BUYER BEWARE: Do NOT deal with this company because if issue occurs, they won't stick by their work! They will point the finger at everyone else, including you the consumer, not taking responsibility for the damage their work or installation mishap caused! Our carpets and floors are ruined and need to be replaced! A week after this nightmare started, I finally get the owner to come and see the damage himself, which was finally agreed to after many, many tears, at which time I'm told "if I listened to every claim my consumers made, I'd be out of business" Um, what?!? Three days earlier, damage and issue still unseen, I'm made an offer to have another piece of equipment installed, which I'm told would have prevented the issue in the first place. When they finally came to the house, though, they say "uh no, the installer was right, you don't need one." But oh yeah, this was before they accused me of declining the install of this piece of equipment I was never even offered! A small testament at least to the installer there because an expansion tank in my home, with my system, would be pointless! Once that was pushed aside, finger pointed at the water company - Christian says "your pressure is too high from the street, you need a pressure relief valve, blah blah blah." Newtown Water company comes out at no cost and determines all of that is not true. Based on the supposed pressure reading Christian got during their half-assed emergency visit the day we found the leak, the water company said "if those readings were right, we'd have a pipe bursting in the street." Followed by their finding concern with the overall install as a whole. OK, so were at a point where consumer negligence is off the table, water company off the table... Next... Bradford White - the water tank company; Christian: "their tank must be bad, it's got to be them" Back and forth and back and forth... Christian: "we got you a new tank, we're wonderful, blah blah blah" Once again, Um no! Because the very night of your re-install guess who finds another leak the very next morning! Yep we do and do you want to know why?!? Because they moved a hose that goes with our water softener and never put it back in right, when the water softener ran a cycle during the night, the hose not being re-installed correctly caused water to spill all over the utility room floor, seeping again through to our wood floors and carpet on the other side of the utility room walls. The emergency tech had found and stated issue with the initial install because that hose was put back in with electrical tape... err, what? Electrical tape on a hose from a water-softening system?!? Ever heard of a zip-tie maybe. I'm told it's not the salt system, no worries there. Well after leak #2, I get the water softening company to come out and they adjusted the hose to where it was pre-new hot water heater; the very hose I said was the issue in the first place which Christian vehemently denied.

The AC system was running sporadically; it is a one year old system installed by another company - there has been a constant stream of problems for over a year now. The tech from Christian HVAC showed me why the wiring was messed up, fixed it and made great recommendations on how to get the system in perfect working order.

Our sales person Mark came out on the first day I called for a free estimate. I previously wrote a review for Christian heating & A/C stating we were not moving forward because our system temporarily functioned after two years of failure. We decided to have our entire A/C, heater, ducts and air humidifier replaced. Christian is on Angie's List but does not list discounts. You don't need a coupon with them. The deal they offered was cheaper than all others on Angie's List and is a far superior energy efficient system with a $350 rebate from PECO. The work was/is outstanding. The installers were great and I'm 100% confident I now have a system that will last a minimum of 20+ years. Most important factor in getting this type of work done is NOT price but the integrity of the installers. I would recommend Christian Heating & A/C to all friends and family. Don't make a mistake and hire someone based on price - you'll end up paying more in the long run coupled with a financial mess.

Service call placed and technicians came within 24 hours, however would have come sooner, but we were not available. Technician extremely professional and clean...wore booties, took out his own trash and declined to sit on our sofa, even though we offered, stating "thank you but I've been crawling on floors all day and am pretty dirty." He was very honest and gave us appropriate recommendations in that we needed a new unit, he measured for a new unit and representative called the next day to follow up. Highly recommended!

In December 2012 the came in and converted us from oil heat to electrical heat pump. We have been under a service contract since then but it has been great. It saved us money.

From the initial call to the office through the installation process, the experience with Christian was top-notch. Mark, our HVAC specialist, was very professional and attentive as he worked with us to chose our new system and schedule the installation. He was in contact with us throughout the process, even being there on the day of installation. The installers, Ed and Dan, were also very professional. They installed the new indoor and outdoor units, humidifier, and thermostat under the time estimated, gave an orientation to the new system and controls, and left our home without a trace of the installation, other than a brand new, highly efficient heating system. I would highly recommend Christian.

My heater died of course on the coldest day of the year. I called Christian at 7:30 pm and within one hour someone called me. The next day, a tech came out to determine the problem. Since the heater was 14 years old and had been services 3 times in one year, i decided to inrtall a new one. A sales rep came out that night to discuss my options and the next day the heater was in. Everyone I encountered was personable, professional and knowlegable. I was extremely impressed with the fast service especially because another contractor had been out to service my heater, was supposed to call me with a price and never called back and didn't return my repeated phone calls. As far as the price goes, I felt that they were a bit high but the fast and professional service more than made up for it. One advantage in going with a larger company is that they have the technicians who can provide fast service, the materials are available (you don't have to wait for days), and they call you back

They have been wonderful. They have been back several times checking and adjusting my unit. They also installed a cover on our pull down door to our attic to seal out any cold air at no charge. I readily give them my approval.

Excellent work. Understood problem and resolved problem. Nice people.

