I called john about a tankless hot water heater and he went into detail about his preference for and against them. He actually recommended another company if having one installed. At any rate he spent some good time with my ear and I wanted to recommend him for just that.

As always, John answered my call for help soon after I called him, squeezed me in late the same day, had what he needed to fix the leaks and was finished in short order. It was a probably a fairly minor job for a master plumber like himself, but I appreciate his professionalism and personable manner and his fast response times each time I call him--however small or big the job.

John had previously visited to counsel us on the type and size of sink to use during a remodel project. Unfortunately, the team who installed the counter used a different size sink, which caused a big problem with the existing trap and the garbage disposal. John presented solutions and his recommendation for the best solution. It took a lot of work to get things to line up and work, but John did an outstanding job of getting everything working the right way. We have used Kangaroo Plumber several times in the past and are always pleased with the high quality work, cleanliness, and professionalism. I would definitely uses Kangaroo Plumber again.

It went very well. He is a master plumber who is very efficient. He was prompt, courteous, and friendly! I will be happy to call him again when the need arises.

First of all, John is lovely. He scheduled me a week from the day he called. His prices are a little high, but he is a certified master plumber and very trustworth and friendly. You get what you pay for most times, so I was happy to provide. He was professional, explained everything, gave me some great tips on maintenance. He was running about 30 minutes behind but called ahead to tell me so it was no problem. The job was done perfectly - the new stuff looks great and is functioning very well.

My father actually told us about John (he is also an Angie's List member.) And boy are we glad we found him!! He was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and his work is top notch. We would recommend him to anyone!! He is definitely our go to plumber.

My experience with John at Kangaroo Plumbing was excellent, from start to finish. This was not as simple of a job as he expected due to our hot water radient heat u der the kitchen floor, but John did a beautiful job. He was a little late for the appointment, but called to let me know that he was running behind, which was much appreciated. His clean up was most impressive; when John left, except for the new water line, I would not have even known he was there. I would highly recommend John for any plumbing job.

My problem was repaired the same day I called. Work was flawless.

John was very clear about all our options and communicated things without pressure. Once we settled on what was to be done, he got the job done quickly. Although he ran a bit late, it was no problem because he constantly communicated via phone about the updated time. He also took the time to answer some new homeowner questions for free. Kangaroo Plumbing will be the first place we call for future plumbing needs.

We had other plumbers come in who magnified the problem and the cost. Kangaroo plumbing was just the opposite, giving us a reasonable price and completing good quality work. I highly recommend them to others.

I had used John in the past to repair a leaky faucet on the outside of the house, which he did a great job with, so I went ahead and had him replace our 20+ year old water heater with a new one. John is prompt, polite and knows his stuff. I'll call him again if I need anything in the future and will recommend him to friends.

He was able to schedule an appointment the same day I called, and he arrived within the one-hour window he indicated. He examined the toilet and didn't have the part he needed so went and got it and came back promptly to get the job done. I was especially happy that he was able to provide same-day service and that he was very nice, relaxed, professional and friendly plumber.

Outstanding! When John returned my call the day after leaving a message inquiring about a meet up, I did not assumed he was showing up to dive right in to my request. He also took time and walked through the entire house (early 1900's construction) pointing out some potential plumbing issues, explained everything in detail, what was needed/not needed, and promptly got me a written quote for all the updates. I have not moved forward on that front yet as there was some serious optimization that needs done, but it was a fair price and I would recommend John & Kangaroo Plumbing Inc to anyone.

On a summer Friday afternoon, the plumber who had been assigned my master bath toilet problem left early for his vacation without finishing his work at my place. Later that afternoon, the owner of the heating/plumbing/HVAC company said he was unable to get anyone out to do the work until Monday morning. Approaching 5PM, I figure that the best way to find someone immediately available was to look for a plumber on Angie's List with an address on a residential street in my neighborhood, just getting home from his/her work week. Within fifteen minutes of logging onto Angie's list, Kangaroo Plumbing owner John Warburton was at the the door. A half hour later, he was on his way out, with no charge for emergencies, after-hours, or weekends. I couldn't be more pleased.

