Outstanding work!

Very smoothly. As others have mentioned, Eric's communication (by e-mail and cell phone) is excellent. His bid was timely (middle price of our 3 estimates) and work started within the time frame he promised and was complete on time even after we added additional rooms. The crew prefers to start at the top of the house and work down, but were accommodating of my need to work from home (in our 1st floor study) on certain days and so finished up in the study in time for me to access it. Given that we had work going on over 4 floors (and 7 days), I think that it went as smoothly as it possibly could have. There were usually 3 crew members working in our house on any given day including Eric's brother, Mike. All the painters were extremely pleasant to be around -- they were nice to me, to my son and to each other -- it really made for a nice atmosphere. When I decided to change the color in one bathroom (after the priming), they were exceptionally good-natured about the change. They swept at the end of each day and always asked if I was OK with dropcloths/equipment being left in a room for continuing work there the following day. Despite their dropcloths and cleaning, the work did create plenty of dust for my cleaning afterward -- I would guess that to be generally true of projects of this scale though. They repaired a futon frame that was damaged when moving as soon as I pointed it out. A floorboard also got gouged by something in the painting process, but overall I felt like they were very careful with our things and the job they were doing. They threw in a couple extras, like painting a radiator when it looked bad behind the newly painted radiator cover, to make the work really look good. The plaster repair work, especially around the 3rd floor chimney and a large ceiling crack in a bedroom turned out exceptionally well. The painting itself is also neat and just as specified. I would not hesitate to use ESP again and have already recommended to a neighbor.

We were in need of freshening up our offices with a new paint job as we were getting new tenants. Eric came promptly and gave us a competitive bid. We did not have to wait long. They fit us into their schedule and did a great job. Eric has a good team and they were all professional.

I am very pleased with the results. Eric was quick to return my calls and e-mails. The interior was beautifully painted (all trim, windows, ceilings and walls) and the porch looks great - they repaired some damage a woodpecker had caused, caulked, and painted the porch and shutters. I had another company paint my exterior several years ago and am much happier with ESP's work. The crew was prompt, friendly, professional and very attentive to detail. They even fixed a door that stuck and a broken closet door without me asking. I will definitely use them in the future.

ESP had done work for us before and we decided to ask him for a bid on the painting because we need to get the house ready to sell. Worked with us on the schedule and completed the work We were very satisfied with the workers and the finished work.

I was rennovating my kitchen and had just installed new cabinets, but the walls and ceiling were a mess. I contacted ESP (among others) largely due to the reviews they received on Angie's List. Eric was extremely responsive and professional. He previewed the site, offered several suggestions along the way on finish, scheme, colors, etc. and sent a quote very quickly (which I appreciated since I was already pushed for time during the holidays). I ultimately chose ESP for the job and am very pleased with the result. Eric and his team were very professional, courteous, kept a clean work space, and worked quickly. The entire job was done in two days. The team was thorough and insisted that I check the job fully to ensure there wasn't anything I wanted to change or address before they completed the work. I have received several compliments since then on the work and plan to use ESP for two other projects in my home this season.

Eric and his team did an excellent job w/ our kitchen painting. Eric was prompt in coming out to give an estimate, provided a detailed, written proposal, and did the work when he indicated he would do it. We left him a key since we were at work both days they were in our house and Eric was very professional and trustworthy. We are thrilled w/ the way it turned out. Eric's team even brought in our newspaper and garbage cans from the curb. We will definitely use them again. He was easy to reach (email, cell phone, etc.) and incredibly responsive.

Overall, I would say servicewise, ESP was very good. The actual workmanship of painting 2 40' x 6" boards along the top of my house is still to be seen. Only time will tell that. Eric was very professional. I still think the cost was too high. That's just my opinion. That's why you have Angie's list right?

A good experience from start to finish. Eric was prompt in returning my call, inspecting the job, and submitting his bid, which was squarely in the midrange of those I received. After I accepted, he estimated a start date, which turned out to be reasonably accurate, given the poor weather. Once his crew started, they worked full time, finishing in 3 days. Very little collateral damage: they left my brick, glass and shrubbery free of paint, and they swept up their debris on completion. Workmanship was of good quality, and any minor flaws were corrected by Eric himself at the final walk-through, mostly without my asking.

