Hutton Painting & Remodeling

I was very happy with the work provided by Hutton Painting. They came out and gave me a quote quickly, which listed in detail, all of the tasks to be completed and how much each one would be. They removed wallpaper, prepped the walls, and then painted. They were very flexible. You could supply your own paint or they could do it, either way. They were polite and professional at all times. They were careful not to damage any furniture and they cleaned up after they were done. They were very punctual as well, which I appreciated. I plan on asking them to paint the rest of the rooms in my home and would recommend them to anyone.

I liked that when I called my call was answered promptly. A return call to set a date for the estimate and day to paint was also prompt. Don and his crew were on time, efficient and clean. they even vacuumed after they were through painting! My home looks GREAT and i'd recommend him for future painting jobs.

They were very professional and cleaned up everything each night and particularly the last day. The finished job is beautiful and I am very pleased. My only concern was an added $150.00 to the original estimate, which Don attributed to cost of paint, but I didn't understand why that couldn't have been included in the original estimate, instead of springing it on me the day they arrived to paint. Overall great job!

Hutton Painting was great to work with right from the start. They listened to our requirements, patiently helped us with color selection and made helpful recommendations without trying to influence our decisions. Hutton displayed fine professionalism, always showed up for appointments on time or called in the few cases where they were slightly delayed. They did a fantastic job. They were on time every day. Cleaned up when they were done each day and addressed any concerns we had about a missed patch or marks on the wall. We are very pleased with the paint job and would hire them for additional work as needed.

Don came to give us an estimate and took time to listen to our concerns and to go around the house and discuss the scope of the job. His estimate was in my email within a week. Don Hutton provided a free estimate of all work to be performed, and during the estimating process provided some good options to consider in terms of price and quality of the desired work. When the work began, all work was performed according to the job specifications included in the work estimate. I was very pleased that "attention to details" was evident in all work that was performed and clean-up with very thorough. Most importantly, Don, Shane, and Cole Hutton (the business owners) were very receptive to discussing other needs that I had (e.g., roof replacement, minor electrical repair work, etc.), and suggesting the options I had to consider. Because Hutton's business also is in home remodeling, it was very easy and cost-effective for me to have them address the other needs while on-site to complete the painting work. Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome of all work performed and I had a very positive experience with every member of Hutton's project staff during the work.

They were neat, they were very cooperative. They were very highly professional. They did not assume anything - they asked questions and kept us informed. They were worth every dollar. We will definitely use them again. Their price was very reasonable and they used high quality products.

Hutton did an amazing job. The house is 70 years old with lots of blemishes on the wall and an incredible amount of moulding. Hutton responded to my call for an estimate and arrived at the time that was agreed upon. They followed up prior to the project starting and confirmed dates and colors. The project took five days not including the staining of the deck which they came back when the weather improved. We were able schedule the work when the house was still empty and without furniture. They left the house much cleaner then when they started. The crew was professional and Shane did an awesome job. Everything looks fantastic and was perfectly done. I would hire them again without question!

Even though there was a lot of traffic getting to my apartment, Hutton painting made up for lost time, finishing the job I had asked them to do and even offering to do additional touch ups of scuff marks around the apartment. Their work was great. They were clean and neat while they worked. I would use Hutton again in a minute.

Excellent! We're extremely pleased with Hutton Painting. Their estimate was fair, extremely competitive, and a great deal for all the work they did. They were always prompt in responding (same day, regardless of whether it was responding to an email or a phone call), and exactly on time. Extremely neat too--no messes anywhere. We were due to have an awning installed on the back of the house, so Hutton made a special trip to the house (squeezing us in between other jobs) to paint the parts that would be inaccessible after the awning was up. And they didn't even ask for payment until the entire job was complete. They even surprised us by repaired a rotting piece of trim around the garage door, replacing it with a piece of metal, and painted it over so it's not noticeable at all. We're thrilled with the work they did, and will definitely be calling on them again. Highly recommended! Stop looking for painters, and call Hutton!

They did what they said they were going to do. They came when they said they would. They did a really good job.

The job went well. We are pleased with the work, especially the transformation of our basement. They were very flexible, in that when we wanted something changed and/or different they listened to our concern and proceeded on the project. It's a family crew. Pleasure to work with. We plan to use them again to paint and do some carpentry work on our deck this summer.

