The owner called us accusing us of not paying the bills. Turns out that they were sending the bills to the wrong address. He was really rude. Two years ago, we changed our front window which has a device connected to our security system. One of their employees came out and also emailed us to say that there's something wrong with the system. They said we are not connected with them for approximately two years and that our contract does not include monthly monitoring. They told us that they tried to call us to tell us that there's something wrong with the system, I asked for proof but they could not show us anything. Horrible company. I just want a refund.

Dan was very helpful in address our questions and providing solutions that would meet our needs. He even went as far as providing us with alternative solutions with outside vendors that could better address our situation. I was very impressed with his knowledge and quick response to our emails. Would highly recommend him and his company.

Dan was excellent to deal with on the Sales piece and Andrew was awesome with the install. The level of comfort we feel with the new security system is tremendous. Many thanks to Omega.

The job went great! I had four cameras installed outside the house to cover all four corners of the house including doorways. I love this company, it is a small, family-owned business, so I get personal attention, but they are also big enough that all aspects of the job are covered competently. The service workers are very nice and helpful and go out of their way to give great customer service. The receptionists are also very nice and helpful. I was given a tutorial on how to use the new services, and they even installed the camera viewing apps on my smart phone and computer!

One of the most responsive contractors! Came out right away to conduct appraisal and sent proposal within a few days. Completed work was within budget stated. Dan Renn from the sales office was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable, helpful, professional and very responsive. Other office staff members were also very friendly, helpful when we phoned the office. The camera system was installed in the timeframe outlined (2 days). Installers were friendly, very neat focused, hard-working and most important, they were very competent. When we called to have one small thing changed, they came out within the week. The cameras have been working great over the last three months and the equipment they use seems to be of very good quality. The price was very fair relative to other estimates we received. There were 2 estimates that were much higher for comparable scope of work. Overall we are very pleased!

They were timely, professional, and prompt with service. Price is great for the service overall, and they have come quick to address (small) problems!

They look promising but I wasn't willing to spend that much. I think it wasn't worth it.

I love this company! I have been using them since 2008 and I am still completely satisfied with the company. They are a local and family owned company, yet they have all the up-to-date options and can completely customize your system to meet your exact needs. The receptionists are very nice and helpful. Scheduling a tech visit was very easy. The tech was on time and very competent and knowledgeable. The product is excellent and so easy to use. Plus, they have a tech available on-call 24 hours a day/seven days a week if needed.

Dan was very helpful and attentive. Customer service was great when we had a problem, and they worked to help us out quickly and wanted to make sure things were taken care of. Thanks guys!

We've been really happy with Omega. I like that it's a family-owned company and not some faceless organization where you can't get anyone on the phone. The people there are responsive and helpful, and everyone I have dealt with there has been super nice.

Contacted Omega security priot to settlement to set up an appointment to discuss replacing the existing older system in my new home. Met with Gary Renn the day after settlement and went over what I wanted. Gary arrived on time, was very pleasant, knowledgable and professional. He went through the house observing what was already in place and listening to what I wanted. I was not comfortable using just the glass breakage sensors on the first floor so I asked that all 16 windows be wired to the system. We set a date for installation and Gary and Greg, the installer arrived on time. Gary went over what was to be done and Greg went about replacing one motion detector, two key pads, an old smoke detector and installing wireless sensors on all of the windows. They were able to use the existing glass breakage sensors. A daunting job but he did it without any problems. He also removed the old stickers and cleaned up after the installation. I was very pleased with the initial meeting, the staff (including the office staff), the price and the installation . I would definitely use Omega Security again.

I like their company because they are very responsive to questions, extremely costumer oriented and they think proactively about security. they bought things I didn't, there are things that we are going to buy that will cost us more, they actually advice to get it and explains why. The sales person and the installer are both knowledgeable and even I have used them and updated things on the alarm, they respond in less than 4 hours for any query.

Daniel was great. He gave me all the options for my house, even talking me out of things that were not really necessary! The installation went smoothly and I would recommend them to anyone!

