Leghart Brothers were great to work with! They responded quickly to my phone call and came to do an estimate. We had our entire 2nd and 3rd floors refinished (approximately 1100 sq ft). They came to do the work when they said they would and left very little dust. The floors came out beautifully and they were able to make them look like new. I would absolutely hire them again.

This was the first time I picked a contractor from Angie's List and it was a winner. Leghart Brothers did a great job on the floors at a reasonable price. They showed up on time for the estimate. The floors were covered with 25 year old carpet. When the carpet was removed I found some bad pet urine marks on the floors. Eric told me it was a 50-50 chance they could remove the urine marks by sanding. Another contractor told me the urine marks were not coming out and I would need to replace the floors. The crew showed up at 8:30 am on a Wed. morning. They were happy to help me move a few pieces of heavy furniture. After several passes with the sander the urine marks were all gone. After three coats of polyurethane the floors looks new. The crew cleaned up, found no dust inside the house. They answered all my questions and gave me a couple of good hints on to maintain the floors. I was very happy with Leghart Brothers and plan to use them this summer/fall to redo 2 bedroom, hallway, and stairway floors.

Prior to using the Leghart Brothers we were told by another contractor that our floors would probably need to be replaced because they were a commercial grade veneer and the stains had penetrated the surface. We searched Angie's List and chose Leghart Brothers, Inc because of the great reviews, for a second opinion. The stains really weren't an issue for them. We agreed on a price and scheduled a time. The work was completed within 2 days. The floors looked as if they were brand new. We actually came in under the estimate because we opted for a clear finish (no stain to be applied). The team was courteous and professional. I would recommend the company to friends and family. Larry K

We arranged for Eric and his crew to refinish some of the hardwood floors in a house we were buying. There were troubles with our closing (#! mortgage company!!) and we had to postpone at the last minute on several days. This inconvenienced Eric and his team -- which I then heard about over and over again from Eric. Eric's "crew" consisted of 4 or 5 rough looking individuals who smoked in front of my house and did not clean up well after themselves. The job they did was OK. Really this is a do it yourself kind of job, and if you do it yourself you care about the small details a bit more. For instance I wouldn't have spilled stain on the shower floor of our guest bathroom. I wish they hadn't left trash sitting in front of our front door, a part to their vacuum on the front step, and random tools in our bedroom. I would have thought more about where the carpet was cut off and then actually refinished the floor to the edge so that the transition between the carpet and hardwood floor looks nice and doesn't leave unfinished wood showing... In the end Eric came and touched up the areas that were left rough himself. It now looks fine, but not great. I blame myself. Normally I would be onsite during a job like this and would have given them more direct guidance myself. I don't know if this was usual, but Eric didn't really supervise his guys at all. I would say just make sure to hang around and if you see something that doesn't look right say so, because I think his workers do a good job but are not quite as detail oriented as one might like..

Leghart Brothers promptly responded to all of my communications, whether by text, email, or phone. Eric and Jerry Leghart worked in tandem to both refinish the floor and repair the damage. There weren't any subcontractors involved, and they were able to complete the work at an earlier date than originally scheduled. The result is a beautifully refinished hardwood floor.

There was some miss communication between my kitchen re-modeler and Eric regarding when the work could be done. Once Eric realized the strict timeline I was on, he made sure he had a full team at my home to get the work done before the cabinets were scheduled for installation. I cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience of working with Eric and his company. Would recommend to anyone considered floor refinishing to give him a call.

