Description of Work: They did troubleshooting and repair for 3 outlets that we had that were not working. They were prompt and professional as usual.

Description of Work: We used Shane Shaffers for about 4 years. We were supposed to be on their annual heating list for cleaning our furnace and the annual list for cleaning and checking our Central Air. Not once during that time did they ever call to set up an appointment with us. Every time they came, there were issues. Then the last time they came for our furnace, the service man never came upstairs to check the thermostat. He just kept hollering up the steps for me to do it for him. HE did that like 4 or 5 times.

Description of Work: We had notified Shane Shaffer inc on the evening of Jan 9 Around 10:00 pm because our carbon monoxide detector was reading in 36. A tech for Shane Shaffer arrived around 10:45 and was looking at our furnace. The tech didn't say what he was doing he just started working. After about 20 - 30 minutes he started up an air compressor and was blowing out our furnace. Our furnace is located in our mud room / laundry room because we do not have a basement. The room is also ajasent to our kitchen. He proceeded to blow out our furnace without telling us to remove our jackets, shoes ect. and covering the doorway. The tech blew soot throughout our home. Our kitchen counters were black our floors were black and the mess went through our 2000 square foot home. When asked why he would do this, he had no answer and hung his head. After he returned his tools to his truck he came back with the bill. As I stared at him, I said that I wasn't paying him and to have his boss call me asap! We were up until 2:30 am trying to clean up the mess with no avail. If you ever tried to clean up soot you know what I mean. The next morning I had called Shane Shaffer Inc. and ask for the boss. They said that he was out and out of cell phone range. I had ask them to have him call me ASAP! We notified a cleaning contractor and they had come out right away. The cleaning estimate was $15000.00. That is not a typo Fifteen thousand dollars. We had notified our insurance company and the woman knew Shane Shaffer personally. She said that Shane would probably pay out of pocket like before. My thought was how many times had his company screwed up that she would know this. Mr Shaffer had called around 1:pm and I demanded that he come to our home and see the filth left behind from his tech. He reluctantly showed up around 3:00 pm. and brought his camera and took pictures. He didnt say much while he was here but the thing that amused us was that he and his employee put on shoe covers. Maybe to keep his feet clean. anyway to this date, March 23, his insurance company is still fighting us. If you ever have a furnace problem call someone else.
