I have used ESP Painting since 2008. They are wonderful, talented painters, and the repairs they have done for my home have been performed expertly. The same crew has been coming to my house for about eight years. Last year I had a roof leak and a new addition installed where the leaky flat roof used to be. After the addition was installed, there was a lot of patchwork, repair, and painting to be done. ESP saved my house! They repaired the damaged crown molding, repaired damaged walls, cleaned up the leak stains, matched trim that had been mismatched by the addition builders, and painted everything beautifully. My house finally looks wonderful now. The crew always arrived on time (at 9am, upon my request) and finished promptly at 5. They cleaned up everything each day; I did not have to sweep once! Five people worked on the job, so it was finished rather quickly. The cost is not cheap, but given the elegant professional work and the attention to detail, it was well worth it. The owner, Eric, is flexible with my schedule and sensitive to my allergies. They will return if you are not satisfied with any part of the work, and they are gracious when you change your mind about colors. I wanted the work to be perfect, and I knew that I could count on them to make it happen. I was so pleased!

The crew that came did a fantastic job. They started every morning promptly at 9 as promised, they were meticulous. At the end of each day, they cleaned up all material. They worked a full day. The workers were friendly and polite, I felt completely at ease with them. I couldn't be more pleased with how the job turned out. I have already asked Eric to give me an estimate on some outside work I need done, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends & family. Great job!!

Eric and his crew were terrific. Could not have had a better experience. Very professional, courteous and clean. I have had the house painted several times in the 23 years I have lived here. ESP is by far the very best. The wood repair and the caulking were the best of anyone I have used in the past. I would not hesitate to recommend them and will use them in the future.

Came by for estimate and the estimate was way too high. He completely disregarded the deal and estimated the cost of my job. I never found out what two painters could do in a day. Did not break it down for me when I asked him to. He wasn't very responsive to my questions.

Eric was professional, knowledgeable and thorough; he had plenty of questions and made great suggestions for reducing some of the trouble we have had with paint/plaster in our bathroom. Overall, the experience was a pleasant one. His was one of three strong estimates we received; unfortunately, that made price more of a factor than we anticipated and his quote, while competitive, was the highest of the three. That said, if we found ourselves in need of another painter I would not hesitate to contact him again.

One of the best painters around. Very professional, insured and customer focused. Eric was present during start and end of the job, he visited frequently to check, handle change orders etc. There were some issues with a brick sealer that was promptly taken care of by engaging the manufacturer. Honest, professional and trustworthy paint crew. Always cleaned up after themselves. Attention to details. I am very happy with the finished job. Highly recommended.

Eric came and did the estimate and he sent his brother and another guy to do the work. They were very efficient and friendly, moved our furniture carefully and covered everything well so that there was no spilled paint or dust on anything. We were very happy with everything except for the price. Part of the reason it was so high was that we had originally asked them to just paint above the chair rail and then same day we asked to paint the bottom too. Obviously Eric knew we weren't going to seek other bids at that point, so he charged more than what I expect you would normally pay for a one room job. Still, we are happy with their work. They also did another job for us fixing some water damage in the hallway (for $150), and we thought that price was much more reasonable.

I signed the contract, and everything seemed like it would be ready to go for work to be performed. We hadn't narrowed down a specific day, but were operating under the assumption that work would be performed during the week of January 12. I wound up asking if he could dilute the color of the paint somewhat, as the color was a bit too strong. He said that he could not, as it would void, and then also came back to say that he was going to recommend that I contact Angie's List for a refund and "he can't waste time playing around mixing paint to make a color.", and said, "At this point, I don't feel as though we will be both satisfied at the end." That was from an email. I think the paint excuse is a weak one. All he had to do was say that we had to use the color we had originally chosen, which would have been fine. He didn't even attempt to negotiate with me.

My husband had an operation which made his care a first priority for about 2 years. During that time my parents house became covered with black mold. Until my husband recovered there was nothing I could do. When I arrived at my parents home I wanted to cry. I called 7 painters. Only Eric from ESP Painting gave me the feeling that he knew what to do, that he would completely solve my problem and that he could do it for a price I could afford. It took 8 men over 6 weeks to totally resolve and beautify my family's lovely 100 year old home. They arrived everyday at 7:00 AM and worked hard all day long. They were professional, polite, and did great work. Other companies actually quoted me a higher price and offered less in service which is why I went with ESP. They did a beautiful job for me and the house looks great. It was sold in 5 weeks.

The entire team is incredibly professional and helpful. Eric, the owner, is absolutely outstanding. Their prices are reasonable the quality is terrific and I would use them over and over again. They arrive when they say they're going to and they are done when they say they're going to be done.

