Description of Work: Plaster repair to bathroom ceiling and a small area of the kitchen ceiling. |The $99 I paid to Angie's List for Hutton's services was for 3 hours of plastering. I was charged an additional $390. Since Hutton placed a value of $180 on his Big Deal. I would have been charged a total of $750 had I not purchased the Big Deal for $99. In retrospect, I wish I had gotten several estimates before purchasing the Big Deal, any one of which I feel would have been less than what it cost me to use Hutton.

Description of Work: We had several walls that were taken down due to a plumbing leak. Hutton came in and dry-walled holes. They were very efficient and neat. Will hire them to come back and paint.

Description of Work: I purchased a special from Angie's List $99 for Three Hours of Drywall or Plaster Repair. Silly me thought I would get three hours of drywall repair at my house. I did not realize that I had to pay for from the time the worker left the office, collected materials, lunch and the time to get back to the office. I thought I would get three hours of work not pay for the rest of the workers time. |I will never buy a package again and would not recommend them to anyone. They are very misleading.

Description of Work: Originally, we were going to have a hole in the garage ceiling repaired. We then decided to also have the ceiling painted.

Description of Work: He was to do 3 hours of dry wall for $99. He was contacted on 5/7. Hutton Painting chose the time and date, to give me an estimate. I didn't want an estimate. I wanted 3 hours of work to be done. On 5/13 after I waited an hour and a half, they never arrived. I was told he "forgot to put it on the schedule." I didn't see him again until 5/21 and a few days later he came back with a bid of $400. Ultimately the work couldn't be done until the middle to end of July anyway. | My daughter was coming home then, which is why I called early in May! Hutton was aware of that.

Description of Work: Removed wallpaper in some if the kitchen. We bought Angie's list big deal. It took awhile to schedule but two guys came for 2 hours and removed most of the wallpaper. We chose to finish the job although they offered to do so for additional cost. They were professional and clean. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Removed wallpaper from master bathroom and prepared walls for painting. The reason I won't be using in the future is that they are located in South Park and I'm in Wexford. There are a lot of good painters in my are.

Description of Work: Hutton painted our kitchen, stairwell, and upstairs hall. They did a very good job: good quality work, punctual, fair cost, cleaned up. We are very happy with their work. Although they are a bit further away from our location, we would certainly consider using them again in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased 2 big deals for 2 painters for a day. They are wonderful. They did a very fine job. They sent 4 painters for a whole day. I had them paint a two story entry including the trim, living room, ceiling and hallway. They brought in the needed equipment including the scaffolding. They were able to get all of the work done in the time they were here. It took about 2 months to get the appointment booked, but they kept in touch during the couple of months. I supplied the paint and an extra runner. The crew that came out were very pleasant, efficient, professional and very clean.

Description of Work: I never had them out. The first year, they said they were busy so I said I would wait till next year...that year when I called I was told that they were behind because of the weather. I never received a call from them so contacted them this year and Mr. Hutton said he would be out to see what I needed painted when he returned from vacation. That never happened so I am in the process of hiring another painting company to do the work - it wasn't 'urgent' so I didn't mind waiting...but now it's mid-July and still no call to schedule the work.

Description of Work: Called in late Feb for estimate of painting to be completed by end of April at latest. Did not receive estimate for 2-3 weeks. Was told someone would call re scheduling. Another wait, another call, another promise of contact re scheduling. Repeat yet again. Finally received phone message re scheduling yesterday, April 3. I called today and said we were only going to have the painting which was included in the coupon done because we had finally gone ahead and found another painter to do all the other work which was quoted due to lack of responsiveness on part of Hutton and looming deadline which had been made clear. I did say that we had become quite frustrated, but figured we still needed to have them come to at least do the amount of painting that had already been paid for. I was told (nicely and politely) that we could get a refund if we were dissatisfied. I was not aware of this so greatly appreciated being told this. I was really dreading trying to get the Hutton painting worked in somehow when we have another painting company coming in next week. I thanked Mr. Hutton for being so understanding and letting me know of this option, and he was quite apologetic about the delays, saying he wasn't sure what happened because that is not the way they normally do business. In my experience, very nice people, but this experience just didn't work out and was extremely frustrating. In the end, no service was performed and I am requesting a refund.
