told us to call, he'll order, give at least a week or so to get the materials and he'd be over to install. We gave him a date a month later, he told us "two days to complete" and sure enough he completed our upstairs carpet and entire (massive) basement in two days without any problems. The results were amazing, the floor looks great, the price was awesome, the team he brought were great, and he was great. Cannot recommend Rich enough. We'll be calling him for carpets in our bedrooms when that time comes.

We had made the decision to sell our home and worked hard to ready it for viewing as soon as possible. We were undecided if cleaning the carpet would be sufficient as it was approximately 10 years old and light colored. Rich responded quickly and explained the plus and minus of each option and we decided to re-carpet. Rich and team were able to do the job in a timely fashion. They arrived on time, ripped out and discarded the old, installed the new and replaced all furniture. I am happy to recommend them.

We had a great experience with Rich. He came out to our house a couple times to make sure which carpet we wanted, he had a lot of samples. The selection of rugs was much better than you can find at big box stores. He was very honest showing us the different choices with price vs quality, he didn't just try to sell us the most expensive option. As far as installation day, Rich and his crew showed right on time. They were all polite and got to work right away. They got our huge basement done in just 5 hours. He even hauled away the old carpet for us. Overall we found Rich to be a very honest and hardworking person. We plan on using him again for other rooms in our house.

Rich and crew were outstanding - super nice guys and very experienced. I called for quote and he measured the next day, installed a week later. He reused the high quality and durable felt carpet pad where we could, saved a few dollars. Rich answered his phone every time I called, responded to texts and is a very good communicator. I would use Rich again and highly recommend.

Rich was awesome. He was so flexible and caring. His guys went right to work, ripped up the carpet, packed it up and took it away. They cleaned in between so there was no crap under my new carpets. They were done within 3-4 hours and they did an amazing job. Will use Rich again for basement.

We had a very challenging flooring job in our basement. We were looking to get vinyl flooring throughout including the bathroom, which has an uneven floor, floor drain, and raised toilet. Rich and his team delivered on creating a beautiful space in our basement. The floors looks amazing! They worked tirelessly all day until the job was finished and they took great care to make sure it looked perfect. The price was amazing as well. I can?t say enough good things about Rich and his team and would recommend them to anyone!

I contacted Rich after having a less than desirable experience at Avalon Carpets. I knew from the first phone call that Rich was a true professional. He set up a convenient time to come to me and was very knowledgeable about all the different options and very fair in pricing. I wound up purchasing Smartstrand Silk and it is awesome. Rich and his crew did an excellent and efficient job with absolutely no seams show where there needed to be cuts. He definitely goes the extra mile for his customers. Would not hesitate to refer him to anyone!

I was on site for the whole installation. They arrived about 15 minutes after the opening window of 8 AM to 10 AM. Rich and his team entered the house and quickly described what they needed to do and what had to be moved. We had to do very little preparation, as Rich's provides the extra service of moving some very heavy furniture! It sure saved my back. They pulled up rolled and taped all the old carpet and padding and removed it from the house. Then they brought me upstairs to show me what they thought would be the result of this installation. The subflooring was badly stained and definitely emanated the odor of cat urine. It was mostly confined to one side of the upstairs. Using Mister clean and Pine-Sol, they scrubbed the wood, and then applied a thin layer of baking soda. I was assured that the thick pad under the carpet would likely seal in any odors. Rich was clear that 90% of the odor was in the padding and carpet, but the floor was another issue, which was honest. Looking at the floor, I could see why none of the other alternatives we had tried before eliminated the odor. He asked me to keep an eye ? or a nose I guess ? on the job after it was completed. The whole team was very polite, and asked permission to play some wailing rock 'n roll, they are sensitive to the needs of the customers. After a brief discussion about the Stone Temple Pilots, we agreed they could crank it, if it helped them work in an environment that was creative. All day long, they did not stop working until I asked them if they wanted some coffee which I insisted on because they were really working. Rich would come downstairs periodically to show me what was going on, and to keep me briefed on progress. In about 4 1/2 hours, the job was done with a beautiful Triextra carpet that was installed so cleanly and tightly I could've bounced a quarter off of it. The stairs leading to the master suite have never been so comfortable, and the slippage we had suffered with was going on. There was no evidence of a urine problem, and our upstairs looked terrific. I am writing this about a week later, because Rich asked me to wait and see if anything did escape the baking soda/padding/carpet. I can say that the whole job still looks amazing and we have smelled nothing untoward since the installation. In my opinion, Rich's Rugs are an old-fashioned noncorporate family business that deserves the support of the community. I believe we got better service, and more professionalism than you would from some outfit you see advertised on TV. The actual work completed was done by a group that took pride in their work, and went the extra mile. There was no hard-sell on anything, and I believe that for the price we paid, ,both labor and materials, we got a great deal and a superior installation. You need real craftsmen for this stuff, and they provided it

