It was reasonable, the person who they sent out was excellent.

Make sure price you get mentions if or not there will be extra charges for overtime, or emergency weekend work. Had to haggle over this one - Everything else was more than satisfactory! - Professional attitude and performances.

On time arrival with a full crew, with additional people as needed for removal of old equipment. They worked a very long day to complete a professional installation. I was impressed. The heating system and hot water maker has performed flawlessly all winter. The savings by converting to gas are substantial and should pay back within a few years.

I liked their outstanding response. I called them up in the morning, and they were out here that day; that was incredible. We have hired them again to work on our new pole barn. Their price was fair; it was reasonable.

The overall experience was wonderful. Pricing was reasonable. Customer service was excellent. The installation was excellent. Doug explained the entire system to us and answered our many questions (our first water softener system). The basement was spotless after the installation. He also installed a hook to hold the filter wrench and quick facts guide for easy access/reference. Very nice people which made the experience wonderful. We are very happy with the product and service. I would recommend Good Plumbing in the future.

Called Good Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning due to their 'A' rated history on Angie's and was overall satisfied with the experience. From the initial phone call, the office was friendly and they asked the necessary probing questions needed for the job,and time needed to accomplish it, what was covered and not and provided me with the cost per hour plus any parts that were needed.. They called me the morning of the install saying they were going to be a little late due to a emergency, but somehow another person called me back and he came within minutes. Nice customer support ! Denny was professional and went right to work. He showed me what he did behind the access panel,soldered connections and added support to the pipes. He demoed functionality of the shower for me and cleaned up everything. Its been about 2 weeks and no problems noticed so far. The invoice was consistent with duration of time and fair price with parts. Impressive website. I like that you list the manufactures you use, especially Bradford White. I will call again.

The first time my AC started acting up was actually over a year ago. I called Good on the advice of a neighbor who had given them great reviews. I was told there was a $75 charge just to have someone come out and look at the unit. That seemed like a fair price, so I agreed. The technician came out to check the unit, but couldn't find anything wrong. It miraculously started working when he turned it on and continued to work fine for the rest of that summer. The following year we had the same issue - the unit ran constantly but didn't cool. We called Good again and they were able to send someone to look at it. Because we had just used them, we knew there would be a service charge but we failed to ask what it would be (our fault). The technician who came was completely incompetent and spent 6 hours trying to troubleshoot the problem. He finally decided it was an electrical problem and he would need to order a part. When he left, he said it would take a few days for the part to come in and the company would call to schedule the repair. He also said that my unit was still under warranty so everything would be covered. The very next day, the same guy shows up at my house around 4pm to install the part. No phone call, no notice, I wasn't home and it took me about an hour to get home. After changing the part...surprise! That wasn't the problem. So he calls another technician and after 4 more hours (and many phone calls to the manufacturer) they figure out that there was a wire that had some how been disconnected. Once they hooked it up, everything worked fine. 8 WEEKS later, I get a bill for labor. 8 WEEKS! And it was over $600 for 10 hours of incompetent labor! Not once was I told that I would have to pay a labor charge. When you tell me everything is covered, I expect that to mean labor too. Less than 8 weeks later the unit stopped working again, so I called them back (BIG mistake). They send a technician out and he says the compressor is bad. He leaves and says he will have to check with the manufacturer and he let us know how much it will cost. 6 Weeks later we get a call one afternoon. Surprise! We are calling with your estimate...another $800 or so (just in labor) to replace the compressor. Oh...and then a couple of days later we get a bill for another $100 for the last call. Yeah...I won't be calling them again.

Two men worked hard all day to complete the job. Did a good job.

Called company in the morning to set up appt. for clearing clogged sink and shower. They had someone out by noon. Very professional and skilled. Cleared shower clog and discovered leak under the sink I didn't even know was there. Had it professionally repaired and looking better than it did when he started in about an hour. The only thing I'm not happy with is that they charge for driving time. Who gets paid for driving to work? A service call charge is acceptable, an hourly rate to drive to my house is not. Even so, I'd call them again because they are really good.

