We recently contracted with Leghart Brothers to refinish our hardwood floors. From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with the owners. They are patient, knowledgeable and their staff is on time and very respectful. Our floors look amazing, and we could not be more pleased with the workmanship. Eric came and gave us a detailed estimate. Arranged movers to remove furniture from living and dining room and then had movers come back to replace furniture. The workers came as scheduled and did an excellent job. They constantly explained what they were doing. They cleaned up all the old carpet. Very pleased with the work.

Eric, Gerry, and their workers were very professional and answered all my questions promptly while walking me through the process. The work was top quality ($4/sq foot natural finish;$6/sq foot stained) and completely transformed my recently purchased home, money well spent. I will be recommending to anyone looking to get work done on their floors.

The Owner (Eric) came personally to give me a estimate and went over every detail and answered all questions. Once booked he kept in contact with me to make sure that everything was ready to go on the agreed date. The crew showed up right on time on the scheduled day and did a walk through with me to ensure that they were on the same sheet of music that I was on and would complete all work agreed to in the contract. The work went quickly and of the highest quality going over the work completed each day and answering any questions that we had. After the last coat of polyurethane was applied we were instructed not to walk on it for 48 hours and after the 48 hours we went up to look at the final product. The floors turned out absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail on the corners, under the radiators, the steps, and the clean-up were second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering refinishing hardwood floors. The increase value of my house compared to the price that I paid for the job is unbelievable. The floors are amazing. They also replaced a threshold. The workmen were very respectful and very good at explaining the process and options i.e. staining vs natural. I chose staining. Cost was $4.00 / sq. ft for natural finish and $6.00 / sq ft for stain. That included sanding and finishing with three coats of polyurethane.

A very professional job refinishing the hardwood floors in our 1930s house. The floors had been under carpet since at least the 1960s. The details of the job were thoroughly explained up front, and we were able to see a few stain options on our floors and chose the one we liked the best. Job was finished on time with high quality and attention to detail.

I would highly recommend Leghart Brothers. We hired them to refinish the hardwood floors in our living room and dining room after a friend referred them to us. Eric was great. He returned my initial phone call on the same day and was out right away to give me a quote. The guys who did the work in our home were great. Especially Chuck who was very experienced. They kept things clean after each day of work and answered any questions that I had. Our floors look amazing!! We're extremely happy with the finished product!!

Leghart Bros were awesome. Transparent, timely, and willing to work within our budget and timeline. They made our 100 year old pine floor look brilliant. Everyone worked efficiently and got the job completed in the timeline that we agreed on.

Owner came out for the estimate and was very honest about how the floors would look after refinishing. I still went with the natural look and am very pleased! Workers were pleasant and clean and everything was completed timely. I would definitely use them in the future.

We couldn't be happier with the service and work done by Leghart Brothers. Eric came to our house to give us a quote. He never pressured us, was very knowledgeable and I immediately trusted him. When I contacted him with questions, he responded quickly. He ordered my flooring for me and kept me informed as to when the flooring would be delivered, had his workers there to unload the wood and let me know when the installers would be there. As for the installers, Brian and Bob, they were excellent! They arrived promptly at 7:00 a.m. and worked straight through until 3:00 p.m. every day without taking a break. They were friendly, professional and such hard workers. Very skilled at installing hardwood floors! They did a wonderful job and cleaned up every day before they left! My floors look absolutely gorgeous and I would not hesitate to use Leghart Brothers again.

We contacted Leghart Brothers to refinish original pine floors in our >100 year old house. Many of them had been painted. At the initial consultation, we were given a detailed breakdown of costs and all of the options we had with associated prices (different types of finishes, etc). Eric was very up front about expected outcomes as well - what would/would not sand out, that there would be color variation due to how it was painted/exposure to light over time. Work was started quickly and finished in about 5 days. At the end, detailed care instructions were provided for the refinished floors. The entire process went smoothly and as expected. I've attached some before and after pictures of two rooms. The only reason I am giving a B for professionalism is that there were empty stain cans left in the house, empty drink cans left outside, and about 6 full and very heavy contractor trash bags left on our back deck. Trash disposal was not discussed, so we were surprised by the bags. However, this is a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. Would absolutely hire again.

Leghart Bros did a fantastic job on all the floors in my mother's house. They were one of the many I called who responded. We were redoing the house to sell and they were able to work in the timeframe we wanted it done. The floors turned out beautifully and this company was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and made sure we were happy with the service they provided!

Professional and timely. They came and gave us an estimate in February and we worked it out perfectly so they can do the job while we were out of the house spring break. Our old 1930's floor look fantastic and we are so glad we chose them to do our floor!!

We had a really good experience with Leghart Brothers Inc. Brothers Eric and Gerry were a real pleasure to work with. I actually never had a contractor work as hard to make me happy as these guys did. Prompt, professional, and courteous every step of the way. Great super-prompt communication via mobile and text. Every time I had some minor worry, change, request, or question their response was delivered beautifully. We had some challenges getting the dark stained maple floor to be exactly what we were hoping for. We hadn't appreciated the range of possible technical difficulties that ensued trying to dark stain maple, but the work was re-done as needed until we were satisfied. This was an expensive project for us, but well worth it.

Excellent quality, service and responsiveness. I would hire these guys again in a second. They offered to even do extra coats of poly for certain areas that required it. Top notch guys.

It went very well. The floors look great! We are very happy that they were able to match the new stain to the wood of the old floors. Very accommodating for with dates and payment.

I chose Leghart Brothers because of all the excellent reviews on Angie's List. We were willing to pay more for quality. Leghart Brother's was incredibly responsive and professional. The customer service sets them apart. While the customer service and responsiveness were amazing, the quality wasn't quite what I expected for the price. The floors look beautiful overall, but the patch jobs don't match and stand out awkwardly because they used new oak with tons of pattern. I wish they would have pulled the original wood from the closet for the patch job. We weren't told that the patch job wouldn't match at all. It's in an area that is very noticeable where it sticks out like a sore thumb. Every time I look at it, I feel unhappy. There are also areas around trim edges where there are uneven spots. Other than that, the floor is beautiful. I guess I just expected perfection for the high price. Also, They put a giant hole in the ceiling of our basement while carrying up supplies and didn't say anything about it. However, once we noticed the damage and spoke with the owner, he had someone over to immediately repair it for us for free. I'm not completely satisfied with the job they did, and for what we paid, I should be. They were the most expensive flooring guys I spoke to. I regret not going with another floor guy who was much cheaper and highly rated. I'm torn about how to rate Leghart Brothers because the customer service was above and beyond, but the craftsmanship was lacking.

They worked on it while I was away on vacation. It looks fantastic! They were professional and very nice every step of the way. They really know what they are doing. I would hire them again in a sec.

They are sincere fellows who communicated the quote well, updated me on any scheduling changes, got the job done quickly, and did it very well! Yes they do the three coats, and yes they'll answer your questions without making you feel like an idiot-- I'm happy I went with them!

The team was great and we would definitely hire them again. They refinished floors in 3 1/2 rooms plus a long hallway and added hardwood in the master, including matching up in the hallway and dining room to the living room (pictured). They gave us a few sample stains and clearcoats to consider which was thoughtful. The estimate was clear and understandable and based on experience. We ended up adding a little later and that was not a surprise. An outside contractor, Zasadni contracting, was included in the job to install new hard wood to match old hardwood and they did a fabulous job. We would definitely hire again. The job took just a little longer than expected, but we were not in a hurry and communicated that.

These guys were fantastic. Professional and right on schedule. Really can't recommend any more highly because what do you say when somebody just does the job they were hired for, correctly and on time? Very happy.
