Gutter Doctor

I've been happy with how Gutter Doctor has cleaned my roof, which they did most of the last seven years. This year things did not go as well at first, but they made it right in the end. I scheduled them in early November, once the leaves finally fell. Unbeknownst to me, a tree branch subsequently broke off, blocking access to the two rear gutters. On November 19, their workers visited, but left behind the leaves in the gutters. They also left an invoice for $149, with no mention of a problem finishing the job, and no one called me about it afterwards, either. I should have contacted them immediately, but was preoccupied with clearing the tree branch. I figured I'd ask Gutter Doctor to return once it was out of the way. This was a mistake, because I am still waiting for a different contractor to deal with the tree. On December 31, Paul from Gutter Doctor contacted me to pay the bill. I agreed to pay, but asked if they would consider clearing the front gutter, since that is unaffected by the fallen branch. On January 2, I spoke with Lisa at the office, and she dispatched the crew. Today they cleared the front gutter, and tell me they checked and/or cleared a fourth gutter that is not visible from below. I am now happy with the outcome, and mailed my payment. Other reviewers mentioned that Gutter Doctor normally makes a phone call to ensure that the work was done. his experience showed me how important that step is.

I always get great service from the Gutter Doctors

I was not home when they came, but they called me the following day to inform me that they had done their job. They left me an invoice in my front door, so not a big deal if you can't be home. Brandon called me from Gutter Doctor, and if I had any problems to let them know. I am certain if I have any situations I will came them right away, such as gutter blockage, etc.

I had hired this company in the past to perform gutter work and had a good experience. This time around I called for a more simple job, re-attach a downspout. I called early on a Friday morning and was told, "someone would be out in the next couple days." A week later (7 days) someone showed up unannounced and attached it. Upon arriving home from work I was actually impressed that they were able to manage the job with my wife's car in the driveway directly below where the downspout was to be installed. Then I noticed the broken side mirror on the car. I usually don't write negative reviews but in this case, I feel better communication could have prevented some unnecessary damage and kept me a happy customer.

Gutter dr. Got the job done in a Timely manner but that's the only good thing I can say. Have half round gutter and call around till I found someone that could do seamless half round ( per their sells man Carmen) payed seamless price but then got pieced together gutters with gaps and leaks everywhere. In the mean time I never got a bill so I called and asked why and found they sent it The address the work was done at not to my home I gave him the correct address to send me the bill. Then got a call back from the owner yelling at me that he wanted a check immediately and I had to take time off of work for him to come get it. They don't pay their employees overtime and he doesn't work past four. Then try to get them to fix the problems was like pulling teeth. The salesman decided to design it one way and swore it would work instead of doing it the way it was originally when it didn't work I told them to replace it and they told me I would have to pay for it I told them if that was the case I'd repair it myself and send them the bill. They then came out and did the work and try to bill me for it after I told them not to then Mark the guy who yelled at me the first time called me threatening to sue me even though I said I did not want to Done if there would be a bill. This is one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with and I'm a landlord and campground owner so I deal with a lot of contractors weekly.

Gutter Doctor came within 24 hours of my call. Miguel and Scott did a very professional job and thoroughly cleaned my gutters that hadn't been touched in years! They were efficient and thorough. I would highly recommend them. And the price was extremely reasonable.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DISHONEST OWNER, POOR QUALITY, UNPROFESSIONAL, CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Did not properly measure the roof and their estimate was too low. Their mistake was discovered before work began, so they had to give a new estimate. Cost of work doubled once they tore the shingles off the roof. Did not put tarps down to protect the attic and allowed shards of wood and nails to fall into the entire attic, into the vents, the gutters, and onto the second floor of my home. The foreman returned several times to clean up the debris in the attic, but a substantial amount remains and everytime I pull a box down from the attic there is dirt and debris and nails inside. Many of my possessions (such as a CD player and speakers) were damaged beyond repair. Hammered one of the roof supports through the second floor ceiling. Numerous nail pops. They sent a painter two seperate times to repair the damage, but the painter would spackle and not paint, or fix one nail pop and not the one a few inches away from it. Littered the yard and parking lot with debris, wood shards and nails. I made three complaints, and after each the foreman or owner came to the house but failed to fully clean up. The owner then accused me of planting nails in the yard. I hired another roofer to clean up. He cleaned up an entire full size trash can of roof debris in one hour. I requested an itemized list of their materials and costs to give to my insurance company, and they were unable to provide it, and when they finally did, it was incomplete and incorrect. Ultimately, they were unable to account for how much they used in materials. When I refused to make the final payment, the owner called me and threatened me and screamed at me for several minutes. I hired a roofind inspector who concluded that the roof met neither the shingle manufacturer's standards nor was it up to acceptable roofing standards. Although the roof past inspection (inspection only being that the right plywood was used in the right area), the township inspector said the roof was very poorly constructed. There was substantial exposed plywood, shingles incorrectly laid and nailed, and missing plywood is other areas. There were places where you could see daylight through the roof. The roof leaked horribly and caused substantial damage to the interior of my home. I had to hire another roofer to repair the damage.