Overall, the process with ESP was very smooth. Eric accomodated our need for the interior painting to be completed before our move in date and worked around other contractors in the house, as needed. Their estimate was reasonable and they were flexible in dealing with our cost constraints. Eric and his brother were two of the most competent and easy to work with contractors we've come across. The only issue we had with the company was that some of their team members were more skilled than others and consistency is something the company should strive for as it grows. That being said, the overall quality of work was good. Further, ESP always inspected their work with us and corrected anything that was needed. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to have similar work performed.

Eric and ESP Painting did a great job. I called late on a Friday afternoon and Eric made an appointment to check out the job the next day. Eric is very communicative and explained the process of the job in great detail. From there, he emailed me a very detailed estimate and reviewed it with me. Eric then was able to present insurance information and even did something many contractors won't do, agree to Net 30 payment terms, at my request. Eric then waited until the appropriate weather and staged and completed the job. I received no complaints from the tenants and I'm very satisfied with the job. After being burned by contractors, ESP Painting shows that there are good contractors out there and I would highly reccomend them.

They were extremely professional from first contact. Phone calls and emails were returned promptly. The painting crew was courteous and friendly. The quality of work was excellent down to the smallest detail.

Eric was the first contractor to return my call when I started looking for contractor quotes, and he was the first to arrive to quote. He did submit the lowest bid (by only $300), but I did not choose him for that reason. (Bids ranged from $4,200 to $10,300.) He sent his bid by email about two days after looking at the house. The bid/contract was extremely detailed, and that professionalism impressed me. He didn't start the job for a few weeks after his "best hope" estimate, but, given the rain we had experienced, I was scarcely surprised or concerned. He had promised me that once they started my job, they wouldn't leave it for another job, and they did not. His crew is just terrific. Pete, the crew chief, is a real artist and a perfectionist. All of them were a pleasure to have around. My house is 100 years old, and the trim hadn't been painted for a very long time. I've only owned it three years, but neighbors' best guesses are that it's been at least 15 years. So it was in bad shape. The muntins do not look as good as I had hoped, but they told me they would have had to take everything apart and start over to get them perfect -- the cost of which would have made replacement a better option. They left the property clean every night, and when the job was finished, Eric appeared to organize and label leftover paint, inspect the work, and make sure there were no problems. Good experience.

Our parents had both passed away,one in Dec and one in Jan. We chose March to empty the house and get it ready to sell. My sister arranged for ESP to come the same week to do the work in the office and bathroom. The wallpaper in the office was a dark blue stripe and the main bathroom was a floral paper that matched the bright blue 60's tile and fixtures.My sister decided to have the border removed from the kitchen and the walls painted a light almond to match the appliances..Eric and crew were able to work undistracted as we packed and moved boxes and furniture. They got everything done in the time period and even disposed of old paint. They put any paint left in labled containers on a shelf in the basement and helped us out by also taking my plastic grocery bags.

We live in Philadelphia. We learned of and contacted ESP painting via Angie's list. Eric drove past the property and submitted a bid. We discussed the terms of the contract and came to an agreement. Eric was prompt to perform the services within the time frames stated. Our tenant kept us informed as to the performances of the services. The job was completed to our satisfaction. It is important that we find professionals that can work unsupervised and complete the contract with pride and to the best of their ability as promised.

Eric bid on interior painting work I was having done in my home and I was very impressed with his professionalism. I opted to award the job to another Angie's List contractor, but it was a very difficult decision. I'm posting this feedback for other Angie's List readers to recommend readers consider using ESP.

It went very well. Eric is very attentive, organized, sensitive and accessible.

Overall, we had a great experience. No surprises. We got 3 estimates for this job, and chose ESP even though this estimate was not the lowest. Our impression was that we would get a a quality paint job from a company that does not try to cut corners. We were right. Both Eric and his painters pointed out things that may need fixed. The painters were very hard workers. They also encouraged us to let them know if we found any missed areas or any errors. Eric was good at keeping us updated on the schedule. The job took longer than anticipated, but only because of setbacks due to rain. We are very pleased with our experience with ESP and will contact Eric again to paint for us. Our final cost was slightly higher than our estimate because we decided to have a little extra work done.

They did a great job! I would highly recommend them, they always call back and are willing to good the extra yard. Very professional!
