Dan not only returns your phone calls he keeps his appointments and keeps you informed of when he will return. He was early for our appointment and I was walking my dog so I missed him by about 2 minutes. I called him and explained. He returned after his appointment with another customer. He explained to me what the problem was and is repairing it now. I am very pleased with his company and would recommend them to anyone reading this review.

I talked with someone from the McCauley Corp. offices, who arranged for someone to come out and give me an estimate. The crew arrived promptly, did their evaluation in a very professional manner, and explained what needed to be done. They gave me an estimate on the spot. I agreed to the estimate and asked when they could do the work. The job required that a few shingles be replaced, and they wanted to make sure that they had shingles that were an exact match. They said that a work crew would come the next morning, which they did. The two-man crew worked very efficiently, with no wasted time and none of the "gee, what do we do next" standing around. Before they started, they explained to me again what they were going to do -- and both how and why. When they were finished, they showed me the flashing and shingles that had to be replaced, and then they cleaned up everything. The final bill was exactly what was quoted. I am very impressed, and I am contacting the company to see about some other projects. I would highly recommend McCauley Construction.

Arrived at time agreed to and assessed problem. Explained work needed and costs very clearly. Proceeded immediately to do repair. (No I’ll come back later). Job was completed in a very efficient manner. Will recommend McCauley Construction Company to everyone. Also, very professional and polite!!!

I didn't authorize details of job before contractor began work, I came home from gym one day and work was partially completed. Didn't want to supervise his crew while went on vacation in the middle of the project, which I was uncomfortable with. Showed up unannounced for his money.

DO NOT HIRE! I used them to repair a leak in my roof...my master bedroom ceiling was leaking when it rained. The owner (Dan) made the determination after I showed him the spot in my bedroom ceiling to go on the roof...where he made the assessment that I needed to replace my roof ridge venting. $1500 later and many rain storms, the SAME SPOT was leaking in my ceiling. I went into the attic of my home personally found the source of the leak to be a vent pipe. Called Dan backed to inform him that I needed a new collar and flashing to remedy the leak. He quoted me $125 on the phone to do this repair. He then shows up at my doorstep a week or so later with an invoice for $200. You can make your own determination as a homeowner, but this man is miserable and has proven to be quite a belligerent businessman. If you can afford to throw money away and you want more drama in your life, hire him. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!

Had water issues on slate, McCauley Construction fixed our roofing issues in a timely manner.

Thoroughly explained what needed to be done and the concerns I should have. Very helpful. Excellent work, very neat and courteous. Came back when I asked him to when I had a recurrence of a leak which may not have been related to the work done.

Dan was very prompt in arriving and fixed the roof at a very reasonable price the same day. Would recommend him to everyone. He also alerted me of the condition of the chimney bricks that need pointing,told him to schedule it for me. Want him to perform work.

Mr. McCauley came quickly and fixed the roof the same day. He used roof caps that we had in storage and made it work. He also alerted me to the condition of the roof and answered questions we had about replacing it with another type roof.

Dan was very prompt in arriving, even coming a bit sooner than expected, which helped our schedule a lot! He expertly repaired our asphalt shingle that had come loose and even applied some touch-up sealant around our chimney flashing after noticing that there was some cracking in it--all for a reasonable price! Dan McCauley and McCauley Construction is the way to go for any roofing repairs!

Dan & his professional team replaced my patio roof, fixed my deteriorating wall, insulated under my shower & re- routed some duct work. They did a fantastic job in a timely manner & I was so impressed how mannerly his team was. I loved how they cleaned up each day & respect your property. Highly recommended!

I still have leaks.

Dan was the only contractor who actually got on a ladder and inspected the top of my dormer window to determine where the leakage was coming from. He was able to BOTH repair the leak from behind the slate roof where it met the top of the window, replacing a piece of rotted wood,but also was able to repair the inside plaster about the window that had been damaged. He also guaranteed his work for 5 years.

This was a roof leak at a plumbing vent. I posted the job at 12 noon. He called at 2:00, on the roof at 3:00, fixed the bad vent, inspected and fixed three other vents, and caulked chimney flash. Done at 5:00 pm, ahead of the rain that evening. Responsive, efficient, professional problem solver!

The repair guy was very informative and very experienced. I like that he look over my whole roof and told me what to expect and how much longer I could go. He fixed my deck roof perfectly

I hired him to replace a vent on my roof. The replacement vent has a dent in it, it looks cheap, and some of the shingles around it are in poor condition... I feel like I wasted $350. And he completed the work in an hour.... looks like a rush job. So now I have to hire another roofer to fix his work.