The reviews for Leghart Brothers Inc speak for themsevles; Eric and Gerry were outstanding to work with. I am looking to eventually refinish all of the hardwood in my home and decided to start out with a small bedroom upstairs that would allow me 1) a look at what the refinished product would look like overall and 2) an opportunity to determine if I selected the right company. Success was achieved on both accounts. The room itself was not a big job but one I wanted done to improve the appearance of what will be a spare bedroom and home office. After having several companies come out, some of which were suggested via word of mouth, I was not impressed with some of the companies. Again this was not a big job and one person, when I told him the approximate square footage, told me it wasn't worth his time for such a small room. Finally I checked Angies List and saw the number of positive reviews posted for Leghart Brothers Inc. I decided to try them. Eric came out and provided an estimate that was, on average, at least $200 cheaper than others I had out to the house. He offered suggestions on refinishing the baseboard and laying down a quarter round as well as floor care. No mention was given about the job size...he was polite and very willing to answer any questions I had. Everything seemed in order and having seen the rave reviews elected to schedule a time the same day as the estimate. The day of the work came and Eric called ahead to let me know who was coming and when they would be there. Gerry and crew were there on time and got right to work. They even called to let me know they had to replace a small piece of floor that they found was broken near the door jamb I selected a natural (colorless) finish that turned out exactly how I wanted it to....not too light and not so dark that it will show every speck of dust. They applied three (3) coats over two (2) days and it turned out beautifully and the difference is noticeable immediately. I will be using them again when I am ready to have my first floor living room and dining room refinished. Very professional and VERY good at their craft, you will not be disappointed.

They are the best!!!!! I had previously gone to contractors that had refinished our floors in the past but they were not responding to my calls and when they did, explained that they were so busy. Well, I called the Leghart Brothers and they were extremely busy too but called me back immediately and came out the next day. They had great prices and I felt that they were trustworthy so hired them on the spot even though they couldn't fit me in for a few months! It was worth the wait. I was refinisihing floors on the first floor of the home with two different types of wood in the living room and dining room. I knew that it might not look the same but was OK with it. After the work was done, it did look a little off but before I could say anything, they said that they wanted to re-do them since they didn't want their name on it! I was extremely impressed and so appreciated it. They used a darker stain in the dining room and now it looks very similar to the living room. They also had to do some repair work since we had removed a wall. You would never know that there was any repair. It was done perfectly. I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend them.

We called and setup a date to have these guys come out, provide an estimate, and talk with us about concerns regarding refinishing our hardwood. Eric came within a few days and provided just that... he reviewed everything and provided details analysis covering the questions we had. We scheduled about a month out so there were no scheduling issues and we kept an open mind about the specific day they were scheduled to start. Eric actually told us they're usually good for the day they schedule but sometimes, due to jobs, they have to bump a day or two. We had no issues like that. Eric's team showed up on the day they said and got to work. Within 20 minutes, they had a patch of floor sanded and several stains were put down for our review. After a few minutes we chose the natural (colorless) stain and they got to work. They were in and out in three days and we were able to move all of the furniture back after 2 more days. Good turn around for polyurethane work. You have to let it cure a bit before you walk on it to do a second and third coat. The floors are still beautiful six months later. Having a black dog that sheds twice a year for six months at a time, allows us to see the fur on lighter, natural color of the wood.... it also makes us use the dry mop more often ;-)

It could not have gone better. My experience was not unlike that of the other reviewers of the Legharts. They came quickly to give an estimate. A work date was set; they called a few days ahead to confirm; and they were here on time. They were easy to work with. I asked for spot touchups on nearby hardwood surfaces on the steps and dining rooms. They said it is difficult to do but did it anyway with good result. I was totally satisfied with the entire experience and can think of no way they could have done better in any way from beginning to end.

Called for estimate and Eric responded same day. Set up appointment time and Eric arrived on time. Very personable and professional. Provided a written estimate on the spot and explained exactly how the work would be performed and how long it would take. Spent time answering my questions. After getting three more estimates from other companies I decided to contract Leghart Brothers to do the job. Called Eric and scheduled the work for Sept. 12, 2012. Received a call from Eric on Sept. 7, 2012 that the work would have to be rescheduled because of equipment problems. Agreed on a time, which unfortunately had to be changed again. Work was completed on Sept. 26th through Sept. 28th. The rescheduling didn't cause any problems for me, but may have been a problem for someone on a tight schedule. Eric and his crew arrived around 9:00 AM and got right to work. All the guys were friendly and hard-working. Once the job got started it went exactly as Eric had described. No problems and results are beautiful! Looks like a brand new floor!! Both my husband and myself are very pleased and would definitely recommend Leghart Brothers, Inc. to anyone needing their hardwood floors refinished at a very competitive price.

