He is excellent and very good at what he does. His services cost a lot of money, but it is well worth it. He does charge a service fee of $75 and does not deduct it from the work that is done.

I'm pleased with the work they did. They're a little on the expensive side, as plumbers go, but he was very thorough, really knew his stuff, had extra information to in part, and I would probably hire him again. He had the parts with him and he didn't have to come back, you know, he had is act together, that's not always the case. The person that runs the company is very pleasant.

Very easy scheduling and very responsive, however, I made the mistake of not asking ahead of time for a cost estimate. I anticipated that I would be paying an hourly rate and was prepared to do so, however, instead I was billed a fixed price. For a job that took 2 hours I paid $500 plus a $75 call-out fee. I think that was pretty expensive. My mistake for not asking. I won't do that again.

Outstanding! Price was reasonable. Workmanship meticulous. When John was delayed by finishing another job he called to explain & indicated his anticipated time of arrival. His work included removal of old water heater. Once new one was installed he carefully explained its operation. This is the fourth time he has done work for us in the last 12 years- we would not call anyone else!

Plumber was great. I called him as a first-time client, and he came to my house that Friday evening (within hours) and immediately fixed the problem. I'd highly recommend.

The work was done quickly and without any problems, however, I made the mistake of not getting a price ahead of time. I assumed it would be a time based price (I had the materials). It was not. For a job that took maybe an hour or perhaps a bit more, the price was outrageous. $500 PLUS and callout fee.

John was meticulous, kept me well-informed, worked well with my chosen contractor (whom he had not previously met), and delivered a fantastic result. He's not the cheapest plumber in town, nor the most expensive. I think his prices are fair for the quality of work that he delivers. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Kangaroo Plumbing arrived in the evening (after 6 pm) after clearly working a long day. He stayed for 2 hours until the job was done. Apparently, over the years, egg shells finely ground by our garbage disposal accumulated in a section of the pipe well below the kitchen. The blockage was cleared, robust shut-off valves were installed as well as a new kitchen faucet (that I picked up from Lowe's to replace our faulty faucet). We were so happy with the repair job that we hired Kangaroo Plumbing on the spot to return the next week to install a bathroom sink (I also picket up from Lowe's) and to correct more faulty plumbing associated with our laundry area. A great amount of care and effort was demonstrated with all of the work done. Additionally, Kangaroo Plumbing was fine with being observed throughout parts of the process and took the time to explain to me in detail how everything worked. At the end, I felt very satisfied at becoming more educated on the inner workings of my home.

John was professional and friendly. He repaired the faucet quickly and cleaned up after himself. He also gave us recommendations for fixture brands that he prefers since we will be remodeling our bathroom sometime this year. We have used Kangaroo Plumbing several times now and have always been super pleased with John's services.

we would recommend him to anyone. a nice guy and very responsive to fix our emergency issue. we noticed the leak under the kitchen sink late on a friday afternoon and he was able to make it here within an hour. we were pleasantly surprised about that. he went and picked up a new faucet and installed it so we didn't have to empty a bucket all weekend. i like that he takes the time to look for and explain any future plumbing problems you may have (in an older home with deferred maintenance) and yet doesn't try to sell you anything unnecessary. price seemed reasonable each time we have used him (about 4 times). our first job with him was very telling. the old water main shut off valve broke in the middle of our kitchen redo and we couldn't find anyone to repair it. we were turned down by 3 different (well-reviewed) plumbers because our curb box (under sidewalk water shut-off) was not accessible. we had almost given up when i called him. he said that he could fix on the first call and couldn't believe the other plumbers wouldn't. luckily the water was able to be partially shut off so he was able to replace the shut off valve by working over and repeatedly emptying buckets. all of the new plumbing looks and works great --it is almost like having a newer house. one con is that he only works in the city or possibly the east end. but i am not sure about that.

The bathtub drain became clogged to the point of taking more than a day to fully drain. I called John to get a quote and make an appointment. The price is a bit steeper than other plumbers, but I chose John because he was very knowledgeable and was honest about possible complications that could come up. The job itself turned out to be fairly straightforward, and John was courteous, friendly and professional. He cleaned up after himself, and even gave my tub a bit of a scrub (since it was dirty from the water not draining), which was a nice touch.

John repaired our leaky shower knob with a replacement washer, whereas another plumber that we previously called told us that our shower knob and washer was out of date and would need to be replaced. We were so happy to find someone who could fix our faucet rather than replace it. This was a big deal. Because if we had to replace it, we would have had to do re-tile the wall. This saved us a lot of time and money. Plus why discard something when you can fix it? The prior plumber also said that we would have to replace our toilet because it was too old to obtain parts for it. This was not the case with Kangaroo plumbing. John had the parts in his truck. Now our toilet works perfectly. We did not need to replace it. Several months after our shower faucet was replaced, it began to leak again. We called John and he came in the same day and repaired it with a new washer mechanism. We tried to pay him for coming out, because it was not his fault that the washer was worn so quickly, but he refused to take payment. He wanted to stand by his original work. John is an honest person who will be there when you need him, and do an excellent job for you.

John is always on time, communicates about any issues or delays in work schedule and does excellent work including complete clean-up when he is finished working. I have used John on numerous occasions over the years for both plumbing and furnace cleaning/repairs and have never had any issues with his work. He is knowledgeable about older plumbing and furnaces which is what my house has, being a late-1920's era home. I appreciate that he knows how to deal with old house issues.

John was great to work with. He answered his phone every time I needed to get in touch with him. I felt like he had my best interests at heart when giving me options about the work he was doing. I will contact him in the future with all of my plumbing needs.

We forgot to shut our water off this winter and when we turned on our outside faucet this spring water stayed like crazy. John has done work on our house a few times before and he is not just a really neat and conscientious plumber but he is a totally nice guy. He even let me take a video of him explaining and demonstrating how to turn off the valves in the basement and how to drain the pipes. Now I won't forget next winter. He also showed me how to unclog my bathroom sink and offered me the tool I needed to use to snake the drain. There were nuts and levers involved in the tutorial but he was like, "if you can learn how to do this periodically you can save yourself some money rather than paying me to come out." I really can't praise him enough. Reliable friendly professional and competent.

John is extremely punctual, professional, but most importantly, knows what he is doing more than anyone else I have used in any area. I wish I had a service provider in every profession that was like him - especially at that intersection of mastering his/her trade AND being punctual and professional. If I want anything in my house fixed right (and plumbing is our biggest issue in an old house that has had many improper work over the years) - John does it exceptionally well. Most importantly, his work gives me peace of mind in knowing I don't have to worry. I was referred to him by friends, and know many others who have had the same stellar experience.

John's plumbing work is always meticulous and he has been extremely creative in solving problems that other plumbers couldn't solve. He is very attentive to details and I can be quite picky. John has been here many times over the years ? our home needed quite a few updates - new hot water tank, sump pump, gas line to grill replaced, pressure reducing valve, various valves and faucets replaced, the usual clogged drains, etc, etc. It's always a pleasure to have work done by John (Kangaroo Plumbing). I don't hesitate to recommend him to neighbors and friends and have done so many times. Everyone has been very satisfied.

He looked at the job, and gave me an estimate before the job was done. He was very professionable and was on time. He cleaned up after himself and his work was excellent. I would highly recommend him.