Had to have them come back a second time to finish job properly

Not completely sure but I assume it went well as I was not at home when the job was done. I called the company the previous day and I believe I spoke to Marc who scheduled the job the next day. He informed me that his company was highly rated by Angie's List to which I responded that I too am a subscriber of Angie's List and the main reason for calling. Upon learning this , he gave me a discount of 10%. This was nice since I did not ask for one. As mentioned above, the job was done when nobody was at home. A couple of observations that the provider should be aware of. One of my bushes was trampled upon and there was some debris on the lawn that I had to clean up. There was a follow-up call to let me know that the job was done. Again, this was nice.

Initially I contacted this provider for an estimate. They arranged to come out, but then ended up opting to provide an estimate over the phone. I explained that I had to be home for the work, because the backyard was only accessible through my house. (The alley gates behind my row home are locked at all times.) They told me they would be out the next day, Friday. I called the next day asking when I should expect them, and the scheduler had no knowledge of my appt. She said could schedule them to come the following Tuesday. I called Monday morning to find out what time to expect them on Tuesday. The person who answered that day said they couldn't provide an estimate of time and that it would be "sometime in the next couple of days." When explaining AGAIN that I needed to be present for the work, they finally committed to a slot on Wednesday morning. I felt I was getting the run around. They actually arrived on Wednesday within the committed time window. However they didn't have the right sizes with them. We waited an hour for the correct parts to arrive. One of the guys smoked several cigarettes.on my back patio without asking. The space is small and the doors don't seal well, so the smell came into the house. Ick. As for the quality of the work, I'm waiting until the next major rainfall to judge.

The actual technician that came out was helpful. He got the gutter work done. The only kind of technical thing I had with them was basically calling in. I guess their secretary is not exactly all that good or knowledgeable.

I would give them perfect rating. They came when they were supposed to. They charged me what they said they were going to charge. They did the work completely and competently and were on their way. You don't even have to be home for them to come.

I needed to get an idea of what it would cost so I can budget for it. They have done a lot of work in my neighborhood and everyone seems to be happy with them. I will definitely call them when I am ready to do my roof. The product and warranty are excellent. The salesman, Jo, was extremely knowledgeable and professional.

I HATE doing this. . . putting in a bad review but I have to be honest. Wayne performed the estimate and I agreed to have the work done, at that point he said he would have someone call to get me on the schedule. He explained that a rainy day would not work, which I understood. However I never heard from him again until I called on 1/20. He returned my call timely, I expressed my concerns related to the gutter with the impending snow (I work in the health care field and jokingly said, good thing your not an emergency gutter doctor.). Wayne said, "I will be out tomorrow morning (1/21) about 8 or 9am before the snow.": I was thrilled and feeling relieved that the gutter would be repaired prior to the significant amount of snow expected. When I arrived home 1/21 the gutter was still hanging off my house and I didn't receive a call or have a message that the work would not be completed as agreed. I am very disappointed that I put off other gutter guys after speaking with Wayne. I really just wanted my gutter fixed as agreed and would not be posting this if they called to explain why they were not coming 1/21. Very disappointed.

Rain water comes through spouts instead of falling off roof. Good job guys!

His estinates were more than double what competitors quoted using the same aluminum thickness, 3/4 down spouts and Alcoa guards.

Everything was done as promised

The owner is a very nice, personable guy as his the associate he had with him. They were prompt and after finishing their cleaning, there was a noticeable improvement in the gutter drainage; any overflow was eliminated.

They actually arrived a little early so I was able to meet them before leaving. They were friendly and courteous.

Gutter Doctors responded to my request for an appointment immediately. There was no wait time at all. They came the very next day and did what was asked. They also did a good job cleaning up the area after they cleaned the gutters.

They did not do a very good job. Scheduling with them was fine and they were able to accommodate my needs. This was my first time using their service and I was not impressed.

They keep calling to schedule appt. Perhaps I get at least 8 messages per year. We have used them to clean only the front gutter and they charged $50. So we used them at least once if not twice a year. Then one year they said they could not come out for just the front gutter. They did both gutters for about $100. Now this year they are charging $129.but when I spoke with them they said they would give me a lower price. Why can't they just be fairly priced and not give different prices to different people. It seems to depend on who you talk to anout what they do and for what price. I'm continuing to look around for reasonable rate for a loyal customer.

All work was completed in a timely manner (Same day as call!). No work materials left behind. Excellent work! Highly Recommend!

I contracted Gutter Doctor to clean my gutters and provide a quote for a gutter covering system. The woman I scheduled with was friendly, and pleasant .They came out within a few days. However, they left both my gates open, (dog got out) did not put the hose back, and left some debris in the yard (not much, but still some) I never got a price from them for the gutter cover system. They were overly demanding on sending out the payment, and never asked if I was satisfied. To be fair I did not ask for the price on the covering because I would not hire them to do the work.
