Graff Landscaping

Very well. Dave and his crew were efficient, knowledgeable, hard working and professional. He had the requisite equipment (digger, dump trucks, etc) to get the job done. Dave had a number of valuable suggestions for us as well once he had cleared the property line and we could see things better. He worked with the local code enforcement people and our fence contractor too, to ensure everything would meet expectations.

Dave Graff was very responsive when I was looking for someone to remove 15 shrubs. He was very busy but found time to give me an estimate within a week of when I called him. He was willing to do my work within 2 weeks in between other jobs. I ended up finding someone who would do my entire landscaping job including both the shrubs removal and installation of new where the removal price was the same as Dave's estimate.
I would not hesitate to contact Dave for other work since he was so responsive.

The place looks perfect when he leaves and he shows up when he is supposed to. He has got some staff to work on and they are all polite and nice men.

They cut the grass and due a great job trimming but they have a tendency to scalp the grass in spots.

Came on a Monday showed up on time. Gave us a price based on a week of work (we kept adding on) and in the end the price was less since he finished early. Moved tons of dirt around my yard and When he was done they cleaned up and left us with a much better setting. We have used Dave for a hardscape project also. We are always very happy with his work. We give Dave's # out a lot and everyone always thanks us. If u call Dave in the spring or summer expect a wait. He is always busy.

This review would have been higher (B or A) if not for a couple of things.  Dave's team bid on a patio job that was left unfinished by another contractor. 
The good: He was able to integrate the patio and drainage installation nicely with retaining wall and in-ground pool built a few months earlier.  He seems to be very knowledgeable with drainage systems, and water does drain properly even away from the house after heavy rains.  The job was completed within a week. 
The bad:  Left a few details unfinished, which he promised to come back and finish but after repeated calls and a few months I eventually had to hire another contractor to complete.  (He pulled some blocks off the existing retaining wall - without permission - to complete the patio steps, but did not come back to repair the wall as discussed after the replacement blocks were delivered.) Also took $100 of equipment when his crew packed up and did not return the items as requested; Dave acknowledged those items weren't his and had promised to return them.  His team also drove some heavy equipment (back hoes, large dump trucks, etc) over our side walk and yard, which further depressed and chipped a slightly sunken concrete sidewalk.  We ended up having to repairing the sidewalk afterward. 
Conclusion: He seems more suited to larger, commercial projects than smaller residential projects requiring more attention to details.

Dave and his crew have been taking care of our lawn for over 2 years.   He was suggested to us from the previous owners.  He is punctual, the quality of the work is great and his price is fair.  We will continue to use his services in the future.

Over the past few weeks, there are certain things that haven't been done correctly, or sufficiently.  I spoke with the workers supervisor over the phone, and then told them about it in person, but the issue is still not resolved.  I am considering going with another another company, but they may still rectify the situation yet.

I would never recommend this vendor.
Dave Graff was recommended to us by another vendor who could not, or would not be able to, do the job. We called him a few times and left messages. Finally, I was able to reach him in person and he said he would stop by that week to view the property and would get back to me. I never heard from him again, despite phoning him multiple other times and leaving messages.
If he was unable or unwilling to do the job, he should have had the honor to tell me so, as his colleague did.
The only reason I gave him a D on professionalism was because he was polite and professional on the phone the one time he did answer his phone. Other than that, his performance was terrible.

They are very responsive and do good work.

I asked him for an estimate. I told him I wanted it in writing. He was supposed to get back to me, and he did not. He seems very nice. When he came out, he had a device that he used to measure the slope. He had a lot of nice ideas for what he could do with the project. I was not happy that he did not get back to me. He did say he had issues with the place he keeps his equipment.

Dave and his crew are great to work with! Wonderful personalities and reasonable prices. Dave showed up and went above and beyond what was expected. He did a 12" base of 2a and then laid many types of pavers. He followed our drawing perfectly. To go into full detail would take me 4 hours to write a review but it was done on time and our pavers and walls look wonderful.

We have been using Graff Landscaping for our lawn care for over a year.  It is a family run local business.  Dave's crew is punctual and professional; the work completed is always of good quality; and Dave's prices are reasonable.   Dave and Wendy are easy to contact and they respond quickly to our requests for extra services.  Recently, I made a mistake of writing them a cheque for over $5000 dollars and Wendy called me to inform me of my error. Their honesty places them high on my list great companies.  We plan to hire them again this year.

He is always on time.  He actually shows up to do the work, whereas other contractors told me they were sending a crew.

They are really good when they finally show up. It was two months since I was waiting for them and asked them to come. They have so many customers now that they are finding it difficult to meet all their obligations on time. When they do get to you they have a good price and they do a really good job. I told them now itself that I want them next year in March and I am not waiting till May.

It went very nicely, the wall still looks nice.  They responded right away to my call and they were middle of the range price.  Their workmen were very, very nice.  The job is nice. 

This is the second time i have used Graff landscaping. He once again went above and beyond my expectations. My back yard looks exactly how i wanted it to turn out. When i started this project last year i had 3 bids and Dave priced in between but even if he would of been the highest bid i would of still went with his company. I learned a few years ago you get what you pay for when doing a home project.

From the minute i met Dave i liked him, i feel like he is one of the few honest contractors out there. He showed up at my house on time and met with me 3times to figure out placement and design, i never felt rushed the 3rd time he was at my home for over 3hours (i had so many questions about where we should put the grill and bar area). My backyard was tricky because of all the slopes but we figured out the placement and design and next day he had his machines out there and spent two days preparing my back yard, the 3rd day the supplies showed up and he and his 3 guys worked straight for a week. I never realized how much goes into building a retaining wall or making a patio out of pavers, he leveled the rock/base material over and over until it was perfect. They were such a great crew. I will use Dave again next year when i get my driveway done. Thank you Dave you went above and beyond my expectations!
