Asap Locksmith

Accidentally called this company because I messed up the name of a highly rated Angie's list member. I messed up and searched the web rather than checking the list and in under 15 minutes there was a locksmith at my house that wasn't the contractor I expected. The telephone operator pretended that the contractor I requested was on vacation and was sending out someone else - they did not tell me that I had the wrong place. They also did not tell me that there was a service charge for the visit. The contractor that arrived was local (the website does not even have a physical address and when I called to try and get one the operator was nothing but rude). He may do fine work, but his quote was very high - $600 for new cores on the front and back door 4 locks including the $75 service charge that I was not told about on the phone. He also quoted me $300 to fix an old doorknob on my closet door. I decided against the work and refused to pay a service fee that I was not informed about prior to his arrival. The quote from the highly rated Angie's list member I meant to call originally was $200 for the 4 locks on the front and back doors as well as 8 copies of the key. And, he fixed my closet doorknob for free in under 5 minutes!
