Description of Work: Full house washing (expanded colonial) and gutter cleaning. |Excellent result!!

Description of Work: I used this provider to refinish my cedar deck 4 times over the past 4 years. Every other year he did a complete chemical and power wash down to the bare wood and refinish charging about $800 for the job. On the odd years he did a top refinish and charged me $400 for that. This year was to be a top refinish. He came and worked for about one hour doing a very cursory job of cleaning and a helper came to the door and asked me for $300 since they needed supplies. I paid the $300 and did not hear from them for over a week. The cleaning looked terrible when it dried and I called to complain. I left several messages for Gary, who I assumed was the owner and who had always been my contact. I received no response. I finally reached the helper who said that the price would be $800 to complete the job. I told him that the job this year was just the top refinish and he must finish the work as agreed. He then returned to stain the deck when I was not home and left a bill for the "amount due" of $500. I sent a check for the true balance of $100, and left more several messages for Gary, the owner, about my displeasure with the poor work done and the price gouging. He never called me back to discuss anything and the helper called several times to threaten legal action for the balance he felt was due. I don't know who owns this company but this experience was pure nonsense and totally unprofessional. My deck will need a complete professional job next year to make it look presentable.