I was impressed with the professionalism from the initial estimate through job completion. I appreciated the fact that Eric put together a comprehensive estimate document for my review. His team did quick but careful work and were thoughtful about minimizing disruption. When miscommunication issues did arise regarding the paint color they used for part of the job, Eric sent out a team to make it right. While the plaster repairs and resurfacing on the bathroom ceiling did not end up as pretty as they probably would have if done by a plasterer specialist, they were still a big improvement and came in at half the cost of plasterer quotes.

It was awesome! We order 8 hours of service. They came out a week before hand and mentioned it might be tough to put a couple costs on all the walls, stairwell, and hallway, all in 8 hours. However, the painter came and was able to get everything completely finished (not an easy task given the areas we needed painted). The wife and I absolutely love the paint job, as it makes it feel so much more like home! All in all , it really was an awesome experience. I'll definitely go back to ESP if I need other rooms painted in the future. Thanks a ton guys!

I was extremely happy with ESP. They did everything right. Eric responded very promptly and came out the next day. The guys started the very next day. They were very polite, listened carefully to what I needed done and did a great job. They also cleaned up perfectly when they were done. They asked questions along the way to make sure they clearly understood what I wanted to have done. Eric also checked in with me daily to make sure that everything was going well. Very friendly and professional. I would definitely use them again.

They let me know they would not be able to perform the work in the time frame I needed. I requested a refund for the Big Deal.

As I said above, we asked that ESP paint our trim around windows and doors, and paint the doors (per our real estate agents suggestion, in order to "brighten" the house up before we put it on the market). All areas were taped off beautifully, several coats were applied, and great care was taken to cover furniture. We also asked that two bathrooms be painted, as well as our dining room, and the walls down towards our basement. In a couple of situations, we didn't have leftover paint -- so ESP people got a chip of paint off of our wall and color-matched it. As Eric went around our house for the estimate, he picked out possible problems with a ceiling or wall that they could fix, and then explained in detail HOW it would be fixed and then painted. I'm not kidding, our house now looks brand new as a result. Eric thought that a window in our sunroom could be fixed by one of his people, but the damage turned out to be more than could be easily handled by a non-carpenter, so Eric called me ASAP, and suggested a carpenter friend who could look at it and see if he could fix it. I appreciated the help with this matter. After the job was completed (today) all the furniture was put back in it's original position, tape was removed from the carpet, walls, and doorknobs, and vacuuming was done to leave things as nice as possible. I feel like I was dealt with honestly and responsibly. All of the men who came to our house were great. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

In July 2011ESP Paintng did some work for us and sometime afterward, we submitted a glowing report to Angie's List. We were so pleased we contacted them again this past spring and contracted for them to paint the outside of our home. However we agreed the job would not be started until the end of summer or early fall. Needless to say the job has not yet begun.

He is very good and I would hire him again. He was very professional, meticulous and good. They made sure I was happy. The relationship was very well.

ESP Painting did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to use them again for future painting jobs. They painted my house as if it were their own - and that level of professionalism is very hard to find. They arrived promptly at 9am daily. They thoroughly prepped all surfaces to be painted through each coat of paint. After each coat of paint, they would self-inspect what was painted and prep and re-paint if it did not look exactly right. They were careful with the paint so that none showed up on surfaces that it should not be on. For readers who have had experiences in the past where good craftspeople had "salty" language while working - ESP is not a worry - so I would say they are especially good to hire if one has younger, impressionable children around. ESP was here a total of 4 days to complete the job. I recommend them without reservation if you want a high quality, highly professional painting job completed.

I called Eric in a panic because my previous painter had a heart attack on the job. He responded immediately (on a Saturday morning) and scheduled for the following Monday. He was honest and complete in his estimating, and returned a bid to me within a day. We were a bit lucky that his crew was on an outside job on a rainy week, so they were able to start soon after my first call, although the work would have been worth the wait. The crew was lovely to work with - and easily the most thorough painters I've ever worked used. They really took their time prepping the surfaces, and were able to smooth and repair virtually all of the cracks in my 100+ year old house. They also added some outside work to the scope at my request, and were able to do so while completing all the other work as well. Although the process of having your entire home painted and plastered by five guys at once is not dust free or without disruption, these gentlemen were very careful to cover everything with drop cloths or plastic and returned my house to be better than they found it.

They were very professioanl, very neat, the workers were very respectful. They were on time and did a very good job. Neighbors have complimented on how nice the house looks and noticed the great job that the workers did. The owner, Eric, was nice to work with. He answered all my questions and returned all phone calls and emails. He is giving me an estimate for interior painting of home.

Excellent. Responded personally in every aspect. Attention to detail was excellent. Eric was in constant contact with me and responded to every question or concern. Eric's brother, Mike, was here for the entire job and Eric stopped to check on the progress. When I decide to paint the interior, ESP will be the only painters I will use.

The job went very well. The painters stayed as long as they needed to to complete the job. They cleaned up after themselves, and took pride in their work. They were prompt and dependable.
