 + 0 moreIt was the most unprofessional dissatisfying encounter I have ever had with a service professional. I would never recommend Moyer to anyone.
Description of Work: Moyer serviced the trees in front of my house for a number of years. When I noticed them turning from green to reddish brown I had to call 3 times over the course of a month trying to get someone to come out before they finished dying. By the time someone did come one tree was dead, the other dying. The person sent here gave me a few could be stories. It could be someone put food at the root that killed them, could be that the roots rotted, could be vandals threw poison on them and that killed them. I don't live in that kind of community. Now 1 tree is brown, you can see through it. The other is still slowly dying. I don't know if it could be saved because the person sent out by Moyer only looked at them. He took no soil samples or cuttings off the trees to be analyzed, which I would think a tree specialist would do. When I asked what I could do he said dig them up and put something else in but we can't heIp you with that. I hope other Moyer customers are treated better. I am so disappointed in and disgusted by this company.

 + -1 moreI worked with Nate who was quick with an estimate for removing 2 large Pine trees and 2 walnut trees from my rental property. His estimate was very competitive. We worked around snow storms and other bad weather until the job was complete. Because of the weather the job took about 3 weeks and Nate never invoiced me until the job was complete. His crew was very courteous and attentive to the needs of my tenants at the property while work was being done. I will certainly use him in the future.
Description of Work: Removed (4) large trees and stump grinding.

 + -1 moreThe job went well. Nate and his workers are polite and easy to talk to. They did a good job of cleaning up when they were all done.
Description of Work: Cut down a large oak tree in the back yard, cut and stacked the logs. Ground the stump as well as a smaller stump and surface roots in the front yard. Also cut a branch from a neighbor's tree that was hanging over my roof.

 + -1 moregood work, including clean-up, but they have a minimum fee -I think it was 300.00. they did put several guys on the job...and they did have a lot of equipment (cherry picker, wood chipper,etc). you be the judge. I would use them again, but I would wait til I had enough work to meet the minimum.
Description of Work: trimmed two small pear trees side by side along my driveway.

 + -1 moreNate showed up on time on the agreed upon date. We went over the work to be performed and he went at it with his helper. The stumps were all ground down, the chips were spread where I wanted them and the yard was left neat and clean. Nate performed the work at the low end of the estimate which he had previously provided to me. His cost was the same as another contractor who had previously stood me up without even calling me. This is the second time I have used Nate for my tree work. As long as he can perform what I want done I will continue to use him.
Description of Work: Nate ground out 7 tree stumps remaining from hurricane Sandy & spread the chips in a garden walk in another part of my yard as I requested. Additionally he saw a dead tree hydrangea in the yard which was not included in the estimate & suggested we remove it - which he did.

 + 0 moreOn a high positive note: There were follow ups of the estimate to confirm the work and the satisfaction of the quote. I have to say that they were so friendly and polite, the work was so well done and efficient and it looks fantastic! What a difference it makes. Where we had any questions, they were right there to help and add comments to make the right decision for the landscape and the home owner. They were there to help and do a great job! We would recommend them to the next person looking for tree work or some landscape help. They are certainly a local team you want to include in your estimates!

Description of Work: I used Nate to trim two pear trees in my front yard. He did a great job and his quote came in lower than the other tree services I contacted.

 + -1 moreAfter calling three other tree services and being outraged at the prices for a broken limb removal, I finally called Nate Moyer on the advice of a neighbor. He was out within 48 hours and gave me a fair estimate on the work. Once I approved the estimate he was back within the week to take care of the problem. Not only did he take care of the large broken limb, but he made the willow tree look refreshed and beautiful - like poetry in motion! He left the yard cleaner than it was when he got here and his crew was very friendly.