Initially, we wanted to just replace a section of pipe that was leaking just outside our basement wall. The water supply enters our house approximately 4 feet below ground level there. However, after several attempts to repair/replace just that small part, it became clear that the entire pipe needed to be replaced. The crew wasted no time in getting a backhoe into our driveway. What surprised and impressed us most was that the entire operation was completed in just one day - and the cost was well below what we were expecting for that kind of work.

I have an old farmhouse type home with an unfinished basement. When we get a heavy rain the basement usually gets flooded with several inches of water. I do have a drain at one end of the basement but it is not able to handle a large volume of water. For many years now I have been using several manual plug-in portable pumps (with garden hoses attached) to pump the water out through one of my basement windows. The problem doing it this way was that the pumps had to be standing in a minimum of one-half inch of water otherwise the motors could burn out. So my wife and I had to basically babysit these pumps to make sure that didn't happen. I called Good Plumbing and originally spoke with Matt. We scheduled an appointment for him to come out and give me an estimate to have a sump pump installed. Matt was prompt in keeping the appointment. My big problem was where to run the outside drainage line since I have quite a bit of concrete outside. Matt came up with a solution for where to run the outside drain line that no one else had thought of. I received my estimate through the mail in a timely manner and accepted it. A few days later Matt called to schedule the work for Aug 30, 2012. He said his men would arrive between 8:00am - 8:15am. On Aug 30, 2012 three workmen arrived pretty much on time. After digging a pit for the submersible sump pump in the basement, two of the men concentrated on installing the underground outside drainage line while the other man installed the pump. Originally I thought they would have to cut through a section of the concrete walk for the drainage line but they decided to go under the concrete which worked out very well. They completed the work in one day and left no mess to speak of either outside or inside. They did a fantastic job!

Good had replaced our water heater the year before and we were very pleased with their service and price. So I called them to find the problem and fix the sewer line. They did an amazing job pulling out the garage floor, moving our stuff out of the way when the job was bigger than expected, completing the repairs and backfilling the garage and part of the driveway. They filled the hole with stone which is what should have been done in the first place and made sure the sewer pipe was angled correctly for proper flow to the main sewer lines. They also filled the driveway and patched the blacktop. The price was very reasonable, the work was done quickly and efficiently and the repair was done correctly to prevent this from happening again. We are very pleased with their work. So much so, that we've recently had them service our air conditioners and are planning to have them service the furnace in the fall. I would definitely recommend them and have already to several friends and neighbors.

The seal broke on the wax ring under our toilet. I called and complained of sewage smells, and thought maybe the smell was coming from the toilet. They came out the next day, fixed the problem -replaced the wax ring and reset the toilet quickly and neatly. Very professional. Sent the invoice through the mail.

We had water accumulating in the salt tank of our water softener. I called about 3 business days before they came out. They gave me a window of 12-4PM. The day of the appointment the plumber called to let me know he was about 20 minutes away. He arrived at 1:00PM and only needed 45 minutes or so to repair the softener. He informed me that the softener needed a few parts and that it was typical for a softener of 12 years old to require this type of maintenance. He was very professional, and kept everything neat. He also gave me instructions on how to keep the softener working properly.

Their prices were very fair. They had a good rating on Angie's List and I had another friend who had a good experience. They were very good and thorough. They didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need. They told me that even though my tank is 15 years old, it was in great shape. They were very honest and fair.

After being given the run-around and spending $1000 just to have another contractor tell me my best bet was to pay $6k to replace my heater and A/C completely, I contacted Don Landis at Good Plumbing and Heating. I explained my issue to Don and emailed him photos of my system. He was able to send a technician out that day to make the repair. The technician (Mike) worked clean, was through and systematic, polite, and everything else you could dream of when someones has the future of your home comfort in their hands. The suggestion of using Good Plumbing and Heating came from my neighbor who mentioned it was worth any added charge for their travel since they are located somewhat far from where we live. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

We are very happy with him. They took the time to make sure everything was right. My heater works well.