Since moving into our 60-year-old house, our only tub's drain has been slow. Drain cleaners are no longer effective, so we knew it was time to bite the bullet and get the drain snaked. I called John on a Wednesday, and he was able to fit us in the following day. The snaking cost $200 because he had to go at it from both sides of the trap. While he was inspecting the pipes, he found a cracked nut which was leaking slightly, so we had him replace that as well to avoid major future leaks (another $100). I also had him take a look at the plumbing connecting to our dishwasher, which is leaking into the basement. (We had previously had an appliance repairman inspect it, but he said there was nothing wrong with the dishwasher itself.) John could not find any leaky pipes, so he ran a cycle through the dishwasher to see what it was doing. He concluded that the dishwasher is ancient and the connections are worn out, and recommended that we just get a new one instead of trying to fix it. (He charged $45 for this consultation.) I really valued John's honesty in evaluating the dishwasher situation. He even said he could install a new dishwasher for us, but noticed that our kitchen is in need of other work also and suggested that it might be better to do all of the work at once. (Ah, old Pittsburgh houses!) While his pricing is not the lowest, it is fair. I appreciate not being taken advantage of!

We had a pipe burst in our bathroom and Jon came out within the hour. He fixed the fitting and showed us what the previous plumber tried to do. He fixed the problem quickly and explained every step of what he was doing and what we could do in the future to improve the components. I use Kangaroo Plumbing all the time and have never had a bad experience. I would recommend this plumber to anyone who wants a plumber that knows his stuff.

We came home from a trip to find our bathroom ceiling dripping. I called John because he was highly recommended on Angie's list, and I wasn't disappointed. First, he came within an hour because it was a leak (later I found out he rearranged his schedule for us), he then proceeded to figure out what the problem was and fix it. He kept us informed along the way as to what might be going on, and then when he figured it out he gave us estimates. After fixing the leak, he replaced the insides of two very old toilets with modern mechanisms. Other plumbers had told us this wasn't possible, but John did it. He isn't cheap, but I gave him an "A" for price, because I feel I got what I paid for - excellent service that bailed us out of a potential problem with the weekend looming, and two fixed toilets that I was on the verge of replacing. Besides that, John is a great guy ! !

John was prompt and professional. Told me what needed to be done and the cost and what problems he might run into and what additional cost would be. Made repairs and cleaned up.Excellent service and price was more than fair!! Will call him if any future plumbing problems come up. Great Work!!!

John is polite professional, prompt, cleans up after himself, and appears very competent. However, the 5 1/2 hours of work cost $800, which works out to $145.50 an hour! This is way out of line. There are plenty of plumbers out there who are just as good but charge far less. Caveat emptor. We should have gotten an estimate (or three) or at least asked him ahead of time what he charged per hour.

He did a good job. He came quickly and did the job fast and the price was fair.

John was punctual, professional and easy to work with. It was a small but important repair (I am selling my house). He set up a time, called to confirm and was on time. He explained everything that needed repaired and how he would do it. Definitely felt good about working with John and would do so in the future.

I called because we have a very old house and John's description mentioned that as one of his specialties. Also, we like to work with owners who either do their own work or have a very small company. After describing what we needed to have done (exterior downspouts don't drain anymore) John was quick to refer me to another company and provided reasons why he recommends that company. I appreciate his professionalism and courtesy. I would call him in the future if the need arises.

Kangaroo plumbing was excellent. I could not have asked for better quality service. The plumber was more than happy to explain every thing he was doing as he was doing it at my request to learn. He took the time to point out what was wrong with my faucet handles, and suggested different ways he could fix them and the cost of each option. I will seek him out whenever I need any plumbing done. I even recommended him to a contractor friend of mine, in case he had business to send his way.

We have use John Warbuton's Kangaroo Plumbing several times over the years and have always found him to be very professional, prompt and courteous. He performed this job exactly that way. The job could nave been considerably less expensive had we not opted for a fancier valve handle and trim. John was able to get a discount on those parts which he kindly passed along to us. The job took special care, because access to the valve is limited and John was able to complete the work without having to break through the tile wall.

He did a nice job of diagnosing the problem with the water hammer noise in the bathroom. I thought it was going to be a big repair, tearing into the wall to find the banging pipes. He saw that the valve was faulty and that fixed the problem quickly and cheaply.