I've used them before, Don and his team are very professional, very courteous, and they do a great job. I was moving into a new house so I had them paint before move-in. They accommodated my schedule and had the work done a few days before I needed to move in. The work was excellent, they gave me a quote that was very accurate, and they did a thorough walk-through before the job to make sure they understood all the details. When I asked for suggestions about particular issues, they gave good advice. This is now the second house I've had painted with them, and they did a great job each time. Would recommend them without hesitation!

They were extremely professional. The only disappointment was that I had to wait several weeks to get my job done because they had so a great response to their Angie's list deal. Other than that, everything was completely in a very professional manner.

He charged me extra for every little thing. When I emailed him the paint I wanted, he went to the wrong store, and then charged me for his time to go to the different store. He also charged me for himself being there for 1 day, when I didn't ask him to be there and he didn't do anything. They didn't even finish painting the deck in the 2 days they were here, which I thought was ridiculous for a 12 for by 15 foot porch.

I bought a Big Deal, 2 painters for a day for $399. I called Don Hutton in September because I saw the deal was going to expire soon. I spoke with Don Hutton and he was very nice and he stated they don't expire and he would need to look at his schedule and could he call me back. I got a call back in a timely fashion. We talked and due to things I was having done to the bedroom and his schedule we planned for the first week of December. He requested me to call the middle to end of November to confirm a day. I called and we reviewed his schedule and my schedule and we agreed on 12/22/11. He and a co-worker came out one evening the week before and looked over the project. We discussed paint and how much and he explained what he needed to do since the project was going to be 3 paint colors. The two men arrived on time on the 22nd and started the work. Don Hutton came out about an hour later. When they went to lunch Don explained about the drying and asked for the heat to be turned up. Don returned with one worker and they completed the job. They cleaned up and recommended that they didn't push the furniture back yet but they asked if I had someone who could do this and if not they would push it back but not all the way. I explained that my son was home and he could do that. Don showed me the room and I was very pleased with the work. He explained that they stand by their work. He left the leftover paint in a side room. I would recommend Hutton Painting and Remodeling.

These guys are so nice and did a fantastic job! First off, they were originally scheduled to perform the work in January of 2011 and I called 2 days before they were to come to cancel ... the water problem was not repaired and I was still having leakage in the kitchen. They were very understanding when I know that I messed up their schedule and may have left them with idle, unpaid time when they could have been doing another job. They were very nice when I called and said I had the gutter fixed (I think, I'm not sure that was done correctly but that is another story). They could have just blown me off after my last minute cancelation. They came on a Tuesday and, due to the extensive damage to the plaster, cautioned that they might not be able to get it as unnoticeable as I might like. I think they are just perfectionists (which is great) I can't see the difference. After all, it is an old house with old plaster walls, nothing is plumb! I picked a pretty vivid paint color from a different manufacturer than I think they usually use but they matched it really well. Everything is clean, and neat. I am still getting used to the new color but it was my choice. They have assured me they stand by their work and I believe it. I know I need to have my hallway painted soon and will be calling them. I also have a sister who needs some work done and will be recommending Hutton.

We bought a deal from Angie's List for $500 for some of amount of painting (I don't remember the details) then we added to that to get everything we wanted done.

I bought the coupon in April of this year. I waited a month or so to call to schedule the first visit for an estimate because I was moving into a new house that was being renovated and painting would be the last thing to be done before I moved in in late July. The job was completed the last week in October. The quality of work is high, and the painters themselves are great to work with. They do really nice work, they work very well together, were flexible and helpful and took care to protect my house and belongings. They cleaned up well when the job was done and were careful to replace all the furniture where I wanted it before they left. I think my only issue is with communication and expectations. I didn't really understand that my job being complete was going to depend on the weather and how many outside painting jobs they had. I assumed that I would be put on the schedule "next in line" regardless of whether the painting jobs ahead of me were interior or exterior. E mail turn around was a bit slow. I got the written proposal 3 or 4 weeks after Don's initial visit. I wanted more detail and wanted a few things to be clarified before I agreed and that response took another few weeks. These guys know what they are doing and how they organize themselves, but as a new customer I don't. Faster and more thorough communication would have left me feeling more comfortable and satisfied. I guess the good news is they are really busy because they are good at what they do.

The work was done very professionally from start to finish. They went above and beyond what was expected. They stand behind their work.

They arrived promptly, and did a great job painting our 2 story foyer. They took care to prepare the place with drop cloths and after the job was done, they also cleaned up after themselves. The work was done fast and completed as promised in one day. They were also very courteous. We are very pleased with the quality of their job and would not hesitate to use them again.

They were good. We had to work out the date with them and the time a little bit but once they came, they did the job and it was fine.