We are very satisfied with our experience, from start to finish. We got quotes from this company (smaller, family owned - recommended to us by a co-worker, who had many good things to say, and also has high ratings on Angie's list) and one other (large national company, which is A+ rated on Angie's list, by many more people) and chose this one for several reasons. One of the primary reasons was the individualized attention. Dan came to our home and spent time going through our house, making recommendations and thoroughly explaining everything. We felt confident that we were getting exactly what we needed. With the national company, everything was done over the phone/on-line - it was over within 15 minutes (whereas Dan spent at least an hour going through our home). We didn't like that the national company's recommendations for what equipment to install was only based on what we told them about our house. For example, Dan recommended 2 glass break sensors for our downstairs, whereas the national company only recommended one; this was based on the national company not being able to see the actual size and layout of our home and we probably gave them inaccurate information (we're not security experts, after all). Also, he recommended window sensors for 2 windows upstairs, which would be easily accessible via the roof over our garage; the national company asked nothing about our upstairs. The national company also employed some high pressure sales tactics, calling and emailing at least 3 times after the initial phone conversation. There was no such experience with Omega. While the installation by Omega was about 3 times as much as we were quoted by the national company (although we did get more equipment via Omega, so that played a role to some degree), in the long run, we will save money. Omega has a package where you pay more up front for the installation, but then the monthly monitoring cost is only $20. And that price never changes! Dan told us they have long-time customers that still only pay like $11 per month. So after about 2 years, we will make up the increased initial cost and then really start saving money (quote from national company was $45-50 per month for monitoring). Also, Omega provides a longer warranty for their products, which could also save money, if equipment problems arise. Installation went great. We had a nice man come over and install everything. Omega supposedly uses their own people, not subcontractors, which is comforting. Overall, we are very happy with everything and would highly recommend this company.

Called a couple different alarm companies to give us a quote on a home security and camera system at our new house. Dan Renn came out and spent over 2 hours answering all our questions and explaining our different options. They were more expensive than our other quote (from a national alarm company), but we liked that Omega is a family run business, and the responses to follow up questions to Dan were answered within minutes. Their monitoring prices were actually less than the national company for the plan we chose. On the day of installation, Dan himself came out with 2 technicians and they spent the day installing everything. We had a problem with one of the sensors and they sent someone out right away and they solved the problem. We have accidentally set off the alarm a few times and they responded within 15 seconds! On Monday during Hurricane Sandy, I started to wonder about the power going out and how that would affect the alarm system. I emailed Dan with the questions and even during that crazy day, I had an answer back within 10 minutes...now THAT'S service. I would highly recommend their company!!!

They were good except that they subcontracted the electrical work to a guy that was loser. If I have to use them I will use them in the future expect that I will use my own electrician.

This is one of the best companies that I deal with. They are the perfect size, not too small and not too big and a local company. Someone seems to be always available for technical support. Installer wasn ontime, along with Dan.the owners. I am very pleased with the owner and his integrity regarding the products and services the company provides. Omega is able to completely customize the system to suit any and all needs. Mpost bigger companies just sell you a package deal with less equipment and options. So far, a very positive experience with Omega.

Overall, very responsive. I would recommend Omega to anyone. Other companies were high pressure and unprofessional. They wanted us to sign a contract the night they came over and were angry when we said we wanted to think about it.

He walked through the house with me and explained what I should be on the lookout for when choosing another company -- he even made some suggestions of who to try! When I purchase my first home, I am definitely going back to Omega!

All the individuals I talked to were great. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, & pleasant. Dan, who came out to give the estimate was extremely helpful. He was professional & thorough & provided a lot of information that helped us make our decision. We would have definitely gone with this company but their monitoring fee for what we needed was higher than what we found elsewhere. But, we would have gone with this company if not for that. Dan could not have been more helpful. He helped answer questions not only about their system, and their services, but questions about systems/alarms in general that helped us with our decision.

Excellent. They responded to my request on Angie's List 10 minutes after it was sent. They gave me two different package options and discussed how to improve the security of my system. The installation was scheduled the same week as the contract was signed. The sales rep and installer both came to my home the day of installation and confirmed the work to be completed and all equipment locations. The installer was very professional and conscientious. He cleaned up after himself, leaving my house the way he found it. He spent time showing me how to use the system and answering questions. I received a good follow-up from sales after the installation asking for feedback and any other questions I might have. The system is working well and is much better than the one I had before. I am very pleased with Omega and would highly recommend them.

Omega installed our system and has been monitoring it for the last 5 years. We are very happy with their service and the cost for monthly monitoring can't be beat. Gary, the owner, is wonderful. He is a very down to earth guy, and will suggest all sorts of options to work with your budget. His office staff is friendly and responsive. We have set the system off by accident a few times and within seconds have gotten a call from the monitoring company! Omega recently upgraded part of our system after we had new windows installed throughout the house, and the window installers accidentally cut wires to the system. Gary came out personally to assess the problem and recommend a great fix. We have every confidence in recommending Omega to anyone that needs a top-notch alarm.

The receptionists in the office are great and know me by name. John, the installer, is excellent at what he does. Gary, the owner, is a no-nonsense guy, and is readily available during business hours. Someone else is always available, even after hours, via pager to a technician. The keypad is so simple, I love it. There is a setting for when I'm home, and a separate setting for when I'm away/asleep. I can program extra codes for specific days and times for other people who need to enter and exit the house, such as a cleaning service, pet sitting service, mother-in-law, etc. The central station that Omega uses is very good as well, there is always a person at the other end of the phone.