After discovering water seeping up around our sewer pipe, I contacted Good Plumbing. They had a plumber out to our house in a couple of hours. Matt was very professional and was able to identify the probable causes for the leak. He cleaned out the trap with a Shop Vac but explained that further action would be necessary. He wasn't pushy about making any unnecessary repairs and did not charge for the visit. Per the suggestion of another plumber, I took up the concrete around the sewer pipe and quickly discovered that the leak went beyond the basement. I had several other local plumbers come out to provide input and estimates, but they all wanted several hundred dollars to run a camera and auger before providing an estimate for the line replacement. One plumber charged $50 just to come out, and then he wanted another $50 to provide an estimate! I called Good back and they provided an estimate right away at no charge. The estimate of $4300 included materials and labor for both the sewer and water line replacement. After speaking to a number of knowledgeable friends, I was assured the price was very reasonable. They showed up on time the day the work was scheduled. A crew of three to four worked from 8:00 straight thru 5:30. The guys were very polite and professional, all while answering the 100+ questions I had about the installation process. The only work left to be done is to reseed the lawn in the spring after the dirt settles. Good took care of everything from obtaining the permits to repairing the sidewalk. They were true to their word. Of course we were not happy about this large expense, but the work had to be done. And after seeing how much work was involved in the process, the price tag seemed all the more justified. We would not hesitate to use Good again in the future.

It was quick and efficient. The workman was polite and informative.

I had a major leak when a part of the water meter broke. Fortunately I was able to shut the main water valve off. The very next morning I called Good Plumbing at approx 730 am, they had someone to my house to inspect the problem by 8-830am. They did not charge a service fee, and gave me the hourly rate and the billing info at time of call. The plumber was professional, courteous, and identified the problem quickly. He told me that because the water meter itself was damaged the water company would be responsible to replace and/or repair the water meter. I appreciated his quick response and would definitely use this company for future plumbing work.

I needed our sump pump replaced and a water powered back up installed. I had a very hard time finding a plumber who was willing to work with me to perform the work for a reasonable price and install the pump I choose (after much research). Matt from Good was very pleasant to deal with, responsive and flexible. My experience with the plumber that actually performed the work, Vinnie, was the same. I found Good to be professional, pleasant to deal with & reasonably priced compared to other plumbers I had called. Good was very upfront & transparent on the costs and their labor charges so there were no suprises. They took time to answser all my questions and help me understand the process and the challanges. The work was completed in only 6 hours and the pump worked perfectly only days later when we got a bad rain storm. While the set up in our basement was a challenge, Good found a way to both install workable pumps and maintain the integrity of our finished basement. You can't even see the new system because they were able to "hide" it in the same cabinet that our original sump pump was in (which is a tight fit). They cleaned up after themselves as if they were never there.

I would use them again, they were honest, and the prices are reasonable. The gentlemen that has come to service our furnace is very nice.

I was not there when repair was completed so I can't say how long it took. There seemed to be some miscommunication about that point. I like to be present for all work done. However, the system has been workig fine. There was a billing issue. They billed me at $74/hr but quoted me $65/hr. I spoke with Don Landis who did not recall quoting me less than billed but offered to reduce the charges to match the quote, a difference of $18. I will not use them again because they charge for travel both to and from your house. They charged me 2 hours for this job plus parts. His 'free' verbal estimate was for $150. To his credit, other contractors were trying to sell me a complete system for over $10,000.

They are really good. They do a yearly maintenance check for me. It is a good price for what they do for me. They are reliable. They know what they are talking about. They know how to fix things right the first time. The person that comes out is a sweet gentleman. He answers all my questions and fixes everything that needs to be fixed. He does a good job.

I haven’t gotten the bill yet. My experience with them overall was good. There wasn’t anything that I disliked about them. They were competitively priced. I liked their price and professionalism. They were just excellent.