UPDATE: This is an update to the review dated 2/7/2014. Christian Heating finally turned its phones over to its answering service, which promptly delivered our renewed request for repair help to the Christian Heating team. We received a return call from an employee using her personal cell phone within the hour (along with an explanation that their phones have been out and they have been experiencing a power outage), and a service technician was at our home within 2 hours and successfully completed the repair. Accordingly, I've updated my overall ratings of the company. As mentioned in my earlier review, we have been very satisfied with Christian Heating's professionalism and work product over a nearly 13 year period, and once we could make contact with Christian Heating, this experience was consistent with our historical experience. Christian Heating should consider the fact that, especially when there are broad regional impacts from a storm, customers rely on companies like Christian Heating to respond quickly to loss of heat in their homes. Not answering company phones (e.g., by re-routing numbers to working phones) or otherwise informing customers to set expectations that the company is unable to respond temporarily (e.g., via their website or answering service) is a major customer service issue. For these reasons, I have kept the grades for professionalism, punctuality and responsiveness at a "B" overall. Absent this issue, I would have given Christian Heating an "A" in every category. Hopefully Christian Heating can use this opportunity to consider how to manage challenging logistical situations like this better in the future.

They came out early the following day and diagnosed the problem as a failed igniter. They replaced it during the same visit and the heater has worked fine since then.

I had them to my home to diagnose my heating and air unit and they were at my home for 2-3 hours. He told me that there was a blockage and I needed a new part that would cost $500. I called another company for a second opinion, and they were able to diagnose the problem for me over the phone. I fixed it myself, and saved myself the $500 Christian was going to charge me! I have marked the price as n/a because I really dont know the going rate on parts, but I thought it was high.

I called Christian Heating and plumbing for a second opinion because I was told by another heating contractor that my heating exchange was cracked and needed replacement. I didn't believe them for various reasons I won't go into but this is one of the biggest scam items and it is extremely costly. They came out right of way after I called and explained the situation and checked over my furnace and found no problem whatsoever with the heating exchange! They saved me a lot of money. The person who came was very nice, explained everything and assured me that there wasn't a thing wrong with it. I will use them again for all of my service calls.

Service tech was professional and informative/knowledgeable. Services were provided as discussed prior on the phone. When I called Christian HVAC with a follow up question I received a prompt response. I will be using their services again.

They are just a great company to deal with. Their technicians are awesome, the operator that you talk to, and everything about them. I have no complaints. They are a very good, reputable, and knowledgeable company to work with. I recommend them.

The two employees showed up on time, immediately introduced themselves and showed me their photo IDs. They wore booties into the house to keep everything clean. They were both very friendly and gave me a straightforward evaluation of the AC in our house without pushing for expensive services. The previous owners of our house used these guys, and we will continue to as well.

He installed our system five years ago and we've used them since then. Christian Heating & Air Conditioning is responsive, if we have an issue like we had something went wrong during the Winter and it just so happened they were in the area. I called and 20 minutes later they were knocking at my door. The pricing was reasonable, it was what you would expect to pay. They call 30 minutes ahead of time to make sure that we're home and we know that they're coming.

Service men showed up half hour early and were very pleasant. They explained what will be done and welcomed any questions and offered me to inspect what they were doing at anytime. They took great pride in making sure floors were covered. They were very clean and professional. Upon completion of the work they showed me pictures of what was done and explained clearly what was completed. 2 fellow North catholic alumni I would expect any less.

They are punctual, respectful and got the job done

My husband and I contacted this company to diagnosis a problem with our son's air-conditioner. It is a ductless unit installed by the previous owner of his house. The fee for a technician to come out initially was $99. He was a few hours later than the original time scheduled but he kept updating us to let us know what time he would arrive. It was determined that the unit needed a new part even though it was only four years old. My husband then asked to have someone from Christian Brothers come out and give my son an estimate for a new air conditioning system (not ductless). After receiving an estimate of $11,000 and deciding there would be too much upheavel in the household (three children including an infant) to have this done, my son decided on getting the unit fixed. Chrisitan Brothers called the company that made the unit (a Japanese company), explained the problem, found out what needed to be ordered to complete the job and explained to them that the unit was only four years old. By doing this, it saved my son money since it was still under partial warranty. The technician who returned to fix the unit was very professional and extremely polite. Even though it was pouring rain the day he came out, he set up a tent over the unit and went to work. A few years prior to this service call Christian Brothers fixed a minor problem with my son's air-conditioner in his previous house in Warwick, PA. My son also had this company inspect the heater before buying his current home. Would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future. My husband is a retired steamfitter (heating and air-conditioning) and was very impressed.

I am very happy with them. They are very prompt and very responsive. During the winter we had a heating problem and they came right out. I would recommend them. The price is probably a little high.

The technicians were clean and professional. They did a great job.

They were fantastic. The guys showed up when they said they were going to do it and at the end of the day we had air conditioning.

Our central A/C stopped working in the middle of a heat wave. I called around to several local HVAC companies and Christian was the only one to say they could come out within a day. When I called I was not sure if the system could be fixed, or if it needed to be replaced completely - the system was installed in the house in 1976. The repairman was prompt and professional, explaining everything he planned to do. Fortunately he was able to get the system up and running again. He did suggest replacing the system as an option and connected me with the sales department, but there was absolutely no pressure. I appreciate their honesty - it would have been very easy to say that the system was beyond repair. The system will eventually need to be replaced, and I will call Christian first when that time comes.

Christian Heating & Air Conditioning were excellent. They were friendly and very respectful of their home. They wore their booties on our wood floor. They were very down to earth. They met their guidelines on time and did a very good job. We compared their prices with other companies and they were great.
