Rich was an awesome guy - down to earth and very attentive to my family's needs and how he could best provide it for us. He and his two helpers were quite professional. Brought samples to our house and measured.....we wanted something more than what he brought so he came back a second time with more and seemed quite happy to do so. Home Depot would've been only slightly cheaper but boy did we get great quality stuff and an amazing installation from Rich!!! He even threw in a few extras in little nooks and crannies that needed it; shaved the doors down so they wouldn't rub on the carpet and the radiators look like they were installed AFTER the carpet (impeccable!). Rich's name is in his company and he wants to be sure that the job is done to perfection. Left the extra carpet with us and promised to come back if anything was ever wrong, or coming undone or re-carpeting needed to happen later in life. Job was quick and clean up was immaculate - not one fuzz of carpet was out of place or strewn about my house.

Rich and his crew were absolutely great. We engaged him to put in a runner in our main staircase... but, calling it a stair runner doesn't do it justice. There are two curved landings, most of the stairs are of different widths, and some stairs have shaped edges. All in all, it is a very complex job. Rich did it perfectly. He came out for the initial estimate, measured carefully, and came back later on to cut out all the templates--which required separate templates for many of the stairs. The day of the install he came on time, and invested the time and care to get everything right (including great clean-up afterwards.) The attention to detail and quality of the work is just top notch. I would definitely use Rich again--he has pride in his work and it shows.

First and foremost, this is one awesome guy. This is the second time he has done a carpet installation for me and I will most definitely call him again. He is professional, down to earth and an excellent craftsman of his trade. It is very rare to find someone like Rich that is passionate about what he does. My advice to anyone that reads this...call him when you need new carpet..you will be happy that you did.

Great experience! Rich arrived on time for our estimate (on the morning of Christmas Eve). He showed us many different options and didn't rush us as we tried to make up our minds. He and his team arrived on time for the installation (on New Year's Day!). They were quick and professional. And now our basement looks great! They even did a last minute add-on, for no additional cost. We definitely recommend Rich's Rugs.

Rich was awesome. Very professional, friendly, outstanding communication. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the job, our options, the pluses and minuses of different carpets and paddings. The job went smoothly. Crew showed up on time and did great work. Our carpets turned out beautifully. Highly recommend.

Rich did an excellent job of preparing the floors for carpet and laying the carpet. He also repaired the hardwood going from the dining room to the kitchen and installed a new threshold. Carpeted in the closets - around built ins and sliding doors.

We were happy with the work Rich and his team did. The first time he came by to take measurements and show the carpet options he carefully explained everything, patiently answered all questions, and took careful measurements. He spent time writing everything down and planning out how to use the minimal amount of carpet to cover the needed area (to minimize the cost to us). He gave good advice on how to get rid of the smell in the old carpet before his team would come to lay down the new carpet. The advice ultimately worked out great. He also volunteered to pull up the old carpet that first time he came by, expressing excitement and passion for his work. He brought four other people with him to do the work of laying down the carpet. They worked quickly but neatly. At the end, they swept up after themselves, leaving everything clean. Rich went around to take a second look to make sure the work was good. He tried hard to do everything he could to make sure we were satisfied with the work.

Due to hot water tank leak and decomposition of tiles, we decided to replace entire laundry room floor. Rich was one of the companies providing an estimate. Rich's Rug's ratings and reviews were impressive. We met with him for an estimate. He spent about an hour providing informative information and measuring the room, offering options as well. He gave us samples and allowed us time to visit showrooms to see if there was anything we like outside of what he provided. This was (thankfully) not a hard sell. Because we asked him to install over existing tiles, he was concerned over clearance for the two doors. He measured this twice: once at the first meeting, and again when we signed the contract. I was impressed with his personalized concern and eye for detail. Someone else said Rich goes above and beyond. I can verify this to be true. On installation day, Rich and his crew showed up on time. Having followed his recommendations for preparing the room, they went right to work, moving cabinets and the washer and dryer out, then prepping the floor. Later, I was in another part of the house when I smelled something burning. The source was Rich. He was not happy about overlaying the old tiles and decided to remove them. This was done with no extra charge and all debris was taken away. A short time later, the floor was laid and looked wonderful. In an age when craftsmanship and personal service are rare commodities, Rich's services excelled. His reviews and ratings are well deserved. I intend to use his services again for carpeting.

