She was originally nervous, but ended up happy with the work. There were quite a few workers that came out, and it took them about two days. It was very quick. The price ended up being less then originally estimated. I would tell friends and family to expect prompt work.

Work was delayed for week or two because of rain. When work was completed - rain washed a few areas and sealer needed to be re applied. Contractor returned and re-did most of the entire driveway at no addition cost. It's been a little less than a year later and the driveway has quite a few spots that look washed out and devoid of sealer. Not happy how their product performed - or if it was because the surface wasn't properly prepared prior to sealing. The only thing they asked me to do prior to sealing was clean back vegetation to seal along the edges - which I did. I would like to add that this company re-paved my entire driveway in 2005 - and did an excellent job, with which I was completely satisfied - why I returned to them for the sealing job.

This is the first time I have used Angie's List. I was in need of paving/repair/extension of our driveway. I called Ronnie Folk Paving about a month ago, the 1st or 2nd week of July 2013. Unfortunately I do not remember the woman's name I spoke to but she was very delighted that I found them on Angie's List. I too was delighted to find a highly rated paving company to give us an estimate and likely to have them complete the work. We had an extended phone conversation. I even went outside to walk off the dimensions of our driveway and the dimensions of the area we wanted expanded. She said an estimator would return my call shortly. A few days went by, and since this was the week of the horribly high temperatures, I figured they were dealing with that and let it go until the following week. Still no follow up a month after the initial call. Did our number get lost? Fall through the cracks? In this day and age of caller ID and computer input of customers name and needs I am stumped! And needless to say, disappointed!

I now have a perfectly straight and correctly designed driveway! Paving Crew: Prompt and very professional and neat about the existing landscaping. Great Service

I never saw a crew of men work like these guys worked. Seven men showed up and went to work. Each one had his own job and went to work, no nonsense just hustle. In about 2 hours the paving was finished, and everything cleaned up. I could not have asked for a better job I would recommend my grandmother to have Folk' do her work.

They have a large operation. They show up on time, have it timed well, and do everything they say they will. It worked out just fine. The quality of the work was good as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I met with Mike Smith and he measured and worked on an estimate for me. I got the quote and I was expecting to have the work started in 2 weeks but i was pleasantly surprised when they called me a week later and asked me if they could start. The excavators and the paving crew did an excellent job. In my area you can tell if Ronnie Folk did the driveway because it lasts longer and it just looks better. they don't skimp on the material. Just remember you get what you pay for. Thanks Mike and thanks to the rest of the crew.

Spoke to a woman who promised that an estimator would contact me. Never heard back. No missed calls on my phone. Not even a courtesy call to say they were busy...

I elected to do both parts of the quote. They split the work into two sessions. First they dug out the extension area, filled in ~6" of stone base, compacted the stone base and then applied a 2" layer of asphalt base coat (also compacted). About two weeks later another crew came back to apply the new topcoat over the entire driveway. The crew arrived on time and we discussed the work to be done. They prepared the driveway surface, weedwacked the edges of the existing driveway and cleaned the surface to receive the new asphalt. They masked the edges of my garage sill and home siding to keep these from being stained. They had to add almost 4" of topcoat in some areas to correct the pitch and overall averaged about 1 1/2" of new surface. The crew was about 6 people and they completed the work in about 3 hours. Each person seemed to know exactly what he needed to do at the time and they worked without taking any breaks. They explained each step as they went along, They rolled and compacted all areas of the driveway and hand tamped the edges. They checked the pitch of the driveway by applying water to the surface with a hose. When the work was finished they walked along the driveway and picked up any stones. etc. that were in the adjacent grass. The next morning I received a phone call from Mr Folk to see if I had any questions about the work and to find out if I was a satisfied customer. I feel the entire process was very satisfactory.

The workers were very efficient and prompt. Becuse Hurricane Irene came 36 hours after the work was done, some areas lost their seal coat. The company was very responsive and came back in 3 days to redo the areas that needed it.

The 930 sq. ft. driveway now is smooth and beautiful, and there was no extra charge due to the remova of t he old asphalt in front of the garage. We are completely satisfied.

They provided me with an estimate and explained over the phone exactly what was going to be done. They called the day before to let us know they would be there, did the first part of the job and came back a few days later to finish it off. After the paving was done and had set a few days they then came back and sealed the edges and end.