Rich and his team were absolutely fantastic! Rich was amazing at communicating! He was always available to talk and arranged his schedule to come meet with us on a Monday evening to see the house and help us choose the padding and carpet. He and his team were there exactly when they said that they would be there. They were extremely dedicated and efficient, finishing the entire job in less than five hours. The price was exactly what Rich had said it would be, and he tried to help us save money in every way that he could. The carpets are beautiful, and we think of Rich's outstanding service each time that we walk on them!

I was completely satisfied with the way Rich and his two helpers installed my carpeting. They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves and Rich went the extra mile by glueing a loose tile under the carpet threshold in my dining room and putting extra nails in a loose stair board. They moved the couch, wall unit, chair and heavy marble table and put them back without any mishaps. Rich is a very personable guy and I'm glad I chose him because of all the grade A reviews he has on Angie's List. Also, Rich was very accommodating because I live over his 30 mile radius and he was still willing to provide service. Kudos to Rich's Rugs!!

I have an old house with radiators and other challenges including narrow staircases and odd landings. The room is a kitchen dining area with ancient tongue and groove flooring that would have been massively expensive to restore. It and the staircase had old institutional style carpet and pad that was worn and dirty. I wanted to preserve the floor for a future buyer who might want to restore it but did not want to nail down a new hardwood floor or tile over it. So it was carpet. The floor is uneven, and creaks. Rich came over and spent at least two hours going over the various choices in pad and carpet, describing in detail the properties of each and providing samples I could test over the floor for comfort and sound. He was very patient in my color selection. I decided to go with a thick pad for comfort and noise suppression and a higher quality carpet for the long term. Rich gave me an idea of when to expect the installation, then called in advance to let me know the day. He and his brother showed up promptly and went to work. They were remarkably efficient in the amount of carpet they ordered. Many times there will be 20 percent excess due to odd shapes, but Rich used 99% of what he ordered, saving me money. He was also able to eliminate a seam. The thickness of the carpet and pad required the doors to be trimmed about a quarter inch, three of them. No extra cost. A downstairs door that has been slightly rubbing on the carpet he also trimmed for no extra cost. I love the look of the new carpet and the installation is impeccable. After the ratty old carpet and the beaten condition of the underlying wood floor the new carpet makes it a pleasure to walk into the room. Rich and Bill were easy to deal with, communicated everything, helped with the furniture and cleaned up everything. Rich is the owner/installer and this was a much better experience than dealing with some big box store who subs things out and forgets about you. I would gladly use Rich again for another project.

couldn't be more happy with my choice of richard to install new carpet in my kid's playroom. our basement had several challenges that required some research. richard was awesome getting answers and helping come up with the best strategy. then once we had a gameplan, he turned the carpet and my stair runners around in no time and got us on his install calendar. one of the nice perks of using richard was that he was great communicating. phone, text, email...all were answered in a responsive manner. thanks richard!