He made great suggestions on what we were looking for and we followed his lead. My wife and I decided to get new carpet before the holidays to replace the 20 year old carpet that came with the home when we purchased 6 years ago. Needless to say the old carpet had seen better days and was stained and torn along the edges and at the top of the basement stairs. I joined Angie's list with the express purpose of finding a carpet provider/installer based on the user reviews. When I searched Carpet Installation I immediately noticed Rich's Rug's and the 247 positive reviews that he has gotten so far. After reading the outstanding things that were said about Rich and his company I set an appointment to meet him at our house and give us an estimate. Rich arrived and spent close to an hour with us going over exactly what it is that we wanted to have done, then provided us with many different samples to choose from based on what we told him we wanted. I very much appreciated that Rich explained right up front that he did not want to sell us something that we did not want regardless of price, and he gave us a detailed explanation of each sample and the pros and cons of each. Once we had seen all of the choices that he offered we walked through the entire house taking measurements, during which Rich drew a detailed sketch of the areas that were being carpeted and the amount it would take in square footage. This was done with the intent of using the smallest amount possible to get the job done at the lowest price, always explaining to me exactly how it would work based on the size of the roll that would be ordered and how it would be cut to minimize waste. We then went thru the total costs and were nervous as we had never had carpet replaced and had a number in mind that we wanted to spend. Let?s just say that Rich went above and beyond to give us the very best deal possible, including upgrading padding, moving our heavy furniture from the living room, and ripping and removal of the existing carpet which was neatly rolled into small sections and put out at the curb for that mornings trash removal all free of cost. I challenge anyone to find another carpet installation company that provides these services at no charge. Oh, one more thing, we are planning a future renovation of our basement and asked Rich for an estimate to re-carpet the basement stairs and for a room sized remnant. After measuring Rich gave us a very good quote for the remnant, AND for the stairs said that he has plenty of carpet left over from other jobs and would provide to us at no charge, just the cost of labor! Rich is a perfect example of a small family owned company that provides excellent service at a great price, repeatedly thanking us for the opportunity.I am happy to provide Rich?s Rugs and his staff with outstanding review # 248.

Rich was excellent from our first contact. He came to my home in the evening with the typical sample boards, but after assessing what I wanted and taking all the measurements, he wanted to bring me additional ideas. He went out of his way to get additional board samples which he dropped off the next day. Rich has numerous ideas and examples from other installations he had done, which allowed me to make an informed decision. He outlined the cost/benefit of padding, carpet types, and installation. He recommended calling my township refuse removal which is a lower fee than what he would charge to dispose of the old carpet. Throughout the ordering process Rich stayed in touch in terms of scheduling. On installation day, he and his team were outstanding. They were professional in their work, but also brought an upbeat and positive attitude to their work. The job was more involved than originally thought (hallway steps were a bear), but they stayed late to ensure the job was finished with the utmost quality. They cleaned up all the work areas thoroughly. Overall the experience from the first meeting through the installation process was outstanding. I would use Rich again and will recommend him to anyone looking for carpeting.

I used Rich because of his reviews and I was not disappointed. He was awesome. I left him a message in the morning and he got back to me later in the day. He was actually able to come out the same day since he had time. We were on the boarder of his service area and it was not a huge job. I told him that if it wasn't worth his time to come out I would understand. He quickly replied that every customer is worth his time no matter the job. While doing the job Rich pointed out everything he was doing and helped me learn more about how to care for my home. He was very passionate about his work.