The project was done very efficiently and was well communicated to me by Eric. It was done in 2 phases by floor so that we could continue to live in the house. This was very helpful for us, and dust was kept to a minumum too. Our floors were in very bad shape and look great now.

Eric and Jerry (and crew) did a great job. We have already contracted them to do additional work in September.

Left message on their machine. no response. Called again, got them, got quick response with visit for an estimate. We asked them to do the work almost immediately because we had emptied the dining room for another job. We hadn't thought of the floor until the dining room was almost done and didn't want to be out of the room longer than necessary. They agreed to do the job on the next working day. They seemed knowledgeable about what could be done. They were careful, thorough and neat. Did both coats in one day. Instructed us as to how long to wait before walking on the floor and returning the furniture. We would and will use Leghart again if and when our other floors need to be re-coated.

I called Eric Leghart for an estimate, he was prompt, professional and personable. We scheduled the work to be done, Eric and his team arrived on time, they were all business, hard-working and efficient. My furniture was removed, the carpeting lifted and the sanding started in record time. It was a great experience, I have recommended Eric Leghart Bros. to anyone who mentions having their hardwood floors refinished. My floors look more amazing than I had even imagined! I can't say enough about the quality of the work.

They sanded and refinished all my floors and stairs in two different weeks, since my furniture was all stacked in one room on each floor. The work was done in the morning so that the floors were dry by evening, and I could still sleep in the house every night. They were very punctual, professional, and careful with their work., always cleaning up after themselves. When they returned to move the two pieces of furniture, I asked them if they would also move a heavy sofa into another room. I offered to pay them to do it, but they did not take any extra money to do that. It was a big blessing to me and I highly recommend them. My floors are beautiful! Excellent, excellent work!!!

My experience was good from start to finish. They finished the work when they said they would, and it looks great. The only reason I gave them a "B" on "Quality" is that there were a few imperfections, like a sanding scar on a stair, and the cleanup could have been a little better. There were some areas where my floors were stained (pet stains, I think) - they got a lot of it out, but probably no one could have gotten it all. The price was way more affordable than I expected, and overall they did a great job. They even removed carpeting on the stairs without charging me extra.

We've used the Leghart brothers a couple of times now and plan to use them again even though we had to wait three months or so for it to be our turn. They responded to our phone calls in a timely manner, were prompt and always informative and professional.Gerry, who did our work, was deeply informative with helpful information and suggestions while never once giving us an attitude or in any way trying to impose his will or agenda on us. We believe we made the best choices available to us because of him. His work is first class. He took care when he installed and refinished our landing and steps and he cleaned up every day. We recommend him without hesitation and look forward to him coming by again.

They were really prompt to come out for an estimate. Their price was in line with what I expected and they were able to work with our other contractors at the same time to get the floors refinished. The floors look great and they had the job done in 3 days.

Eric Leghart truly is a professional. Through all of our interactions with him, he was on time, curteous, and incredibly knowledgeable of his craft. He was always quick to return phone calls, and honest up front about pricing. We ulitmately went with another company purely because the price was less, but I am disappointed as I was looking forward to working with Eric. I would highly recommend using Leghart Flooring.

Leghart did an excellent job. Refinishing floors can be a real mess but they have the right equipment to keep the dust to a minimum. When the carpet was removed we discovered 2 hearths which we decided to remove and replace with wood. It did add to the original estimate, but it did add an extra 3 days to the job. In the end we were extremely pleased with the work. They showed up every day until the job was done, were courteous and neat, and were priced right.