This was the first time I actually used someone from Angie's List. I've had bad luck recently with work I've had done in my home. I was very apprehensive, trying to find a carpet installer. I saw Rich's and was amazed at all the positive reviews, not one negative review. I decided to call and get an estimate. Rich, himself, called me right back. We set up an appt. and from that moment everything he did was professional and flawless. Rich brought his samples (we had already discussed the carpet color I was interested in) which were lovely. I narrowed it down to 2 or 3 and finally went with the one Rich suggested. I am so glad I did. The finished product is gorgeous. As soon as I walked into the room I knew it was just what I wanted. He and his team are professional, curtious and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them to everyone. I had asked Rich to look at my dining room wall-to-wall carpet. It needed to be stretched, to eliminate the bump which developed over the yrs. They not only fixed it for me but the process required moving my server and all the contents of my closet. They fixed the problem, vacuumed my carpet and replaced the furniture and contents of my closet. He did not charge me. He stretched the carpet for free. They bring their own vacuum cleaner. This might seem silly to you, that I even mentioned this but it was very important to me. Based on past experience, it's a pleasure to have work done in your home and not have to clean up after the professionals leave. They don't leave any trace of being there, except their exceptional work. I'm not done...when they were leaving, Rich noticed a small dresser in my living room that belonged in my bedroom. He and his brother carried it upstairs for me. It's really hard to find good help today. If it's carpets you need, don't hesitate to use this co. THEY ROCK.....Terry Thummel

This was the second time we used Rich and our experiences have been nothing short of spectacular. Rich is a very professional easy going person, responds quickly to all inquiry's and questions, and does not make you feel pressured in any situation. His prices are very reasonable and him and his crew's quality of work is fantastic. They do everything they can to reduce carpet and padding waste, and ensure everything looks perfect. Our first time using Rich's Rugs was in September of 2014 where they tore out carpet and padding and installed new carpet and padding in 2 stairways, hallway, master bedroom and basement. The work just performed was the removal of old carpet and padding in a guest bedroom and installing new carpet and padding as well as putting the carpet back in a small section of our basement where another contractor pulled it up to install a french drain. My wife and I have plans for finishing another bedroom and utility room in the future and those plans definitely include Rich's Rugs.

This was my first experience with a carpeting company. We don't have any carpeting in our home, but recently remodeled our living room and decided to do a carpet runner on the stairs. Our stairs are very narrow and steep and we were not sure how a carpet runner would look. When I initially contacted Rich, I left a message and he returned my call almost immediately. We set up an appointment and he arrived promptly with carpet samples. He spent a great deal of time with me explaining different options. He never made me feel rushed. I was looking for a very specific color so he gave me the names and locations of two flooring showrooms that I could go to in order to select my carpeting. I found exactly the color I wanted and notified Rich of my selection. He promptly ordered the carpeting for me. After about 2 weeks, the carpeting was in and he had cut it into pieces and had it bound. He cut the carpet in such a way so that we not only got the stair runner, but also a beautiful 6 x 6 bound area rug with padding and 2 throw rugs. What a deal for $600. We scheduled the installation. He confirmed our appointment the night before and also called me when he was on his way. He did a fantastic job on the installation. The stairs looks great! I am so very happy with the carpeting and his expert workmanship. Thank you so much Rich! I absolutely LOVE my carpeting.

Rich and Mike came right on time and went right to work. They were efficient in both ripping up and cleaning up afterwards. The old materials were placed on the curb in time for the trash collection. It is hard to find someone who will do rip up only , so if you need this type of service I would definitely recommend Rich as the guy to call. The cost was reasonable and when the job was done it was certainly justifiable.

It went phenomenally! Rich and his team were absolute professionals and we couldn't be happier with either the process or the completed installation. It's been about 9 months since he did the carpets and they are wearing wonderfully, the pile is just right, and the color and feel are perfect. Rich really made the process for us. Being first time home owners, we were nervous about picking the right folks for our new house and I can't praise Rich enough for the work he did. I would recommend him to anyone looking for service that goes beyond-- truly professional, friendly, and most importantly, excellent at what they do!

Everything went very well. We have an unusual staircase. There are odd pie shaped steps at the bottom and top, with a total of 15 steps. Rich recommended a great carpet vendor. Once I selected the carpet, he cut templates for each step to ensure the carpet would be a perfect fit. Then he had each piece bound. Once installed, it looks like one continuous piece.. It's fanfastic. I will definitely call Rich again!