I called Rich because of his solid reviews on Angie's List. I wasn't disappointed. Rich was responsive and accommodating. He came out to the home within 24 hours of my calling him. He brought lots of samples but was also happy to custom order a particular vinyl I wanted for the kitchen. He listened carefully to what I wanted, made some good suggestions about the job, and asked a few questions I hadn't even considered. He offered several money-saving ideas up for consideration. Rich clearly had the customer's best interests at heart and made it very clear he wanted an excellent outcome. We agreed on materials, two of which were special order, and I had verbal quote before he left. I received a written estimate that evening and told him to proceed. He was able to install less than a week later. He and his guys worked nearly the whole day but got the entire job done. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't damage any of the newly painted walls/doors. I would gladly re-hire Rich for anything from low-end rental property to my own master bedroom. Highly recommended.

Arrived on time and went right to work. Moved furniture and removed bedroom doors to enable installation. Put furniture back in place and rehung doors. Carpeted and capped stairs. Cleaned up and wrapped up old carpeting for disposal. Rich expressed thanks for selecting him for the job. This was second time that I hired him and can highly recommend him.

It went well. Rich travelled a fair distance to my home and was prompt and professional. He multiple choices for basement and several for kitchen flooring. My kitchen is somewhat difficult. His price was on the high end, but still appropriate. He was extremely pleasant and professional. He followed up appropriately - professional but not aggressive. I ultimately went with a provider who was more local simply because it was easier to get samples of product to look at in my kitchen. I would definitely consider using Rich when I replace my 2nd floor carpeting. Overall excellent experience.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with Rich! From our first phone conversation with him it was obvious that is an expert in his field, honest, and genuinely concerned with his customers satisfaction. Although it was quite a distance for him, he came to our home with samples and explained in detail the different options and price differences. He never pressured us to choose a more expensive option over a lesser one. He took meticulous measurements, and planned how each room would be installed so that we weren't paying for extra carpet that would be wasted. The installation went smoothly - the carpets look beautiful, and feel amazing! We highly recommend Rich, and will be passing his info along to our family and friends!

Rich is FANTASTIC. We moved from another state and we were trying to get a lot of work done to our new house prior to moving. We had a lot of moving pieces and Rich was always friendly and accommodating to our schedule. He came out first in January to measure the space, show us samples, give us a quote, and schedule an April installation. I picked out carpet at that time, but then asked him to come back out in March because I was second guessing my choice. Rich came out with more samples and helped me select a carpeting for my children's bedrooms, and then a complimentary carpet for the master bedroom. We had a very small window of time in which the carpeting could be installed and Rich handled this with no problem. On the day of installation, Rich and his crew came out and were very efficient. They worked quickly, created almost no mess, and bundled the old carpet for easy disposal. Now, it is almost 4 months since installation, and we absolutely love the carpeting. Furthermore, as we take friends and family on the tour of our new home, almost everyone mentions the carpeting--how nice it looks, how soft it is, etc, etc. As a side note, I was very impressed with Rich's ability to measure the space and have very little excess carpeting. Moreover, the seams are not noticeable at all.

WHEN I CHOSE EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, THE WHOLE STAIRCASE,WITH A PLUSH FIT WAS ONLY $ 600.00. THE HUGE RUG IN THE MASTER BEDROOM WITH CUSTOM TRIM WAS ONLY $2000.00 FOR MOST PLUSH,DEVINE COLOR CARPETING ! THE DEAR MAN ALSO CARPETED TWO WALK IN CLOSETS AND PROVIDED A RUNNER THAT SEPARATED THE TWO CLOSETS PLUS LEAVING ME WITH A NICE BIG PIECE..FOR NO EXTRA MONEY ,JUST IN CASE ! JUST TO HAVE SOMEONE WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE AND INTEGRITY SPEND HOURS WITH YOU NO PRESSURE,IS A RARE THING TODAY AND SUCH A PLEASURE. TO SAY HES NICE GUY,HARDLY DESCRIBES RICH.
